Surfers Bay

Went twice. The first time sat outside with a lit bonfire, listening to a band and eating curry. Inside the next with a veggie burger. Unfortunately, I forgot the photo for the burger, but both were delicious. It was right next to the beach. Relaxing listening to the waves.

Surfers Bay is the perfect beachside escape, an open-air paradise where live music, ocean breezes, and great vibes come together. The cocktails are simply amazing, strong, well crafted, and impossible to resist! Whether you prefer fruity, refreshing, or bold flavors, there’s something for everyone. The food is just as impressive, with the burgers being absolutely top-notch—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The staff is young, efficient, and always welcoming. A special shoutout to our friend Rico, who served us with a smile and made us fall in love with his incredible cocktails. To Rico and the whole team, your Italian friends send their best regards. Lots of space. Options to sit under cover or outside. Sunset views. Views of the water. Great sky gazing at night spotting satellites. Fire pit at night. Live music. Games. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a trip down

We travelled across Barbados by taxi to watch RiteSide of Red at their Sunday reggae night and it was totally worth it. Matt, one of the owners, noticed us standing around confused and welcomed us with genuine warmth, found us a table and explained the food situation (something our hotel has failed to do after 4 days). There was vegan food on the menu, which was a treat, and the atmosphere was really chilled and friendly. RiteSide of Red were insanely tight and have obviously put a lot of hours into practicing, definitely check them out if you get the chance. 🤙🩷

Decent place, great for drinks and all outdoor with a beautiful view. I came in solo for dinner and service was terrible until I left when a nice man (the manager maybe?) was attentive and seemed on it. It's definitely more of a bar, so stick with more bar food if you go. I got the blackened mahi mahi which came with rice and a side salad. The salad was a joke (terrible dressing on a couple pieces of wilted lettuce) and the rice had no flavor. The mahi mahi was good though, so I would still go back but maybe just get the fries instead. They have a nice outdoor firepit and beautiful view of the water though so only knocking off one star because I think the atmosphere is worth it. Definitely off the beaten path but a cool vibe.

After 2 years of living on this island I can easily say this is the best bar in Barbados. Between the food, drinks, live music, and the atmosphere alongside the ocean you will certainly find a little slice of heaven.

Nice little bohemian surf lodge whipping up island cuisine and cold drinks. The atmosphere can’t be topped: fire raging, reggae band playing, with ambient laughs and conversation, all the while waves are slamming on the shore just a few hundred feet away. If you’re into boho, surf lodge type vibes, this is it.
