Sushi Okeya Kyujiro

This was my first time trying omakase, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The service staff were incredibly polite and helpful, and all the chefs were very professional. Every dish was beautifully prepared and delicious. My favorites were the fried lobster and the sukiyaki. The wagyu was incredibly tender and literally melted in my mouth, and the lobster was perfectly crispy and flavorful. I especially loved the chef’s violin performance at the end — it elevated the whole dinner. The entire experience was relaxing, enjoyable, and truly memorable. Highly recommend everyone to come and try it at least once!

OMGGG! This is hands down one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been to in Toronto. I absolutely love omakase, and this place truly exceeded my expectations. They offer a 25-course dinner, and every single dish was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. 🍣✨ The service was outstanding — the server was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. And the chef can even play the violin 🎻, which made the night feel so special and unforgettable. Such a wonderful dining experience overall. I left feeling extremely satisfied and full 🥺 Definitely worth it, and I will 100% be coming back again!

Really unique Japanese dining experience with great food and service. Went for a birthday and although the place was a bit hard to find at first we were greeted immediately at the door. The sushi was very fresh and it was really cool for them to showcase the actual fish that were we consuming. Some of the coordination with the music and presentation of the food was timed perfectly. They also showcased their knife carving abilities by carving out a picture of mount fuji on some sort of leaf. On the way out, they even gave us one item from Japan such as a little cat toy. It was a nice pleasant surprise. Overall a great experience if you are tired of normal omakases in Toronto.

Had dinner here last night and it was an amazing experience. We’ve had many Omakases before and I must say the experience and thoughtful presentation (almost theatrical) was appreciated. The food was great as well. At $350 / pp + drinks and tax, it is pricey for sure, so be prepared for that. It’s hard for me to ever say that any food is ‘worth it’ for that kind of money, but I almost felt like we paid for a dinner and show. Would recommend if looking for something a bit different from a ‘ordinary’ Omakase.

Went here with my girlfriend for her birthday! One of the best and most fun restaurants in Toronto. I think all of the food was super yummy, it was great to see the waitresses wearing Kimono, reminded me of being back in Japan. The chefs were all skilled and enjoyed doing their craft, I also love that at the end there is a little token/gift that you can take home with you! Will be back soon! I brought my partner here for his birthday lunch and we were both so pleased with the experience. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with the utmost care. It truly felt like we were transported to Japan for a moment. Each dish was crafted with quality ingredients and the 15 course lunch was the perfect amount of food. They also surprised us with a sweet birthday performance at the end of the lunch, along with dessert and tea. Needless to say, it’s become our favourite omakase spot. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a special lunch or dinner in the city.

Fun omakase/kaiseki style meal with a theatrical flare. Something different from your traditional, more reserved omakase style meal. It was also fun to wear the Japanese robe they provided, adds to the whole experience. Service was great, with friendly chefs and staff that announce each dish clearly. The meal did feel a bit rushed considering there was only one seating per night (I assume). Choice of dish ware /utensils for certain courses and assembly of some dishes could be a bit more refined considering the price point. Overall an enjoyable experience!
