A trendy hipster hotel with unusual furniture in the rooms and funny drawings on the walls. Drum machines and distorting mirrors in the elevators. In the lobby: an astronaut's outfit, green synthetic leather furniture from the 1970s, and a collection of televisions and electric razors from the same decade. All of this is very nice, but it's not enough to mask the shortcomings of this facility's primary function: a hotel. And here, on the other hand, it's much less enjoyable, with many drawbacks... I'll only mention the ones that are deal breakers:
1. The hotel is located 50 meters from the Prater and its funfair, and especially from two open-air nightclubs. You're guaranteed not to be able to sleep for a good part of the night.
2. Horrible bedding. I don't remember sleeping so badly in a hotel before, feeling like I'd been broken in two when I woke up. The bedding is clearly of very poor quality for a hotel.
3. Questionable hygiene: This is the first time I've seen a hotel bed without a mattress protector. The sheet is simply placed on the mattress, the cover of which should never be cleaned (stained).
4. Non-existent service: Rooms are only made up upon request, there's no way to contact reception from the rooms, and you have to call from your phone, and they never answer...
In short, a very bad experience. I was fooled by the good reviews from people who certainly care more about the unusual atmosphere than the quality and comfort of their stay. Don't make the same mistake I did: have a great stay in Vienna by not staying at this hotel.
