Superbude Hotel Hamburg St. Pauli

The hotel is in an old building, inside it looks better than from the outside. Friendly staff! Its more a hostel than a hotel. At breakfast lots of young families with kids. So busy people have to wait to find a table. And a lot of noise of course. Bread is not really fresh? Eggs, only boiled. Coffee from a machine. For 16 euro. Not for us. Cleaning of the room only every other day. Cleaning is too big of a word. They left the old towels were they were. They rearranged the beds a bit (no fresh sheets, again its a hostel, not a hotel). The location is perfect, the price also. Bathroom is big and nice shower. Our room was on the attic.

Lovely hotel in Sternschanze with great location and cozy atmosphere. The staff is nice and helpful. Bring your own pillow if possible.

4 people room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The design was really cool as well. Staff was friendly, nice, and spoke English. We enjoyed playing games in the room too! Definitely would love to stay there again!

Came here with my partner to stay on our way home from Munich to Copenhagen and it exceeded all expectations! From the moment we came in and was greeted by Poul in reception to the evening drinks with Deniz behind the bar and all the way to being allowed early breakfast due to illness by Haji ( may be spelled wrong - nightshift on the 19/20th) THANK YOU! - and also thanks to the wonderful women in the kitchen!! Breakfast was ace ☀️||||They were all a huge part of our wonderful stay and really deserve an extra thanks! Their kindness and great humor was more than you could ask for. ||||Thank you ❤️||We will be back to visit again, and this time for a planned longer stay! ||||Best, ||Scott and Mia ❤️

Horrible hotel. At check in they demand email and say it is required by law. Totally dishonest by the people working here. The women working at check in were rude. I told them I do not have an email. They insisted on giving them an email, so I made one up. They treat me like a criminal. This is an EU country and the law GDPR applies to this business. Customers are not required to give an email.

The location is perfect! Full of alternatve bars and café! The hotel was most Alternative one that was ever! Super freundly employee! The breakfast was very healthy with good quality! At most, i likethat each room had Nitendo devic inside to play those nostalogic games! :)

A great place between a hostel and hotel, but where you won't feel out of place travelling as a family. So nice when the family groups mingle with the groups of younger people over breakfast. An unpretentious place that LOOKS pretentious but has that perfect grip on coolness and service at the same time. Not many places I'd travel to as a family AND recommend my teenager travel to on their own! It's in a great location, just on the edge of St Pauli but just close enough to Schanze for you to make the most of these two great bits of town. We had the Levis 501 suite which was a fun room, and situated in a lovely, quiet part of the hotel on the top floor - we made the most of the en-suite SNES! Great staff on reception who had answers for everything and a great (if not a tad expensive) breakfast. Definitely coming back here and recommending it to everyone.

We made an error while booking and the staff was super patient and accommodating in helping us fix the issue. Rooms were great, lobby was comfortable, location was perfect. Great breakfast as well (costs extra).

Great breakfast! Very nice place for grabbing a coffee as well as doing some writing or reading on your laptop (Superbude has declared its stylish kitchen lounge as an official coworking space). I'm here sometimes with colleagues and friends.

I stayed here for four nights for work. I really enjoyed it! It's a very cool and laid back hotel that caters to all types of people - from families to worker bees like me, to couples and groups of friends. I worked a lot while there, so I used the lobby and dining area as my office. Wifi is fast and reliable. They play good music downstairs, so I enjoyed working down there more than in my room. The rooms are okay sized and nice for one or two people. I was on the fourth floor and had a nice view of the "Hamburg needle." The only disappointment is that the TV's only play German shows with no subtitles. So it's entertaining the first night...but not so enjoyable the rest of the trip. The showers are nice, good power, and the entire property was extremely clean. Staff was nice. They have a 24 hour bar where you can get alcoholic beverages (beer/wine/booze), sodas, waters and juices. They also have some snacks (fruit, bars, microwavable food) if needed. The neighborhood has good budget dining options and is the hotel is a few blocks from the U-Bahn. I really liked the Superbude. I was told this one is in a better neighborhood than the others, which is important for me as a single woman traveling alone.

Confusing AF. For a place that has lots of details it feels like they kinda fail to pay attention to them. There are condoms and tampons in the rooms, but no water glasses. Nothing makes having sweet hipster love better than holding your lady's hair after while she drinks from the sink. The breakfast buffet looks great on paper until you realize it's all a bit old and you're gonna get older before the toastie or waffle machine actually produce some half decent questionably dry products. If you've been on a gap year run and feel like splurging you're gonna love this. But for the short money I think maybe you can do a bit better. Superbude? Average booty at best.
