"The husband-and-wife chef and waitress team behind one of the city’s most famous food empires has developed a real following over the last few decades. Quintin Larios's roasted chicken is the stuff of dreams and the breakfast (omelets are the way to go) is one of our go-tos. It's a mostly regulars and you'll leave feeling like you've got a few new best friends." - Jennifer M. Wood

This place was pretty awesome! I went with a few friends after getting a recommendation, and we had a great time enjoying the all you can eat buffet. The portions were generous, and the food was spectacular. I would love to see a bit more variety, though maybe sweet plantains, salad, and some similar sides. Other than that, everything was great. I also highly recommend the lemonade!

4 stars – Disappointed by the buffet, but the menu saved the day! We traveled from Miami after seeing an ad on Instagram—but honestly, the buffet was disappointing and not what was advertised. It might work for someone on a tight budget, but I wouldn’t recommend it. That said, we decided to switch to the regular menu and… wow! Everything was delicious. My friends and I left super happy. The waitresses were kind, warm, and very attentive, which made a huge difference. The vibe was great too—even though we went for lunch, you can tell this place must be a lot of fun on weekend nights. Also, the coffee was excellent, and the service was fast. We came for the buffet (which was a letdown), but the rest of the experience totally made up for it. For the price we paid, it was absolutely worth it. We’ll definitely be back! 💯

Super Machi in Miami is a fantastic spot for bold flavors and creative Cuban dishes! Their menu offers a great mix of crispy, saucy, and perfectly seasoned options, with every bite packed with flavor. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients really stands out. We really enjoyed the oxtail stew and ropa vieja! Their dessert was also not to be missed. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a delicious and unique dining experience, check out Super Machi! Instagram - @thesofloduo

Google
First time visiting this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. The place is very nice and clean, the food was delicious, and the service was great. I definitely recommend checking it out, but keep in mind it gets quite busy on weekends. They also have live music performances, which add to the great atmosphere.

Google
Went with a group of about 25 people so we had servers assigned to us making the rounds. We started out with appetizers for everyone buffet style, and then they brought out the whole roasted pig with a flare going off on it. They made a show of cutting it up and putting the meat and the crispy skin on platters for everyone to help themselves. This was accompanied by moros and yucca. And then to top it off, flan for dessert.

Great service , great music.. Stephany, the girls and the boys too were Amazing.! We had an awesome night.. My mom was celebrated in a very special way .

Google
Their chimichuri was really good for all the meats. Also, the mash potatoes and French fries were so good. Even the liquor drink. But I was still hungry after I finished my plate.

Yelp

Yelp
Food was average. Service was great. Dining area is large. We went on a Sunday early afternoon and it was really quiet. Prices are high for quality of food that you get. It does offer live entertainment Thursday to Sunday. Staff took great care of us.

Yelp
Honestly, I had high hopes. Yelp reviews looked great and perhaps what makes my review different is that we were quite a large party and I feel they were overwhelmed in general. It was 23 of us, including 10 kids, on a Sunday afternoon. Reservations were made the day prior, for 2:00 pm, and a piglet was ordered then (day prior). We arrived, there were issues with the seating. After we all sat down, it was a while before we even got water. When we got water, we didn't have menus. Once we got the menus, it took more time to order. We ordered drinks and appetizers. That was ok. Then we proceeded to wait, a while more. We were notified at 5:00 pm the piglet wouldn't be ready until 6:00 pm. Mind you, by this time we've been there quite a long time, hungry even after appetizers, and kids growing rapidly impatient. But we patiently waited one more hour. Piglet eventually arrived, accompanied by moros, yuca and sweet plantains. All sides were yummy but I did not find the meat enjoyable. Too much fat and bones and just not enough meat. Throughout our time service wasn't the best either. My glass constantly ran out of water and not once did they come refill without ME asking them. After 4:00 pm, side of the restaurant is reserved for some type of older singles (or couples, not even sure) event. I thought that was cute, until we had to deal with the extremely loud music for hours and some of us ending up with a headache. And let's not talk about the PRICE. It ended up being almost $900 for our entire party (after adding tip). I'm sorry, but WHAT?! I'll be traumatized by this for a lil while. Anyways, if you're planning to be a small party... perhaps you'll have better luck than us.

Yelp
The food and entertainment here is wonderful and the service is spectacular. It's one of my favorite places to go with the family. Weather is during the week at lunch or a dinner or on the weekend My favorite food is the ox tail and sangria. Plus you must have their cochinillo meal for a group. You will love it. Totally recommend.

Yelp
Waited for dentist appointment and found this place through Yelp. The servers were very nice, the chicken garlic plate with plantains and yucca was very good. Took some croquetas to go as well, would come back here again

Yelp
I was amazed to find this place in a strip mall. From the outside, it didn't impress. But the moment I stepped inside, all changed. The food and the service were impeccable. The sandwiches were stellar, and the chicken and rice were some of the best I've ever had. Don't forget to end or start or both with a Cuban coffee.

Bryan R.

Yelp
Drove 25 minutes because they stated on instagram the lunch buffet was until 5 and turns out it closed at 4.

Yelp
Well we went on a Monday around 5pm and there was about two tables before us and only one server. We didn't get attended to almost 20-30 mins in. And then to get out drink order another while until eventually someone else came to help out. The super Machi combo is a great deal and literally has a little bit of everything tamal, croquetas, fried pork, fried chicken and tostones rellenos. You get a good deal for your buck. The complimentary bread was good and super crunchy. My daughter's kids meal was DELICIOUS. Probably the best meal we had lol. The pina colada my mom had was pretty tasty too. My sister was not at all impressed with the burger. She said the meat didn't taste fresh. My mom got the Gordon bleu and it was over fried and didn't have the white sauce that was suppose to go on it. She was extremely disappointed since we took her there for her birthday. I had their spaniel sandwich with ham and cheese which wasn't bad but the bread was extremely hard to bite into. The service and food could of been better. The desserts were pretty decent we had the flan and crema Catalana. The crema Catalana was cold and was not mixed in correctly but the flan was actually really yummy. I think they need to have more staff available. They have music playing in the background which makes the ambiance pretty enjoyable but they need a little more variety in it.

Yelp
We loved everything we ordered and our server Licet was super nice.I would recommend this restaurant to anybody hoping to have a great experience.

Yelp
Everything sucks. The food, the service, the ambiance. Stay far away if you are looking for a great culinary experience.

Yelp
La fragua is a cuban restaurant and their breakfast menu is just fabulously delicious. I have been coming back to this restaurant for over 5 years now. I have no idea how tf did i 4get to write a review on one of my favorite restaurants in Miami [Sigh]. Anyways back to the review.... You won't believe how much food you can get for under $6. Their customer service is just exceptional and their food is like summer in a bowl. It's just so refreshing to have a their delicious cuban coffee and the classic crispy Cuban food with some scrambled eggs. Ahhh...the first bite of that bread is just mouthwatering. I would strongly recommend to check this place out for your first breakfast in Miami.

Yelp
Great Cuban food (for takeout at least). Get the vaca frita for sure! We ordered via UberEats. Food arrived promptly and was piping hot and super tasty. My son had the kids chicken tenders. It comes with french fries (although it doesn't say that it comes with fries on the app). It was a huge portion, and the fries were really crispy despite being delivered. I had the vaca frita, and it was one of the better ones I've had. Perfectly seasoned and cooked meat, loved the garlic and citrus notes. I had it with the yellow rice and black beans, and they were super tasty, even without hot sauce. I also shared an order of the boiled yuca with my husband. It was as good as my husband's family makes! My husband had the breaded steak, and he thought it was very good. He had the white rice and black beans, and he loved them.

Yelp
Nice service, nice place, food was so so. My son ordered a pan con bisteck and they toasted the bread so much thst it was literally like a cracker. My husband ordered the Snapper fillet with mash potatoes and salad..not good at all. I did order the vaca frita which was ok and it came with 2 sides. The ajico was pretty good. For the money spent I honestly would of gone to Sergio's. I have heard that a night they have a live band and karaoke on Thursdays. Let me know if you go.

Yelp
Our first time here.. food is over priced for what they serve and the menu is plain to say the least. I had the palomilla with white rice and beans. The steak looks cheap, not seasoned, tastes gamy. It feels that they want to be an upscale restaurant but the ambiance and food and not up to par. And on top of that they had an event from a medical center that was loud and took away from the little experience we had here. That room should be private and closed off from the patrons that want to enjoy their food. But the food is not good anyways. It was an experience and I wont be coming back.. the chef should understand the area and come up with a competitive menu since there are hundreds of places where you can choose from. I was going to a Cuban cafeteria but I did not want to drive so I ended up here. They serve better food there.

Yelp
Good Cuban restaurant near the airport. I was trying to make it here for a Cuban breakfast but my dining partner wasn't into waking up before 11am when breakfast service stopped so we settled in for lunch. Our waitress did not speak English so that made ordering somewhat confusing as I only understood half of her words with my unfamiliarity with the Cuban accent and dialect. I saw that they still had egg dishes for lunch so I ordered a Spanish tortilla (egg and potato omelette) given my positive experience with them in Spain. The waitress asked a couple of times how I wanted it prepared but I was confused that there would be more than one way to prepare it so I just said, traditicional. Whatever that meant, I received a tortilla without much seasoning. My dining partner ordered stuffed plaintains and chicken and rice. The portions were ridiculous and she raved about the dishes. We had plenty of leftovers. Oh the cuban coffees were great also.

Yelp
Great food and very attentive service. Slow kitchen. Bitter ending when getting a 3.88% surcharge for using a credit card. It's on the bottom of the menu in really tiny writing. I find it offensive. Credit card fees are a cost of doing business. The cost should be included in the menu prices and not as a bullshit surcharge.

Yelp
Very attentive. Ordered the tapas they were delicious. The service was great. Over all great experience.

Yelp
After writing my previous review, I've dined here a few times after - all within a month. One - to celebrate my hubby's bday and weeks later again. On both occasions, the AC has been broken to the point that's unbearably hot; manager always apologizes & tells the customers that the "AC person" is stopping by to fix the issue. Yesterday, he told me that a "new AC" will be put in...at this point, I don't know what to believe..! Service - Since my last review, the service has been inattentive, blasé and less than average - something as simple as getting water, I've had to flag down a server for it. It doesn't strike me that there's a shortage of staff but I have noticed that on both occasions, the restaurant hasn't been filled with customers either, which tells me that I'm not the only one that has noticed the deterioration of service and/or quality of food. Food - On both occasions, our food has either been cold and/or unseasoned and yesterday's dinner was no exception - Arroz con pollo (Daily special) had to be taken back because it was cold; only to be brought back hotly microwaved. Once food is microwaved, the flavor is non-existent. With this arroz con pollo, the dish was insipid from the go...the boiled & not oven cooked chicken was flavorless & the rice tasted more like the Uncle Bens Rice taken outta the box and cooked. Desserts - Flan with coconut & Rice Pudding - both were watery and unsavory. I guess my bad for thinking that this restaurant was going to be consistently on a league of its own...will be a long time before I give it another try.

Yelp
A hidden gem, a heaven for vaca frita lovers!!!! The bread to start is amazing! The beef vaca frita leaves me wanting more EVERY TIME! And their maduros are soooo good!! Everything is so flavorful and it always leaves me wanting more!
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
Excellent service, real nice waiters. The restaurant was quite empty so we were seated immediately. Food was alright. The steak was wrapped with bacon but the meat itself was quite pink and didn't taste that fresh. The fish filet was decent.
google avatar

Gaby F.

Yelp
It pains me not to give them 5 stars like I did about a year ago but that's what's deserved this time. My to go order had two orders of vaca frita, one with maduros and moros and the other one with tostones and moros. I don't know what happened that day but I felt my food came from a different place. What a disappointment. The moros(rice with beans) were old, they had gone bad due to the beans, the flavor was so off. That rice was not fresh and yummy like some other times. The tostones were not crunchy at all. They reminded me of tostones you fry today and eat tomorrow... stale? Just not good, and so hard to eat, almost gummy. Then the vaca frita was not their best, although still good. Only bad thing about that one is the fact that I found a hair tangled in it. I estimate it will be a while before I visit again. Just remembered: I also ordered a "crema catalana" after placing the order and for some reason was charged about 8 bucks? I did not get the receipt for that one either. Not their best day.

Yelp
Regarding who is running this kitchen, be it Larios family or ex-cooks, nobody really knows. The only thing that I can tell you is that everything is pretty much the same recipes as in Larios, yet the food is not the same... I have debated with 3 stars, I will tell you that much. A combination of cold food, not fresh, overcooked, I don't know, I should really aim for a 2 stars. But I just can't do it. The old Casa Larios was a great place. I would pick up every week from this place, everything on the menu. I used to go for the Chicken Cordon Bleu although my obsession was the Arroz con Pollo. Everything was delicious without being gourmet, just a tad nicer than home food. But La Fragua, I don't know... I have ordered a few things here. Arroz con Pollo is basically the same as Larios, yet not as good. Breakfast has been pretty good, but other offerings have been a bit lacking. Ordering from La Fragua brings a little bit of apprehension: will I get good food today? This definitively is a special place. It's one of those places that you are so attached to, you don't want to accept it's going downhill. I recommend it, but with some hesitation. I do hope you have an excellent meal, and I hope I order when the chef is inspired too. One last thing, bring your Spanish-English dictionary.
google avatar

Cybil F.

Yelp
Ready for an adventure! The only menu is in Spanish. The staff is super helpful. The food is delicious. Not spicy at all great anyone wanting full flavor food!
google avatar

Jorge B.

Yelp
I have to give "La Fragua" a five stars review for many reasons. I went over with some co-workers (approximately 13 of us) That's usually a hassle in any other place. But they accommodated us, had daily specials and everything was great. This place provides Cuban food and we are saturated with that in Miami. However, the experience was painless and I would prefer this over other competitors (especially for large parties) Honestly, the only thing bad which was kind of funny was a typo on the menu for the Malanga Soup. Other than that, you should be able to enjoy the clean, modern establishment and good service they provide in this very populated area. I will definitely come back again. I heard beers are ice cold. Look out for pictures.
google avatar

Marc S.

Yelp
amazing vaca Frita, also good rice and beans and sweet plantains. The cortadito was also nice. Very nice casual Cuban restaurant with lots of good things . Highly recommend if you're in the Hialeah area . Vaca Frita was like the texture of hash browns crispy on the outside marinated beef with lime juice and on ions
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
This place has the best palomilla in Miami. There steak is always cooked perfectly, super juicy and has tons of flavor. I also really love their garbanzo beans and their fries are really good too! If you have a sweet tooth check out for Natilla Catalana you will not regret. It's basically a creme brûlée but is sooo good and definitely enough to share! We can't wait to go back when we have our palomilla craving
google avatar

Josie R.

Yelp
Delicious Cuban Restaurant with excellent customer service. The food takes a little long, but that is because everything is made fresh from scratch. The chef himself brings it to your table. My dad's favorite dish to order is the pork chunks, possibly the best of any Cuban Restaurant in the area. I had the fried Corvina Fish with a side salad and plantains. Everything was so delicious my dad kept on raving about the restaurant as he ate. Needless to say we will be back! A must try!!!
google avatar

Esther M.

Yelp
Service was terrible we had to ask for a waiter after 10 minutes Then the hostess took our order instead of the waiter We started with mariquitas which we had to return They were cold and stale For our entree we asked for breaded steak and also vaca frita It only comes with two sides and rice and beans are considered two where most Cuban restaurants it is considered one side I also asked for a glass of sangria that was good full of fruits The food came and it was ok! Being a Cuban myself I found the food lacked spices and also it was very oily I recommend this restaurant if you want cheap Cuban food(oily)

Yelp
August went for lunch w family arroz con pollo for nine !!! Wow i mean this is arroz con pollo the best wow not too watery not to dry perfect with that yellow color and that latin flavor . The maduros Are awesome sweet and falling apart. Now i have had masas de puerco in many restaurants but if God himself came down from heaven he would feast on this amazing slow cooked perfect juicy and garlic pork flavor from the sauce it releases super pork!! I am serious this is serious Pork the best period wow! Sorry Mom and Grandma its too good. Of course great rice n beans moros and my gosh the Malanga soup is perfect! Good vaca frita also. Yelp
Cuban fix here!!!! This is where great Cuban food is made. After Casa Larios closing for a very long time, the cooks have come back to open this place. Everyday specials have not changed. Vaca Frita special is Thursday and Saturday, but you probably knew that! Everything tastes like a home cooked meal. Comfort food, all of it is great. Seems like they did not change much on the menu from Casa Larios, it looks the same, it probably IS the same. Vaca Frita, Pollo Grille, white rice, beans, maduros (these are the sweetest ones I have ever tried!!!!), Arroz con Leche, ALL good, ALL good.... But no worries, you will know that the food prepared here is made with dedication! Thanks for opening La Fragua!!!
google avatar

Manuel A.

Yelp
The food was excellent, everything we had tasted like it was homemade and the prices are great too. The service was also excellent. They were all super attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!!!!

Yelp
In my opinion there isn't anything remarkable about "Cuban food". It's pretty basic and there's a Cuban restaurant on every single corner. What makes a Cuban restaurant stand out from the rest are the small details that are usually forgotten. This restaurant looks fairly new and the layout is very open and bright. The customer service was excellent! It really surprised me how attentive everyone was and how friendly too! The food was good! It was hot, plentiful and affordable! Everything Latin food should be! The desserts were also good. I would definitely return!

Yeney R.

Yelp
La comida es divina, un servicio de pura calidad y un menu super variado para todos los gustos. Además de una limpieza y un clima impecable. Lo recomiendo al 100 por ciento.

Yelp
Excellent place for a family or friend reunion or just go in out for dinner. Food was good but the best was the staff, Raciel was a very Proffesional server. He has something hard to find: vocation. He enjoys doing his job and he has experience and good manners. He is a real asset for this food joint, I feel respect for for his display of knowledge and professionalism. "El cochinillo" was remarkable not only for the taste but you feel like you are in Luao in Hawaii. The arroz con leche was very good and the flan. Wine selection excellent. Music and the ambiance were perfect to enjoy the night. I was very satisfied and impressed. I honestly enjoy my reunion and I had never enjoy giving a good tip like today. I felt it was deserved.

Yelp
Location was so easy to find. Service was super friendly and on point. It was our first time trying Cuban food. The ambiance was very family oriented. Food was all so delicious. The perfect ending to our family vacation.
google avatar

Yelp
I went in sat at the bar and ordered exactly what yelpers say to be the best vaca frita!! The server was quick to come over and give me a menu which is great. The vaca Frita comes a lot softer than others but it had excellent flavor to it. I finished it up with their famous Arroz con leche, it was very delicious, creamy, thick but also very small about the size of my fist :( Only thing I can find wrong with the place is that it's not closer to home and it's a little bit on the pricier side for Cuban food bill ended up being $19. Pros: Very delicious Good service Lots of parking Clean restaurant and bathrooms Cons: Add a tv at the bar lol Pricier
google avatar

Adal D.

Yelp
A Cuban food "conocedor"will know immediately that she or he has arrived at the perfect place. It does not get any more authentic than this. Miami used to house lots of small mom and pop restaurants which food tasted as if grandma Conchita had cooked. They started disappearing as the owners got old and today, the authencity is almost gone, except for this place and a very few others I can count with one hand. But enough of the history, the best Arroz con Pollo in town, the Vaca Frita is to die for, and I can go on about every dish. You must try anything in the menu and you will know what I am talking about. On Saturday nights, one of the Son Tradicional Cubano groups that played at Lario's on the beach, is playing here. This place is 100% real Cuban and no one can tell you different. Buen provecho!
google avatar

Angel J.

Yelp
I went with my family today, and we had a good time. Service was great. Food was good as well. But nothing special I would say. If you like Cuban food and just want to try a new Cuban restaurant. I would recommend to someone. But nothing special I would say.
google avatar

Katherine M.

Yelp
Not vegetarian friendly. Went with my family, they had mixed opinions of the food. I don't eat meat though and they had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me. Not even steamed veggies??? I ate a sad salad with vinegar.... a side of potatoes that were so oily, I got a terrible stomach ache. They tasted good but I think all of that oil was unnecessary. Staff was good. Service was good.
google avatar

Barbara T.

Yelp
We were getting really hungry while driving into Miami when I found this restaurant on Yelp with some great reviews. So glad we found it! We ordered one of the Saturday specials, churrasco, which is a skirt steak that is so flavorful and comes with chimichurri sauce full of cilantro, tangy and tart. The meal came with yellow rice and black beans for around $16--So good! Also ordered the arroz con pollo which was a full breast of chicken with a leg surrounded by large (huge) portion of seasoned yellow rice and sautéed tasty pepper strips. Plus came with a side of plantains. Lots of food for $8.00! It appears that this place is very popular with the local Cuban community and I can understand why. I'm so glad we happened upon it!

Yelp
I've been looking for an authetic Cuban restaurant for some time that compares to my favorite which is way too far and often overly crowded. I've had to settle for places like La Carreta which is a joke. I on a whim decided to order from this restaurant on ubereats and man, I am super impressed and that doesn't happen lightly nor am I someone that ever writes reviews. The portions are huge, one meal basically will be 2 meals for me. I got the vaca frita, Moro, yuca and plantains and everything was so delicious and reminded me so much of my moms cooking. I got my super picky 4 year old the children's meal which is chicken nuggets and fries and to my surprise ( these aren't your typical fake chicken nuggets but small juicy tenders). My child is loving his fries too! Even tho, I had to wait on my delivery and you'd think the food wouldn't be as delicious ; you are wrong. I will be coming here from now for all of my Cuban food needs. Super delicious and great prices too!!

Yelp
I have been coming here for years. Since back when it was called Casa Larios and I can honestly say this is my all time favorite restaurant.
google avatar

Angel A.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday night 7:30. The music is so loud you can't speak or hear anyone at your table. Great music but way to loud for a restaurant! Service was friendly but very slow. Food was good not great but as I write this my head ache is growing!

Ludwig F.

Yelp
Ordered a churrasco. Cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious!! The soup was also delicious.

Yelp
This was my first experience with Cuban cuisine, and I'm pretty impressed. My sister had the Cuban sandwich and was not impressed, she compared it to subway. Ouch. The fresh juices and delicious, I highly recommend the orange juice. I had the Cafe con leche and it was delicious, just what I needed after my flight to Miami. I had plate with platanos, chicharron, arroz and frijoles. Wow, so good! I was so sad when it was all gone. We also had both the regular flan and the flan de queso. Both delicious. The flan de queso was amazing and I'm considering getting another uber just for that flan! The decor was interesting, it was really built like you were in someone's home. I've never seen that before and I really liked it. Only down fall is how unfriendly our server was. He was pretty rude, not very friendly and half way through our meal he just disappeared. Someone else had to get our bill. We waited an extra 30 minutes just to leave. If I'm in Miami again, I probably won't return. There's plenty of Cuban restaurants here and probably one with better customer service. Better service would have gotten a good 5 stars.

Yelp
After a year or so of gastronomical depression, the Larios family has opened a restaurant again. They also went back to their roots and opened in the original spot we discovered them in and we couldn't be happier! The quality of the food and service is spectacular! The flavor is like no other and it's like eating at home with family. We rolled out of there like beach balls and plan to go back until we eat everything we've missed over the past year after Larios closed. Come and enjoy!!

Yelp
Delicious and freshly prepared Cuban food. The Vaca Frita Thursday special can't be beat! Come here for a good Cuban meal, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
We've visited La Fragua six times, and each time we've had a wonderful experience. The food is delicious. The service is exceptional. The atmosphere is lovely. This is our new go-to Cuban restaurant. Definitely put this one on your list.

Yelp
This place used to be great. One of my favorites. Tonight it was a terrible disappointment. All four of us ordered the baby churrasco; 2 medium rare, 1 medium, 1 well done. None of us were happy. The tiny and extremely thin pieces of meat had no resemblance to any churrasco we'd ever seen. We spoke up and our waiter realized that it all looked very meager and asked a manager to come see us. The manager insisted that it was churrasco meat. They did comp one of the meals and two espressos. But I'm not sure we will ever go back again. Did the ownership change? What a let down.
