The burgers were just great. Juicy and tasty meat and building your own burger is a really good way how to get your preferred style. Had the chicken and two sets of beef burgers which all were delicious. Easy order process and fast serving. Outside dining area is a bit tight when it's crowded but still relaxing and nice to sit. It is a bit pricey considering it's a burger place but I'd say it's one of the best burgers I've had.

Overall a pleasant dining experience. This burger place is near Malmö Central station. We were hungry so we thought a burger will suffice but boy we were amazed on how their burgers were so juicy, tasty and delicious. We got the Kahuna burger, semi burger and cheesy fries. All of them had satisfied our expectations and what made this even more special was their staff working there on the day of April 10, 2025 at 2:15pm. The young gentleman there was very polite, friendly and customer service oriented. They also served our orders efficiently that is, less wait times. I’m so happy we’ve found this place and we highly recommend!!!

The “Build Your Own” mini burger was average. I liked the flavor of the peppers and onions in the Philly Cheesesteak, but I wasn’t a fan of the meat. As for the kids’ meals, the nuggets were just okay, and the kids couldn’t eat the burger.

Really big amount of meet in the burger but the taste though wasn’t that much but the staff was very nice and friendly

This pizza is simply amazing! The dough, tomatoes, and all the ingredients taste incredibly organic and fresh. The outdoor seating is very pleasant, and the staff are friendly. I highly recommend it!

Burgers were burnt, as were the buns. And 65 kroner for garlic fries, are you high?! Place used to be nice, with young people working there, nice decorations and skate videos. Now the staff is, shall we say, lacking in diversity. Made sure the guy preparing the food at least was wearing gloves. Had a delivery guy step in front of me while I was ordering and the girl working decided to help him instead, maybe they were from the same town.

Nice selection of hamburgers and sides in a relaxed atmosphere with a bit of American vibes. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The burgers are very tasty and all burgers are also available as vegan burgers and with gluten free buns. The service was good and quick.

Excellent burger and milk shakes in a place that you normally cant get such food. The place is a bit small but the staff are all super friendly.

a good "build your own" burger spot in malmö! i like how surf shack allows you to customize your burger and they have more unique toppings than the usual burger spot. you can choose 3 sauces, 8 vegetables, and other premium toppings and sides. i got the hamburger with: - mini hamburger - sauces: roasted aoli, chipotle mayo - cheddar cheese - vegetables: crisp salad, grilled onions, pickled onions, tomato, and grilled onions. the "mini hamburger" is slightly smaller than a normal burger but was enough for me, or someone if you order fries. if you are hungry though, maybe get the larger patty. they give a small amount of each topping so the burger is not overflowing, which also adds a nice balance for taste. i also thought the taste of the beef patty was actually really good, much better than max or b*st*rd burgers in town. i would come back to try their fish or their burgers during their lunch special!

I returned to try the Crispy Chicken Burger based on a recommendation. Dare I say this sandwich was just as good as the burger. I ordered it "all in" & added Bacon & Cheddar. Buttermilk coating was crispy & the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly! I also tried the onion rings & they were tasty!

Pretty dang good burgers, fries, and shakes! Be aware- tonsss of condiments on the burger, that was our only complaint :)

Great hamburgers! Great service and awesome location. We were visiting Malmo Sweden and just wanted to sit outside and people watch and it was the perfect place

Solid burger and the service was outstanding. Three different burgers and they were all delicious. Loved the outside seating area. Plenty of shade.

Two words: Garlic Fries!!! I've been here once, and I will go back! I had: Burger with added pineapple and cheddar, garlic fries. Taste: Great! Especially the garlic fries, but the burger was nicely made and had a nice flavour to it. Concept: Spot on! Malmö needs this gem, and everything from the menu to the interior is just, well, spot on. Service: Great. We went there early for lunch before the massive crowd got there, and the staff was very helpful. It's a great concept, as said before, but it's a lot to get a hang of before ordering, and one of the older men working there talked us through the whole thing, even if we were 6 people. What brings it from 5 stars to 4 is that it's a small place, and it gets crowded FAST. You need to be there well before 12 for lunch, and it's kind of loud when it's filled. Which doesn't always please me, but hey, the food's worth it!

If you're into burgers (even if you're vegetarian or gluten intolerant) this is a must do in malmö. The service is very quick AND the food is very good. You can decide whatever you want in your burger (a lot of the ingredients are included in the price). The mini burger is actually pretty big (so I would recommend this one). The only difference with the regular one is that you only have one meat instead of two. But this restaurant is maybe a little victim of its success because it's really crowded. So don't go there if you're looking for intimacy in a quiet restaurant ;)

Great little American lunch spot in Malmo. The staff was very friendly when we walked in and gave us a menu in English after we struggled reading the one in front of us. At this location you can build your own burger (chicken, beef, etc.) with toppings from a long list to cater to your craving. I got a chicken burger with BBQ sauce, American cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce, and pineapple - it also came with Mayo on it, so be careful to say no Mayo if you don't like it! They have slushies here if you like those too. There were bathrooms at this location for customers.

Great value and great burgers! We asked for our friend's recommendation when we went over to Malmö for a day trip. We got here quite early as lucky because it was already packed. It's a grab a seat and order at the bar kind of affair so be friendly and learn to share a table! The burgers were great and great value. And definitely go for the garlic fries - they're delicious! They also have alcoholic milkshakes...!

I'm from California and this was the best burger outside of the US that I've had. Great service, fantastic food. I'll be back!

This location is small and perfect for a date night or hanging out with friends for a more family friendly atmosphere I recommend the other surf shack in Malmö. The name of the restaurant does not disappoint. The interior is very laid back and feels like you could be in a surf shack somewhere warm. The staff is wonderful and service minded. Amazing juicy burgers.

Recently moved to Malmo and decided I needed a burger. With 5 Guys and Shake Shack nowhere in sight, we found Surf Shack. 2 adults and a kid that eats like an adult, we ordered and got our food quickly which made me a little suspicious but it was actually ok. My burger was over cooked and there seemed to be more toppings than meat but I sampled the others' and it was pretty good. We also got a boozy milkshake, my boyfriend has never had one (WTF is going on in France?) which wasn't bad. I'd recommend the chicken burger and regular fries, the garlic ones are meh compared to what I've had in other places... which is weird because it's just garlic & fries, but it is what it is. All in all it was a nice place. Didn't have to wait too long for a seat on a Saturday afternoon. Once I get used to the price of eating out in Swede I think I will return.

This is a solid place. I'm not an expert in burgers in Malmö, so there *might* be a better place somewhere but I don't know what I could complain about. Well located, nice decoration, not part of a chain, clear and simple menu (you compose your own burger), quality ingredients, cool staff and served quickly. OFF COURSE IT IS FINGER IDONTGIVAFUCK LICKING GOOD! Their *home made* garlic french fries are a dream. Really!

Tasty food, good prices, and friendly service! The burger was moist and delicious. However, the garlic fries were outstanding. I wanted to try the spiked up shakes (ice cream partnered with certain alcoholic beverages) but I was much too full. I'd eat here again.

It's a Burger Joint!!! Burger King move over, there's a new king in town! The burgers are excellent and the staff are helpful and attentive. There's no glamorous lit menu like burger king, but rather a rustic coziness which I found appealing. Pity there weren't enough seats indoors, else I'd have rated 5 stars for a burger joint. The quality of the burgers is superb with a wide variety of toppings reasonably priced. There are also side options like popcorn chicken, salad, and fries.

Amazing burgers found in the Scandinavian Peninsula! This hidden gem that is only known by the locals. The burgers are succulent and the boozy milkshakes are strong enough to give you a buzz. I never expected to find such good burgers so far away from the United States. If I ever find myself again in Malmo, I will definitely will be coming back to this place again! Highly recommended

Upon walking into this place, you feel as if you could be at a a very hip burger shack in Florida or California. The decor brings an airy, beachy feel that transports you from Malmö for a moment. They have a good system set up where you order at the counter and pay, receive a buzzer that will notify when your food is ready and then you can grab a seat. The staff there is friendly and works fast. Between our table we tried the cranberry salad (super fresh, many flavors, highly enjoyable), the chicken fingers (handmade, quality meat with a great crunchy breading an a variety of yummy dipping sauces) and a surf burger with garlic fries (the burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were melt in your mouth good). It is refreshing to see a place like this take a chance in Sweden. Support this local business that uses produce and meat from local farmers!

Had lunch here today based on Yelp reviews and was amazingly suprised. This is the best burger I have had east of the Atlantic! Not only that, their fries was the best I've ever had, anywhere! Do not miss this if you are in Malmö and like burgers.

I thought this was going to be a good burger place due to some good reviews but it all ended up as a bg dissapointment. Not worth the price, even Max is better for burger meat. The bread was good, also the fries but the meat was not that good. Go somewhere else and have your Malmö burger.

The environment of is this restaurant seduced me and my friend to go in and try it. The burger is tasty and the meat is juicy. Totally recommended.

A place with australian workers (and owners?). Really nice burgers! Absolutely superb, and their garlic fries is to die for! And they also got a nice collection of beers to pour their delicious burgers down, really nice place if you want a good burger!

Great place and burgers. It is always crowded but the service is fast and never have to wait to long to get your food. During hot days it can get warm inside so they need to get some AC or better ventilation.

Very good burger, but 3 stars because i remember one time i had it as a take away and i was surprised when i found out that the burger bread was replaced by the one you buy from the supermarket, you know the dry one with sesame on top .. .. So make sure and check your burger before you leave..

Went in to surf shack while visiting Malmö and it was an overall very good experience. I got the surf burger and it was absolutely huge! I'd say the smaller choice would have been sufficient. The flavor was great and I have no negatives to say about the food. The burgers came out quickly too. I got the garlic fries, which were good, but I would get the regular fries in the future. The sauces were slightly pricy but they were also very tasty! Coming from an American who lives in a SoCal beach city, these are some good burgers that I would expect from home!

Burgers are kind of good and the prices are " correct ". However the team isn't that nice and they're in their world. Well the next time, if I'm very hungry and in front of the restaurant, I'd come back otherwise no.

As an American living in Sweden, I am very reluctant to call burgers great, but these ARE!! This place is like a 5 Guys but better (and of course much more expensive, I mean we are in Sweden after all and eating out is expensive compared to the US). Anyway, need a good burger, have a hangover or just in the area - definitely go to Surf Shack! Amazing. AND they deliver!!!

Their chicken burger must be one of the best chicken burgers I have had. Super delicious! Also they make really good fries (both regular and garlic fries). Although the meat on their regular burger was well seasoned it wasn't so good, it was a bit dry and the burger itself was a bit of a letdown. I would definitely recommend having the chicken burger instead of the beef burger.

What a gem. Surf shack's vibe is right outta SoCal or is it New Zealand? Which ever, its a unique & tasty treat with great presentation & a full house. Extremely reasonable prices i heard a few say it was the best chicken sandwich they've ever had. & Real ketchup!

So good! Burgers are great, service was good and food came out fast. Malmö loves there burgers but this place is the best. And try the garlic fries!

Ahh, what can I say? I don't usually go to a burger joint in the US, but I had to check this place out for the namesake! I took a train from CPH to Malmo and saw that this place was very close to the train station, so I had to make my way there. It was easy to spot as there were two surfboards with menus outside of the door. I walked in, and an older gentleman was chatting with his staff. They looked like they just opened. I ordered their 'Cowgirl Salad with Miso Vinaigrette.' Unlike what the name suggests, there is NO meat. (I'm pescatarian) Again, the portion was huge, and it was SO yummy with the mix of different greens, feta cheese, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, black beans. I sat in front of a TV which a surf movie was playing featuring the usual crew, (Rob Machado, Kelly Slater, Malloy brothers, and more) It showed Cardiff-by-the-Sea in N. County San Diego where I used to live so it was a treat, yet very strange watching this in Malmo, Sweden!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were over from Ireland and unfortunately have very little Swedish, but the restaurant staff were great. The food was fast, fresh and delicious - would certainly recommend.

Best burger in Malmö so far. Everything really good. I gave it a 5 star rating because it smokes the competition, but it still lacks that little something that makes a burger magical. Highly recommend!
