Great bakery and various grocery items. Didn’t give them 5 stars because of the cashiers. They always seem to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. This morning I went to checkout and I tried to hand the cashier my SuperFood card. I didn’t hear her the first time, but I tried to scan it and she responded, “I ALREADY DID IT.” Why are the cashiers scanning with their own card to get points/discounts instead of giving customers the opportunity to use their own? She had scanned her card before I even approached the cashier. Not to mention their grumpy attitudes. This happens every single visit. I tried to smile at the cashier, but all she did was give me nasty looks. I get that it’s their norm to tourists, particularly U.S. tourists, but saying “good morning” or “thank you” goes a long way.
And also, the boys (baggers) just stand around and not even help bag. As a business owner, I wouldn’t allow employees to get paid for doing nothing. It’s probably the culture, but don’t just stare at me while you’re standing there.
