If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience with stunning riverside views, Super Loco at Robertson Quay and Customs House is the place to be.
Nestled along the historic Singapore River, this colourful cantina brings the lively energy of Mexico City to our shores. From the vibrant street posters adorning the walls to the friendly, high-energy staff who make you feel right at home, Super Loco is a gem for those craving bold flavours and a fantastic atmosphere.
This February, Super Loco is turning up the romance with their Loco in Love specials, available for a limited time only. The Cupid’s Churros Sundae ($15) is a dream come true for dessert lovers – crispy red velvet heart-shaped churros paired with creamy vanilla ice cream and an indulgent mix of sweet toppings. Every bite is a perfect balance of crunch and melt-in-your-mouth goodness.
To accompany this sweet treat, the Soulmate’s Spritz ($21) is a refreshing cocktail made with Los Arcos Blanco, strawberries, lime, agave, prosecco, and soda – the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and bubbly to set the mood.
Beyond the specials, Super Loco’s regular menu is just as exciting. The Roasted Cauliflower ($9) was a flavour explosion – every floret was coated in nutty cashew crema, Tajín spice, and tangy pickled jalapeños, making it an instant favourite.
The Mango Ceviche ($18) was another highlight, with fresh seabass marinated in coconut, mango, and serrano chilli, served alongside crispy corn chips for a tropical, citrusy punch. If you love seafood, the Crab Tostadas ($17) with blue swimmer crab, Mexican chilli mayo, and avocado is a must-try.
Tacos are a must at any Mexican joint, and Super Loco does them right. The Baja Fish Taco ($11), featuring crispy crumbed barramundi, chilli mango salsa, and chipotle mayo, was an absolute delight – fresh, crunchy, and packed with flavour. The Prawn Taco ($13), with cilantro tiger prawns, pomegranate, and bacon achiote mayo, was another standout, while the Chicken Taco ($10) delivered on crunch with its crispy fried chicken and spicy avocado yoghurt.
For something heartier, the Chicken Quesadilla ($18) packed Monterey Jack cheese and roasted chicken into a warm, melty tortilla – comfort food at its finest.
Of course, no meal is complete without some classic sides. The Crispy Potatoes ($10) were golden perfection, tossed in smoked salt and paired with a smoky chipotle mayo. And for the ultimate starter, the Chips & Salsas ($18) is a great sharing plate with guacamole, salsa roja, and spicy piña for dipping.
Beyond the amazing food and drinks, what truly sets Super Loco apart is its warm and welcoming service. The staff are cheerful, energetic, and always happy to assist – one even walked me to the washroom when I had trouble finding it! Whether you’re there for a boozy brunch, a lively dinner, or just a casual catch-up with friends (furry ones included), this vibrant cantina never disappoints.
