"Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and a sun terrace, the trendy Surfers Lodge Peniche offers comfortable accommodation for beach-goers. Baleal Beach is a 10-minute walk away. The environmentally-friendly house has the curiosity of being built using stripped parts of old boats. We had the best stay! It was so good we extended it to another night, total 3 nights but would have loved to stay longer. We were a family of 5 adults and had 3 rooms with balconies, the rooms were beautiful! The most comfortable beds. The staff are very helpful and so friendly. The restaurant had very yummy food, catering for vegetarians. We enjoyed the food so much we ate there every night. Loved the laid back vibe, loved the free bikes, loved the rooftop pool & lounge areas. Close to beaches, supermarket & beach bars.

Had a great 2 nights in this hotel - very calm and atmospheric ✨ My best wishes to the chef - the restaurant is amazing and even if you are not staying in the hotel I can really recommend just to have a meal there! 🙌🏻

One more stay @Surfers Lodge Peniche. As alwyas a pleasure to be back and wellcomed by Maria and Joana, the receptionits that will help you with everything you need. Breakfast is grate and neraly 100% of the food is cooked in doors. Try the restaurant for dinner where chef Ruben and the sommelier Sandra will treat you like a prince! Congrats to all the team!

Back again this spring. It is as good as usual. I didn't think it possible, but the food and drink is even better than the last time. The service is also top notch as usual. I truly reccomend this place! 😊

Firstly, never hire a surfboard from here. 10 euros everywhere else in town and a whopping 40 euros for 2hrs here.... scandalous and insulting. Literally everywhere charges 10 euros, so I didn't clarify the price (just like I don't clarify the price of beer at every bar). But after renting at the beach spots, thought I'd rent from the hotel for a change...big mistake and really felt taken advantage of. Now with the good & bad: Good: Clean & modern rooms, attentive staff and good breakfast. Close to great sushi and mexican restaurants. Bad: small rooms and even smaller bathroom, excessive rental prices and not exactly a 'surfers lodge'; more suited for a couples hotel. Also at reception, not much of a welcome and no local info provided. Mixed feelings about this place; honestly expected more

Very frindly staff and good location for surfing. Good bar and resturent. Rooms small but nice design. Pool and rooftop ok - but small. Missed complementary tea and coffe (expensive in bar). Surfschool good but rental of surfboards and wetsuit very expensive.

I've stayed here twice, in May and Oct 2023. Very charming hotel. Basic standard but with a nice twist. Tested several of their activities such as surfing lessons, yoga session and wine tours. Can also recommend borrowing their bikes for sightseeing (although many of their bikes are in acute need of service). Breakfast is great as well as their in-house restaurant as a whole for lunch or dinner. Staff always accommodating and service minded.
