Google
The store is literal hidden gem, it was hidden but I found it. They were out of most of the drinks and we were waiting for a while, but let me say it was with it! The sushi tasted so fresh it was like they freshly cut the salmon. It was so juicy and tender . The service was amazing aswell. I would love to come back. The atmosphere was so calming . 9/10 would be 10 if they had the drinks, but everything else was fantastic.

Google
Food is not bad. The location is nice. Service is so so. For the whole hour I was at the restaurant my water didn't get refilled even once. I was completely ignored. I had a computer with me and was doing some work and even had to take a call but water could still be refilled. Also I saw a fly in my water glass... Now I wonder if food had flies on it too...

Google
Ok to be “American sushi”. Don’t expect anything extraordinary. The location is great, and the waitress was very friendly. Mochi balls are extremely overpriced.

Google
The service was exceptional, our waitress was very, very friendly, they have a good selection, and the establishment is very clean and has a beautiful view of the pier and lake Erie. Sadly, the only reason I cannot give it the full five-star review, is because when we went they were unable to fulfill some selections of the menu, because that day we went they were out of quite a few things. The food I did have was phenomenal though, so I would definitely go back to try the things I had wanted to. Cuz people are sometimes you can't control shipments not making it on time, or if some items sell more than others. So while it was disappointing, I can understand that sometimes things just don't go smoothly. 10 out of 10, I will be back in the future.

Google
We stopped after our visit to the Science Center. It's very pretty by the lake. You can access it from either the front of the Science center, or by walking behind the s.c over the tiny bridge. The sushi was delicious. Not busy at all for a Saturday lunch. Definitely would go back. We ordered baby octopus, and I guess I wasn't expecting whole baby octopuses, hahaha. Kind of shocked us, but I'm sure they were good, I just can't eat food that is smiling at us! 😂😂😂🐙🐙🐙🐙 would definitely recommend!

Google
Love the new place! Great addition to North Coast Harbor. The restaurant is very nice inside and will have patio seating along the water in the summer. The sushi is great and reasonably priced. Service was great, really liked the sushi chef. Short walk from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Science Center. Only downside right now is that they don't have a liquor license, so no beer or coctails...but sounds like they are working on that. Definitely worth a visit...will definitely be back.

Google
Simple cheap sushi options including poke bowls and a vegan sushi list. The decor is refined and simple with a lot of Japanese influence. It’s situated right behind the science center overlooking the lake. The only issue I have is that they do not offer beer or sake but there are many tea options. Overall a perfect place for a cheap fresh filling meal.

Google
The best sushi in Cleveland if not the USA. Classic, well prepared, delicious, carefully crafted. Fresh fish, fresh rice, great combinations and a highly skilled chef. Highly recommend if you have taste buds and any idea what good food is. Go here.

Yelp
What a great area. This marina is awesome and definitely one that you would do again. Doesn't only have the football stadium but the rock 'n' roll Hall of Fame and a great skyline as you can see from the picture. We use Yelp to locate sushi 86. Very nice and clean in the service was outstanding. She said there was a 45 minute wait but we didn't mind. It was well worth it. We had edmama for appetizers start things off. We ordered the temper shrimp. And three rolls. One was a dynamite Royhl the other was a rainbow row and the other one was I don't remember. They are all very good. We also had the soups. Our server was outstanding very friendly and personable.

Natalie B.

Yelp
We came on a weekday and there was no wait for dinner. The interior is modern and chic, quiet as well. I also appreciated that it was right on the water and you get a good view of the water and the stadium nearby. The chirashi bowl was fresh and a large portion

Melissa B.

Yelp
Stopped by here for late lunch after visiting the rock and roll hall of fame. This restaurant has a great location with some good views of the water and marina. I started with the miso soup which was a huge serving! It was perfect for how chilly of a day it was and I thought it was tasty. For my entree, I got the spicy tuna roll and the E.L.S. Roll. The E.L.S. roll was really tasty with the tempura in the middle. The salmon on top was good also. The spicy tuna roll is always a go to for me but this one was just fine! I think normally I'm used to the spicy tuna in the rolls to be more of a mixture of tuna and the sauce and this was more chunks of tuna and sauce instead of mixed together! It was still good, just not what I'm used to :) Prices were fair and everyone in my group seemed to like their meal. We were served in a timely matter - it looked like they had 2 sushi chefs.

Yelp
My friends and I came here after a visit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame because we were sooo hungry and this place was a very short walk away. (Heads up: if you are using Apple Maps to walk there and it tells you "you've arrived" but you haven't, keep walking a few feet! There are signs to point you to the door of the restaurant.) We came in around 1pm on a Saturday and were promptly seated. The service was quick and friendly, the atmosphere was nice and had large windows with a great view of the lake. For food, I went with miso soup to warm me up (which did the trick -- it was sooo hot), a salmon roll, and The Other Roll. Everything was delicious! The menu was large so I had a difficult time narrowing it down, but I enjoyed my choice very much! I also wanted to mention that I was here with my friend who isn't a sushi or seafood fan, and she was able to get a build-your-own poke bowl with chicken! So there was a little something for everyone here. A great place for sushi in Cleveland

Amanda T.

Yelp
So glad we stopped here after our visit to the Science Center. The staff was very nice and accommodating, making sure we had what we needed and in a hurry! The interior was beautiful with a modern yet classic Japanese feel and the view from the window was great with views of boats on the lake! We got both the Smoked Tuna Roll and the Eel Roll, which both were delicious in their own ways. I loved how simple yet creamy and flavorful the tuna roll was- and the little dishes used for dipping in your soy sauce are so cute. Definitely a great spot if you're in the area, especially after the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or Science Museum!

Evan G.

Yelp
Ordered lunch online here and it was awesome! I got a vegan poke bowl and the serving was huge. I also got a small roll on the side that was great to have on the side with the bowl. Tons of flavor, great portions, and the online ordering process was flawless.

Emily S.

Yelp
Finally went to dine in here after ordering out a ton of times! The sushi chef made awesome food. We went during lunch so service was quick and nice and quiet. Our waiter was very rude though and made it feel like we were inconveniencing him by asking for soy sauce...

Casey P.

Yelp
This is just my second time being here and it's quickly become a favorite! From the moment you walk in, you know the place is going to be good. The service isn't as good as it could be but the food is so good. I've had the poke and the 86 Roll and everything is so fresh! Being on the water in the harbor is incredible. They make food for the Browns and most of the other professional sports teams here in Cleveland. If you haven't been, it should definitely be on your list!

Kanika M.

Yelp
The sashimi box was some of the best, freshest fish I have ever had! The gyoza and the dragonfly roll were also absolutely delicious. Our server was so helpful and sweet, and the ambiance was quiet yet approachable. I cannot wait to come back!

Levi J.

Yelp
LOVE THIS PLACE!! Honestly they have the best sushi that I've tried in Cleveland! The fish is so fresh and their salmon is absolutely to die for (melts in your mouth)! The service/staff is always so personable and I really enjoy talking to all the employees. It is also a stunning location on the water and is perfect for a date night. Highly recommend the Dragonfly Roll and Rocket Roll!

I A M.

Yelp
Excellent sushi, service and what a VIEW! We were so pleased that they are VERY gluten free friendly, especially since one of us has Celiac. Abigail was super accommodating and friendly, and had great recommendations, such as Dilltastic roll and the fishless cucumber sandwich roll with goat cheese. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! And don't miss the salmon sashimi, it's awesome!!

XP D.

Yelp
Nice place near the rock and roll hall of fame! Stopped for a light and quick meal. It was a right choice. The food was excellent!

Ivy L.

Yelp
Better than many sushi places in Toledo. Roll wise not worth the money. Like instead of the rice inside out. It is the maki small roll for like over $10. But I really love the chirashu. Great price for great portion size and great quality of fish. If I come back, will definitely go for that. And the view and the environment of the restaurant is very chill and relaxing. For those people like to post foodie pictures, definitely is a nice place for Instagram.

Romeo O.

Yelp
Great ambiance, high ceilings, chill vibe, right on the water, with latte art and excellent service

Sergio K.

Yelp
Menu is limited - pretty unimaginable. The place looked clean and was cozy. Was disappointed with what we saw but did not try the food.

Kim K.

Yelp
The sushi was really good even though they were out of lobster. No liquor license as of yet. The waitress said they had applied for it and just waiting. Great view looking out on the water.

Craig M.

Yelp
Yeah... no, this place isn't it. The sushi was meh. The miso soup was too salty. Service was okay but overall they need to get their stuff together. Highly doubt this place stays open for too much longer.

Kate J.

Yelp
On a business trip from Connecticut and I love sushi. Wanted to try something close to my hotel that delivered. Unfortunately, this sushi missed the mark. I had the salmon avocado roll, Sushi 86 roll and seaweed salad. Flavors were weird. Sushi was salty and very americanized... I tried to eat as much as I could but I couldnt finish it. Just meh all around. I was thinking their "sweet soy sauce" was eel sauce but it is not unfortunately. Pickled ginger was good and I will say delivery was fast and that was appreciated!

Rob M.

Yelp
I love their new location. Great vibe. The food is some of the best sushi in Cleveland. Thanks for upgrading your dining experience.

R L.

Yelp
Don't buy rolls they have white sauce of some kind. Rolls no Bueno. Sushi, tuna, salmon and yellow tail were good. Tuna was the best

Lauren K.

Yelp
I'm updating my five star review to another 5 star review. Sushi 86 delivers, literally and figuratively, and in the pandemic I'm so grateful I can still get my favorite sushi and support one of my favorite businesses. Especially because I don't always get on foot to this part of downtown anymore. The Three Way roll, stuffed with avocado and tempura with crab salad on top, is my absolute favorite roll in Cleveland. If you love sushi, you'll love this role. It's a combo of flavors that you might not necessarily think you'll like, but I promise you will adore it. It's enough on its own, but if you're going to order more, a few basic futomaki rolls will do the trick. They are generous in portion and will complement anything. We like the salmon and avocado! Thanks Sushi 86, for still being awesome throughout this crazy time in our world! You will not regret patronizing this fab local spot.

Soms O.

Yelp
Great new location on the North Coast. We ate inside and really enjoy the views of the rock hall. Sushi was great. Best place in Cleveland for sushi that we've found.

Violaracer K.

Yelp
The portions are small but it's tasty and not too expensive. Most people spending their money here won't be disappointed I think.

Kelsey M.

Yelp
Pictured: salmon avocado roll and California roll Pretty good sushi overall. Considering Cleveland isn't located on the ocean (Though Lake Erie tries to make 'North Coast' a thing), the sushi was fairly fresh tasting . The California roll was hands down my favorite of the two (also dipped it in the -not so -spicy mayo) great combination. The staff was very friendly as well. A great establishment. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town!

maddy a.

Yelp
my boyfriend and i stopped here on a whim after the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and enjoyed it so much! the woman who helped us was so sweet and quick while being the only server assisting 4 tables of people. the food was soooo well done, the sushi was tasty and refreshing especially in the summer heat. the set up inside is very clean aesthetically with a pretty view of the marina. would definitely come back!

Nil G.

Yelp
We found this establishment while looking for a place to eat in Downtown Cleveland, it was pretty decent and on point. Actually it was above expectations for a small kiosk. It looked like most food was being prepared for take-out. Their uni was quite good. Service was quick. Minimal furniture and decor. A decent lunch spot.

Christina P.

Yelp
This has been on my place to try for what seems like forever. I'm always on the lookout for good sushi places and they seem to be few and far in between in the Cleveland area as a whole. I stopped here to get some lunch to go. Inside there's a few areas to sit which is nice considering it's in the Arcade and isn't very large. I ended getting miso soup for $2.75 and, after talking with the hostess taking my order, I decided on then fresh fish maki lunch plate which included 3 pieces each of tuna, escolar and salmon for $9. Overalll the fish was decent, the rice was decent but it didn't blow me away. You may ask me how can I judge this somewhat harshly when I literally just got maki rolls. The thing is, good sushi is good sushi - the fish tastes fresh and the rice is well done. The sushi here isn't bad but it's ALSO not above average. It's fine for a sushi lunch spot. I think $9 for 9 smaller rolls of average (read: not hard to come by) fish seems like a bit much but I guess it is downtown. Overall, it's fine but I don't know if I'll be back.

Al W.

Yelp
Overall a great experience. Sushi was fresh and good. Had 4 different rolls and all were great. 3 way and the spicy tuna were my favorite

Jody W.

Yelp
I'll be honest...when I walk into a sushi place and it's completely empty and the sushi chefs are young, non-Asian dudes, my normal instinct is to run screaming in the other direction. But we decided that we had walked enough and would give this little, new-looking sushi spot a chance. It was very clean and we needed to sit down and have an adult beverage. Win #1: They had Japanese whiskey Win #2: They had a really nice selection of sake Win #3: They had sampling menus of the sake and whiskey (flights, basically) Win #4: The staff there were friendly and as we drank our flights, we got friendlier Win #5: The sushi was actually really good. I had very low expectations for the sushi, but the fish was fresh and everything we tried was excellent. I still don't fully trust non-Japanese sushi chefs. It's part of my DNA and I won't apologize for it. But, over the years, I've become friendly with some excellent sushi-makers that happen to be from Malaysia...so yes...good sushi can be made by a couple of friendly kids in Cleveland.

Aria P.

Yelp
I used Sushi 86 for several catering opportunities. About 10 or so years ago they used to offer for a sushi chef/ roller to come to the event and live roll sushi, it was great. I've also order platters and it's always fresh.

Brian R.

Yelp
Rolls rely very heavily on fats and sugars for happy, but they're exquisitely plated, the fish is super fresh, and the service is first-rate. I just wish they would trust the Sushi Force, and not overload the rolls with so much heft heroin. In the arcade of an office building, across from the ballpark, it was weird how packed the restaurants with sidewalk seating were, and how forgotten this place was. C'mon, Tribe. A little wahoo before heading to Chief Wahoo's palace of pop? It's several notches below Tremont's Ginko, in terms of amazingosity, but Ginko seats just a few more people than Jiro's legendary joint in Tokyo. Two week wait. So there is that hope that they can take the artistic plating, the fresh fish, and tone down the fats, and let chef's mastery shine through.

Jamison L.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I found this sushi place because it had good reviews. We were excited because we love sushi, and it was right across the street from our apartment. We decided to get it delivered to us so we could prepare for the Post Mall Concert. We were expecting a long wait time because of the concert. It took up to 20-30 minutes for a driver to get our food after it was ready, so I decided to walk down there myself. As I was walking there, I saw the status change that the driver could pick it up, so I walked back. We spent $80, and the most disappointing part was that the tuna was so warm, and there wasn't Any flavor. She didn't even eat it and had to throw the bowl away, and mine was warm too. What's even more disappointing is that you cant call, text, or email them to get a response. It goes straight to an operating system. At this point, it was too late to eat, so we went to the concert hungry. A refund would be appreciated and expected.

Maeve P.

Yelp
I was really pleasantly surprised by Sushi 86! Being inside the Arcade downtown, I didn't expect much, but I had heard from a friend about their unique whisky tasting option, so my friends and I thought we'd give it a try. I'm so glad we did, because not only was the sushi delicious, but the whisky tasting was a fun, unique experience. For sushi, I got the 3-way reverse cowgirl, with tempura shrimp, avocado, crab salad, spicy mayo, sweet soy, and the hot sauce that comes with it on the side. My friend got the ELS roll (Inside-out tempura shrimp and avocado roll with salmon + spicy mayo), and both of us were very satisfied by our rolls. They tasted very fresh, and they were a good size portion. For the whisky tasting, we got the second of the two options for the flight and got three, unique, Japanese whiskeys. Along with the flight, they gave us a pamphlet explaining the history and composition of each whisky, and gave us a paper and pen to record notes about each as we tried them. Knowing the history of each drink made it more fun, and we were able to take the pamphlets home with us after dinner. The restaurant also had a great vibe, with good music, elegant decor, and excellent service. Overall, we had a great experience and will be coming back again!

Miles R.

Yelp
Excellent sushi! And plenty of great vegan options. The pickled ginger that comes with each order is pretty good too.

Danielle S.

Yelp
I have been ordering from Sushi 86 for close to a decade now. I absolutely love them! Their prices are more than fair for their quality. I have yet to find a place that makes Miso Soup as good as Sushi 86. My go to "treat yo self" order from them is their Gomoku, inari and of course Miso Soup. They also have wonderful vegan and vegetarian options. I've probably tried every single thing on their menu at some point. Highly recommend. And the staff has always been super friendly.

Rita O.

Yelp
The most under rated sushi spot in Cleveland. I was so upset when they closed down during the pandemic, but good news: they're back. The freshness of the sushi never disappoints. The fish is so delicious and fresh that they don't need to dip it in 10 different sauces to hide the fishy taste of the raw fish (because there is no fishy taste). Highly recommend. I hope this spot stays open because I don't want to order from the 2nd sushi spot on my list.

Pablo R.

Yelp
I take my sushi very this sushi joint is one of my favorite sushi joints in Cleveland. I have eaten across the u.s. and internationally. This is without a doubt one of the best not to be missed while in Cleveland. Very clean very courteous and fast for pickup downtown.

Madison S.

Yelp
Shout out to Lauren for introducing me to THE best sushi I have ever had! (and encouraging me to order the 3-Way Reverse Cowgirl) This roll is just as dynamite as it's name would suggest! If I'm remembering correctly, it contained shrimp tempura with avocado with a GIANT lump of crab salad sitting on top all drizzled with spicy mayo, hot sauce, and sweet soy. Yum. So delicious. Can't say enough. Would order a thousand times. That being said, my hands are incapable of working chopsticks correctly. I try and try again and I just end up with a sad pile of mangled sushi on my plate. After destroying one piece of the beautiful creation that is the 3-Way, I decided to call in back up and ask for a fork. Not only did they bring me a fork, but they were kind enough to think I still had it in me and brought over a pack of those chopstick cheaters! This was the best thing ever, and I was so glad I could still make an attempt with the chopsticks. Maybe there's hope! All in all, the sushi was delicious and filling and the staff was amazing.

Tore M.

Yelp
I take my sushi very seriously. My favorite thing to eat is sashimi. this sushi joint is one of the most favorite sushi joints I've eaten across the u.s. that says a lot the fish was fresh the roles were incredible and dare I say the mochi balls oh my God they were to die for. service was completely casual no one was super attentive or anything but that was okay because he atmosphere was just perfect. My daughter and I sat at the sushi bar we had a pleasant meal the food was great I just can't rave about it enough!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
This is an awesome sushi place in downtown Cleveland! The interior is very clean and modern, with a good number of tables both inside and outside. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the sushi was delicious at a great price. We tried the 86 roll (this one has raw fish in it), which had tuna, yellowtail, avocado, cucumbers, masago and tamago, and it was amazing! We also had the Gomoku roll, which included smoked salmon, eel, shrimp, crabstick, tamago, and sweet soy sauce with sesame seeds sprinkled on top. This roll was awesome too - particularly for those who aren't fond of raw fish - this one has only cooked ingredients. Both of these rolls came with lots of toppings, were well made and plated, with only a thin layer of nori and rice (no padding of rice in the rolls like at some other sushi places). Also, the prices for the rolls were all very reasonable (in fact, cheaper than some decent places in CA). Only downside is that it is located in the heart of downtown Cleveland, very close to the Progressive Stadium, so parking is either an arm and a leg at one of the garages (though, these might be best deal if you're staying for several hours and willing to pay daily max), or if you snag one of the street metered spots (but these are usually 2 hour max).

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I was one of their first customers...back in the day. Coming off of a bad sushi experience two weeks ago elsewhere, I needed a reprieve. I love their consistency in terms of quality and freshness. I can't count the many times over we've been here since opening day and they've only improved since. Tonight was no exception with our carry out order. And now they have local delivery via bikers downtown and outside that via Grubhub. Can't say enough great things about Sushi 86 and appreciate not having to worry about ever having a subpar experience. Highly recommend!

Gayle T.

Yelp
Definitely filling! The 3-way Reverse Cowgirl was a good portion, but perhaps too much and too much mayonnaise but still enjoyable. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the 86 roll more. Neither were particularly spicy at all, but overall I was satisfied with my meal.

Hal D.

Yelp
If you want a true sushi bar experience. This isn't it. If you want really good sushi rolls to go or to sit at a table outside, this is definitely it. If you are picky about rice consistency and quality of the fish like I am, you will definitely want to stop by. U have to order online prior (COVID WIERDNESS I GUESS) but we'll worth it. Nice people too!! I'll be back for sure. Edit@@@I see pics of a sushi bar which looks nice but I only saw the walk up area. Maybe it is a great sushi bar experience. I just didn't see that area!

Molly P.

Yelp
Ordered this through DoorDash and got their "3 way reverse cowgirl" which is a tempura shrimp roll with a GENEROUS amount of crab salad on top and it was SO SO good! Definitely will be ordering from here again and again! Loved this roll!

Rachel M.

Yelp
Cute Sushi place in Cleveland. Had a seaweed salad, miso soup and a spicy box! My bill was $16. I left full. Of course I would tell you it was basic California roll. It was good. Next time I would try a more adventurous roll. I am sure it would be excellent. Customer Service is on Point!

Anon A.

Yelp
So I'll start by saying their boba tea is fairly good. I've only had it once, although good, I noticed it was a small cup and it was full to the brim with ice taking away from the actual drink. Ahh whatever, I'll just tell them next time I order a drink that I would like half ice. I go back the following week and order two of them and ask for half ice. They tell me they only do one amount of ice - full . So they knowingly pack the drinks full so you don't get very much actual tea and won't let you get anything but a full cup of ice before putting a drink in. Seems really shady and I can't support a business that would do that. If you want great boba tea, fairly priced, and will allow whatever amount of ice you desire (hah) - go to Koko bakery - best boba in Cleveland.

Andrew G.

Yelp
Went to sushi 86 with friends last week. The service was extremely impressive. The young girl who helped us was phenomenal. The sushi and sashimi was fresh and delicious. It was ok.

Emily D.

Yelp
Sushi 86 is my go to sushi spot downtown. I typically get sushi 86 at least once a week what can I say...I love it! I've never had anything I didn't like there..if you're feeling adventurous try the 3 way reverse cowgirl. Also love the classics: spicy tuna roll and California roll. I regularly get their miso soup...it's super flavorful and delicious. While their atmosphere could use a little help, their patio is super cute and relaxing. Also they do a great job when it comes to take out...they make it so easy if you're ordering for multiple people by separating each order.

Ana M.

Yelp
This place was set up at the Asian lantern festival this weekend and we saw they had bubble tea. So we ordered some and asked for light ice. When the guy made it he filled the ENTIRE cup with ice. So we told him we ask for light ice and he told us they have "pre portions" they have to follow. My husband was like okay we're not complaining about the drink we just want less ice and he said no it's pre portioned we can't change it. We proceeded to tell him it's just ice we don't want an entire cup of ice and he told us he didn't want to deal with our "attitude" and turned around. What an AWFULLLLL way to do business. It may sound silly but I have never ever been told that I'm not allowed to ask for a normal ice ratio. I would never go to this place after that stingy ness. Gross. $12 for two cups of ice. The picture featured was after some of the ice melted from walking around for 20 min and as u can see they forced us to drink a $6 cup of ice.
