Sushi Kabuki

Found this Sushi restaurant in Herndon and it did not disappoint! We ordered a few special rolls and the Caterpillar was delicious. Other rolls were good too. We also had a Ramen noodle bowl which was plentiful and fresh tasting. All in all, would recommend and would visit again!

We’ve been coming to Sushi Kabuki since it first opened, and it’s hands down one of our favorite spots in the Reston/Herndon area! The variety of sushi is incredible, always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every team member here is genuinely kind and respectful, and the service has consistently been excellent. This place never disappoints!

Wow! I’m a very picky sushi lover, and it’s tough to find a place that truly impresses me. Most sushi spots just don’t cut it—but this one? Next level. The flavor combinations here are absolutely incredible. A must-try spot—you won’t regret it

Unbelievably delicious and not pricey at all! The servers were especially friendly and even gave us a surprise celebratory dessert for my son. Highly recommended for both special dineouts or just a family meal.

Great place. Good service, good food, and great atmosphere. This place is pretty new at the area. We went as a group and ordered lots of sushi and sashimi. We loved it. Def will be back :)

I met a family member here for lunch last week and the food was amazing! Huge portions, specifically for the lunch special. My aunt ordered the chicken teriyaki box, and I ordered the sushi lunch combo and it came out on a boat. Everything was so fresh and the servers were very attentive and kind. Highly recommend!

My wife and I wanted to give this new Sushi spot a try in our neighborhood and we are surprised and pleased with the taste and quality of the sushi. We definitely recommend the super rainbow and Kabuki rolls. The server was super friendly and kind. We will definitely come back! 5 star all around.

I had an amazing dining experience at this newly opened Japanese restaurant! The quality of the fish was outstanding—everything was incredibly fresh and melted in my mouth. The sashimi and sushi were beautifully presented, and you could really taste the high-quality ingredients in every bite. The miso soup was absolutely delicious, rich in flavor, and the perfect way to start the meal. The attention to detail in both the presentation and the taste made this a truly memorable experience. Heard that they opened so we stopped in for dinner What we ordered * Larry's Roll - Spicy Tuna Roll With Tuna, Thin-Sliced Lemon, Smelt Roe And Scallion With Kabuki Sauce On Top * Devil Ray Roll - Eel, Avocado, Cream Cheese With Eel Sauce * squid sushi * seaweed salad * Tako wasabi The fish was super fresh and service very attentive. Enjoyed everything. The octopus was a nice treat as it's a raw preparation in a lovely wasabi sauce. Will be fun to explore other options.

Absolutely Amazing experience. The food was fresh and delicious, and the presentation was top-notch. Our group was constantly just eating without much of talking lol. The service was attentive and very friendly. Hands down one of the best sushi spot. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delightful! Lunch was a bowl of rich miso soup following by half dozen pieces of sushi and a tuna roll. The sushi was the best I've ever eaten. Cool fresh fish with warm flavorful sushi rice. Most importantly, the ratio of fish to rice was perfect. The service was fast, professional and very friendly. The restaurant is appealing and tastefully decorated. I can't wait to introduce my wife to this wonderful new restaurant.

Sushi Kabuki is one of our go-to sushi places for takeout. The restaurant does not possess the biggest selection of specialty rolls or a wide variety of unique fish, but the freshness and very reasonable prices keep us coming back for more. The highest price for specialty rolls at this place is about $20, which is the minimum price for rolls at some other local competitors. The fish slices in the rolls are generous, especially in the classic rolls which are stuffed with big pieces of fresh fish. I have not dined in here, but the restaurant appears very clean and modern and the staff are friendly. As such, Sushi Kabuki is a solid neighborhood option to get a sushi craving met, especially for the price.

One of the best sushi spots I've been to- friendly, quick service, great portions, amazing flavors/variety, and decently priced. Went on a Tuesday night and it wasn't crowded but still a few tables filled. Bar, table and outdoor seating. We ordered edamame, seaweed salad and shrimp tempura for apps and all were great. Fresh and bright seaweed salad, warm and salted edamame and super hot and crunchy shrimp tempura. We ordered a variety of rolls and they were all amazing. They don't put too much rice which I appreciate, but they load on the fish and pack in the flavor. The Dynamite Roll is a MUST. Definitely on my go-list!

Nice casual neighborhood ambiance. There are booth and regular four-person tables seating, plus about four sushi bar seatings Food & Beverage Great sushi and sashimi offerings. Decent hot food on the menu - Bronzini and salmon sashimi, super fresh. - Sushi deluxe is also very good - Hamachi (yellowtail) meal, hamachi was well cooked with stir fry vegetables of cabbage, celery, zucchini with teriyaki sauce, very tasty - Chicken Katsu is well lighted fry chicken, side pickles and cabbage salad (coleslaw Japanese style) - Dessert: Japanese multilayered crepes with matcha cream. So good (but probably not made in-house and you can get it from other Japanese bakeries like Shiela) Love the adult beverage menu of wine and sake, reasonable prices on Japanese beers - draft and bottles Friendly, attentive service. Recommended!

This is a hidden gem that anyone who loves sushi must stop in and get some of the best sushi in the area. The service is fantastic with a very extensive selection of rolls and fish. They have many cooked options for the person in your group that may not like sushi. Although, this is so good that it would be the perfect place to take a first timer. Warning: they will become a sushi snob as the quality of the fish is very high. The restaurant is extremely clean and is appointed with delightful Japanese artwork.

Service for wonderful and waitress keep coming and check on us. Sushi were every fresh and desert was wonderful. Will definitely go back again.

Best Sushi in NOVA! Nice atmosphere, and great service as well. There's also a nice traditional full bar with TV sporting events! Only gripe is they don't have Poke Bowl...

The food was so awesome again on our second visit that we brought our grandkids and family the next night to try more dishes. The service is outstanding and they adapt well to special requests The boat we chose had four types of sashimi as well as a rainbow roll and other goodies on it. Every bite was devoured Have tried 4 types of desserts between all of us

I'm glad I found this semi-hidden gem. The sushi was fresh and one of the best I've had. My wife got the Katsu box and everything there was delicious as well. Great service and clean restaurant. I'll definitely be back!

Great fresh sushi, we loved the nigiri it was fresh and rolls had a great taste and we had amazing service! Will most definitely return!!

It's been a while since I experienced this level of satisfaction at a restaurant. Everything was excellent at all levels. The service was outstanding and the quality & presentation of the food was top-notch. So far my personal favorite is the super rainbow roll with some bulgogi - You MUST try it!! Can't wait to go back and try other rolls and dishes :)

The sushi here is an A++, the five stars on yelp well deserved. I'm shocked not more than 16 people reviewed it,....well 17 counting this one.:) Make a trip and stop by you'll love it.

Went to Sushi Kabuki yesterday for lunch and it was excellent. I believe this is a newer establishment. Went early so it wasn't that busy. Someone came in after us and the staff greeted "Welcome back". Thought that was a nice sign. Ordered the sashimi salad, bulgogi bento and the kabuki combo. Bento and kabuki combo came with salad or soup. Bulgogi was amazingly tender and hot, tempura crispy and not oily, perfect. The bento portions and kabuki combo were huge and sashimi was so fresh. Lunch partner and I were both full and carried out lots of leftovers. Service was attentive but not suffocating, which I appreciated. And the prices were much less than I'm used to. There are not many restaurants you walk out feeling you got more than you paid for anymore in this economy. This is one of them. Will be back often.

Lovely new restaurant that checks all my boxes: great sushi, friendly waitstaff, menu with lots of variety, pretty modern decor, relaxing jazz music in the background. All in all, a great dinner. We'll be back!

Ate here last night and it did not disappoint. The fish was super fresh and the rolls were very delicious. As a sauce person I actually didn't need anything as these were flavorful on their own. The Larry roll with lemon on top was exceptionally refreshing and unique. We will absolutely be back

New restaurant just opened every thing was excellent from the service to the ambiance this place is a keeper...

I hope this place lasts!!! I have been here 3 times . It is very good and I am super picky about sushi! Everything from their service to the quality of fish is amazing.

Absolutely wonderful addition to the Fox Mill Shopping center! The sushi is fresh, and the portions are generous and attractive. Best seaweed salad I've ever had. We are regulars now and they remember our orders and even offer complimentary dishes from the chef to try - really nice

Just found out it was grand opening. Went there for dinner. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive. The kitchen missed one order and he kept us updated and followed up. Yummy chicken is crispy. Yellow tail fish head is tender and juicy. However it is lack of flavor. If it can be grilled on charcoal, the additional smell will make it more tasty. Salmon is fatty in the salmon plate. However the late coming takoyaki was still frozen in the middle. Already reflected to our sever. Hope they can improve in the future.
