Super Norma delivers delicious, comforting food with bold Italian flavours. The vibe is casual, and the quality is consistently high. Great place to relax and enjoy a hearty meal. Top picks: Garlic Bread, Fresco Pasta, Super Norma pasta dishes. Friendly service and great portions make this a solid neighbourhood favourite.

Hospitality does not exist here. Do not expect to be acknowledged or greeted when you enter, even if the venue is quiet. Do not expect good service when you order. They have tried to fit as many seats as possible so only go if you don't mind being cheek by jowl. I love mortadella and cannoli but the mortadella cannoli was gross. The focaccia is smothered in oil. The 'negroni' was a campari soda with ice and without orange. The pasta was served in a takeaway box hahahahaha... consider serving on plates or in bowls with metal cutlery. The pasta was decent but so what? There is nothing else to recommend this place. Perhaps they could consider contacting Andrew McConnell to learn about hospitality. EDIT 02/01/2026: wow I must have touched a nerve - five 5-star reviews followed mine the very same day, New Year's Day no less. You had three reviews for December total! I accept my experience with Super Norma was not the same as all but my experience was not exceptional. Perhaps this new year you could resolve to extend your gracious hospitality to all comers?

This place has a warm and welcoming feeling, like being greeted by your second family! All the staff working there are smiling and attentive. Marco and Luca, the duo who run the restaurant are friendly, polite and are always fast in preparing my order! I tried the special recently but I usually order the number 6! As a regular customer, I’m always satisfied by the delicious and authentic pastas. Always a pleasure!

This underrated gem is the closest thing to a casual dining pasta experience I've had in Melbourne since returning from Napoli. The owners are charismatic and attentive on arrival. Friday nights is a bit of a vibe with the tunes and people coming and going for an 'nduja and gamberetti pasta. The drinks are super affordable, portion sizes of pasta are accurate and cooked al dente.

Absolutely loved this place! The vibes were spot on-casual, warm, and buzzing. The pasta was next-level delicious- fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. You can tell they care about the food and the experience. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to come back to again and again. A hidden gem!

This quaint little pasta shop serves the best pasta in town. There aren’t any unnecessary fancy bells and whistles- it’s just good ol’ pasta with a selection of toppings for it. I always think these simple types of menus lead to great quality food because they can focus on perfecting the dishes. The nduja is my favourite and it is bursting with umami flavour, rich and creamy. I always get a side of garlic bread as well because they make it simple and to perfection. There is nothing to criticise about this place. Every menu item is fantastic

Great little pasta joint! Great atmosphere, good pasta, like a little eatery from Italy with love! -Pasta vognole was surprisingly delicious, my favourite so far! 9/10 -Pasta puttanesca 8/10 -Burro Cacio e Pepe 8.5/10 (I do wish it was just a classic Cacio e Pepe but I respect they preface the dish is with butter) -Pasta a la Norma 7/10 (pasta was not a dente unfortunately and could have done with more aubergine or something!) great place to go with a Small group of friends (it’s tiny and loud, in a good way but not a practical way)
