Surf in Comporta

The Best! Ana was amazing and so helpful and getting us all set up. We had to as to change out time last minute and she was so accommodating. Luis, our instructor was incredible. Such a good teacher and had us flying on waves even though one of us had not surfed before! It’s incredible for beginners. Such a beautiful beach. I can’t wait to go back.

We had an amazing experience with Surf in Comporta! The surf lessons were fantastic – great instructors for both adults and kids. So caring, well-prepared, and made us feel completely safe in the water. Everything was super well organized. We’re already looking forward to our next time. Highly recommended!

All around great experience! They were very friendly and made an effort to accommodate us last minute. Family friendly program run by a very nice local couple. Great teachers who are extra encouraging (Daniel and Ricardo are awesome!). The surf lessons are located at the most beautiful beach in Comporta (we even saw dolphins during both our lessons). Highly recommend the experience. Can’t miss activity if you’re in the area.

We had an amazing experience with Surf in Comporta. I had to suggest a work team building activity and could not have picked a better option/team than Surf in Comporta. My colleagues loved the experience provided by the instructors Daniel, Ricardo and Goncalo (they were funny, encouraging, knowledgeable and always ensuring everyone's safety) as well as the sights and beauty of Carvalhal beach. It was a calm end-of-summer day so SIC team told us that we had to wait for the tide change to get some waves which meant lesson at 6:30pm. It was fantastic to see the sunset while in the water. Prices were extremely fair at 50€/person with all equipment included. Highly recommend. Keep up the good work SIC team.

One of our most amazing experiences in Portugal!!! It was the my (and my daughter’s - 8 and 10yo) first time surfing and we all had a blast and got up on the board! The beach was perfect for beginners and not too crowded and the instructors are INCREDIBLE! They are so warm and encouraging and made us feel at ease. Surf In Comporta is an independent, family run company with passionate instructors. Our family travels a lot and this is one of the best run experiences we have participated in. The whole experience is bespoke and doesn’t feel too touristy. Highly recommend! Just book it (even if you’re not that athletic, like me!)

Daniel was warm, hospitable and passionate about the history of Portugal! The paddle boarding was approachable and not nearly as hard as I thought. It’s worth going just to listen to Daniel’s stories!

Amazing introduction to surfing thanks to Tomas who was extremely patient, very clear to explain everything and helps you individually in the sea to improve. Beautiful beach and our favourite activity of the holiday. Very peaceful on an October morning. Don’t worry, the full length wetsuits mean it’s not as cold as you’d expect! So good I did it on two consecutive mornings.
