Sur Hotel Malaga

Things did not bode well for our stay at check in where there was only one staff member behind the desk and a crowd of people looking to check in. The rooms are fairly basic and ours faced the pedestrian street so it was quite noisy at night. I think the shower cubicle was possibly the smallest I'd ever seen. There is A/C & the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also fine & the location is excellent.

Booked Sur Hotel for two reasons, Location and on site parking. On site parking is notoriously hard to find in Malaga, Hotel Sur offered a secure parking space on the ground floor of the building (steps from reception) for €15 per night booking a space in advance. The room was large, modern and spotlessly clean. It had an interior view so therefore no noise. The corridors are loud though, some late night revellers returning woke us up. We didn't eat at the hotel but breakfast was found at Elite cafe around the corner (great value), also, don't miss the tapas at La Cordobesa, also nearby. Overall Hotel Sur offered good value for money with the parking and location being a real draw. It was expensive for the one night but probably due to the UK school holidays starting and demand for accommodation in Malaga.

Lovely rooms, clean, plenty of space. Fabulous choice at breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely return in the future.

Excellent location, in the centre of Malaga! Rooms are clean and have all the amenities needed for a short trip. Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay, but there are several places on the street that have lovely breakfast options!

Me and my husband were here for our honey moon.🍯🌙 Everything was amazing. The staff were so polite, smiling and we got everything we needed. The breakfast was also great, simple and very fresh. The location of the hotel was the best. You can go everywhere from here by walk. Rooms are simple and clean. If someday we are coming back, this will be our pick again. ❤️

Hotel is poorly managed. Staff is awfully unpolite. They oblige to provide your credit card in an email without safety standards. It is dirty and really ugly decorated. I looks like a low-level hostel. Better going to a hostel for this rate.

Excellent place to stay. Rooms spotless. Breakfast is self service and v good. Lovely accommodating staff. Will definitely use this hotel again. Prices also v g.

What a horrible experience! We should stay in this hotel but my fried got very ill so we had to cancel our trip. Since it was a last minute and we understand the cancellation policy we did not asked money back but rather requested new dates since we would still come. We requested the dates change. No response. I sent them a message. Suddenly it was declined, no answer no explanation nothing. That was rude. We tried to call, no answer. Maybe they are full for requested date? I asked about it in the messages and got very unprofessional response about cancelation policy and no possibility to change without additional cost. I accept additional cost via booking while requesting but maybe they want to ask if the additional cost is okay and rebook it not to throw us to the bin? My friend also sent an email about it but we met only ignorance and very poor customer service - if we can call it like this. I am actually happy we could not stay here because in case of any issue we won't be able to get any help for sure and we are not willing to face any of their staff and be treat like this. Whenever we manage to go Malaga we will stay from this hotel far far away!
