Yelp
On a specific no red meat diet until Sept, so we were really glad to have found this place. At first glance, it looks really small from the outside, but once inside - it's such a cute decorated restaurant with at least 10 tables (combinations of two and four people) + outdoor seats available.
The online menu looks to be as updated as the store version- so I didn't take any photos. Plenty of parking since it's located within a plaza, kind of towards the inner corner. So, once turned into the plaza- keep driving.
Staff were really friendly and attentive- came multiple times to ask how we're doing. Service was pretty fast, considering how effective they were handling both dine in customers and takeout orders.
Food wise, since we weren't exactly starving - we shared the premium sashimi combination (30pcs). $79.99 Comes with toro (4), salmon belly (4), yellowtail belly (4), scallops (4), uni (2), sweet shrimp (2), tamago (2), ikura, snapper (4) and amberjack (4)- and fresh wasabi (not enough for all the fish). Definitely all pretty big slices. We were stuffed at the end.
Miso soup to start the meal, sip on a large hot sake in between my sashimi intakes. Enjoyed every piece of fish, the amberjack, snapper, toro were my favorites. The scallops were decent, it's more like two scallops (halve to display 4) - the shiso leave was not good, tasted a bit off. Tamago isn't my thing, but my partner said it tasted burnt and a day old.
They offered green tea ice cream with chocolate syrup to conclude the meal. Chocolate syrup sweetness overpowered the subtle green tea ice cream. Not my thing.
Will come again, by far this is the only sushi place we had found to be good in this neighborhood. Will try their nigiri next time.
