Super Hero Banh Mi Vietnamese Takeaway

Stumbled upon this place during an outing at Castlemaine last weekend. Can I say I was thoroughly surprised by the quality of the herbs, meat, bun, everything. Wow, best meal I have had in a while. My partner had the banh mi with pork, and I had the rice vermicelli noodles with pork. I would happily have this meal every day for a month. Extremely fresh ingredients (house picked vegetables!) and the pork was just so delicious and flavorsome! They have a very short opening time of 12PM-3PM but please treat your palette to some Super Hero goodness - you won’t regret it.

These chefs actually know how to make tofu delicious. Vegetarian Banh mi can often taste quite bland but not from here! The staff member who served me was also really friendly, even when I arrived just 15 minutes before they were closing.

Wow! Banh Mi’s are to die for and worth the drive to Castlemaine. The meat is so tasty and high quality, the rolls are so soft and fresh and the vegetables are pickled perfectly. Finished with their mayo and pate, we get extra because it’s just so good. Make the effort to stop here, wait if you have to, it’s worth it! You won’t regret it

Bahn mi is delicious no doubt but I am a part timer with limited income, bills to pay and I don't rely on Centrelink for support so, I could no longer justify paying $16 for one that I could have had in Melbourne for $9. I'm not affiliated with Luke's Bahn Mi in Melbourne but their Vietnamese rolls are delicious and much kinder to my wallet.

Received pork bao instead of the vegan one we ordered and unfortunately didn’t realise until after leaving… otherwise the banh mi was very tasty, but $16 (+10% holiday surcharge) is crazy expensive.

Omygosh!!!! Seriously!!! I am still craving this! I had the tofu salad!!! Firstly the fact there were vegan options Secondly, didn't wait long Thirdly, the taste!!!! Wow! This exceeded all my expectations! The tofu was cooked beautifully! The sauce, the peanuts, the freshness! Absolutely wonderful! I'm hating that you are so far away!!! My photo I had already eaten some! But would highly highly recommend this place!!!!! Delicious!!!!!!!

The best Banh Mi I've had! Be warned, their food is highly addictive. As a new Castlemaine resident, I am averaging food from Super Hero at least once a week. Great Vegan options. IT'S JUST SO GOOD!

Drove past this place by chance and noticed how busy it was... we thought we'd better see what all the fuss was about ! It did not disappoint. Food was sensational—full of flavour. Cant wait to go back. Vegan options are excellent (the sticky tofu is sooo good).
