It was LOVELY! Very laid back, amazing view of the ocean from the garden n rooms and when u r lucky u might even sea a koala on a tree right next to your dorm. Inside its very old fashion style but can get cozy, each house has something different to offer and there are many showers/toilets (nice, renovated), and kitchens. I'd def come back and the owner is lovely! I'm giving 4 not 5 stars as there were no lockers and a bit humid rooms.

Robyn was a lovely host and the hostel had a great, friendly, social atmosphere. 2 kitchens and 2 sets of showers/toilets provided more than enough facilities. However, cleanliness was not up to par in the kitchens, bathrooms and common areas. The bedrooms were tidy but our room didn't have a fan or widow that opened...in the summer after a 38 degree day, this wasnt ideal . Bedroom also didn't have enough wall plug-ins for all guests. The showers in the hostel building were very tiny with no hooks or places to keep clothing from getting wet. Although the location, price and host were great, there were a few things that could be upgraded to make the place fantastic.

Homey, cozy spot along the great ocean road less than a 10 min walk into town/shops/pubs. Really quaint and old-school in a good way – lovely, friendly woman named Robyn that runs it. Solid showers and kitchen facilities. Bit quiet socially but that prob depend on the crowd, only spent two nights. Resident Koala is cute. Would recommend

That's a Hostel I'd consider as a real backpacker hostel! Really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, huge property with loads of chill out areas, pool table and board games for free, bathrooms are pretty modern and new,... I felt like being at home! Robyn, the owner, is an absolutely gorgeous lady and cares for everyone! Really good place to stay :)

Was undergoing renovations which is a good sign of investment but meant there were no laundry facilities at that time, otherwise it's a nice little group of old houses, big common rooms with pool tables and a piano. Good cooking facilities, BBQ, outdoor areas. You can almost see the ocean and it's only a 5 minute walk into town.

+ Good atmosphere is this old house Friendly and helpful staff, very concerned about guests well being (special mention to Robyn) Free parking right next to the hostel Good location, you’re close to everything (i walked everywhere) but far enough to have a peaceful time there. Spacious common areas (lounge kitchen ..) Good value for money No bunk beds, only regular single beds (at least in my room) - Security wise it’s quite relaxed (i trust people so i don’t mind it but at least you know)

Turned up after booking online with Hostel world place was damp and smelt musky beds were very old. We asked politely to look elsewhere, So didn't stay as hostel world said we wouldn't be charged, to pay when we arrived. However we were charged full rate. There are far nicer places to stay in Apolo bay for a fraction more

It's a really nice place which looks really pretty with a lot of possibilities to hang around outside. The bathrooms could have been more clean but for the one night we stayed there it was ok. You will find better hostels but this one is still good.
