It’s disappointing to share my experience, as I had high hopes based on its reputation. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired, and it was hard to ignore the stark difference in how we were treated compared to other guests.
From the start, it seemed as though our table wasn’t a priority. We waited an unusually long time to be acknowledged about a request we made, while other guests—particularly international, white-looking patrons—were greeted warmly and promptly.
This trend continued throughout our visit, as their tables received more attentive service and quicker responses to their requests.
Our first server appeared indifferent, barely engaging with us and often ignoring our request. Wen we asked for the 3rd time he was rude about it. Meanwhile, other tables seemed to enjoy personalized service, smiles, and detailed menu explanations. It gave the impression that national tourism, or perhaps people who didn’t fit their “preferred” guest profile, wasn’t valued as much.
It’s deeply saddening to feel overlooked and unwelcome in a space that should celebrate hospitality. National tourism is just as important as international, and everyone deserves to feel respected and appreciated. I hope the restaurant reflects on this and works toward creating an inclusive and equitable experience for all their guests. Until then, I cannot recommend this establishment.
