Surf City Motel

The owner was friendly and the room clean and pleasant. No problem there. But the heater didn't work effectively and we all huddled in one bed with extra blankets to try to stay warm. Unfortunately the coldest hotel night I've ever experienced! Not for winter this place ... but probably cool in summer!

Great location, close to beach and restaurants. Has so much potential. Needed to air the room because when we entered there was an overpowering smell of bleach. Need to update bedding, pillows were flat and hard and needed dusting so badly. One cup for a room that sleeps 2 isn’t good enough either.

Needed somewhere quickly and this place had vacancies. Room was clean and had everything you expect in a hotel room; comfy bed, en suite, fridge, tea-making facilities. Some of the other reviews are a bit mean. For a 3* place this motel is absolutely fine! Owner was friendly and check-in was smooth as. Other details: motel has an outdoor pool and restaurant with the beach just 50m away.

Very nice place to stay. Very peaceful with the ocean noise in the background. Excellent service. Love it here. Will be coming back with children next visit very soon. Thank you guys. Awesome.

Stayed here, it was quite nice. A 3-star hotel right across the road from the beach, in amongst the shops. We also had a spa in our room. Definitely a great place to stay for a trip in Torquay

Clean, comfortable, friendly accommodation at a great price in a great location. Good food too and deals on drinks. Highly recommended! Would come again anytime.

We will never stay there again. The bed was old and uncomfortable. The doors needed to be re-hung. The toilet seat was cracked. The staff was unhappy. It was dated and uninviting.
