This seemed like a really fun place, with a wonderful atmosphere and live music. I was going to have a glass and order dinner, but even though there was several open tables, I was told, rather abruptly, that I would have to ask for seating, so I went to the front and waited in a loose line. When it came my turn to ask for seating, the girl bartender in front dismissed me and helped someone else even though she knew that I was next, maybe she doesn't like foreigners, who knows. When she finally acknowledged me, I was told that I couldn't have a table, as I wanted, and that I would have to sit on a bar stool with a narrow counter, against the window. She was rude and dismissive and she wasn't the only one of the staff that I interacted with, that was like that. It wasn't as much, what they said, but how they said it, so much for customer service. Maybe they should put a sign outside saying no foreigners or we prefer groups, not single customers. That's fine, Livorno only has about a thousand other resteraunts who do serve single customers and have great customer service. I had one drink and left without ordering dinner. I won't be going back there again and I wouldn't recommend it either. Quality service is a cornerstone of any good dining experience and they didn't have it, not at all, and the rudeness just confirmed my conclusions.
