I had dinner at Sushi Rei, and it was an impressive experience. The quality of the sushi was top-notch with incredibly fresh flavors. The chef and staff were very friendly and welcoming, adding warmth to the atmosphere.

This was the best omakase I’ve experienced outside of Japan and I’ve been to many 1-2 star ones across the world. Firstly, I’d like to say this is a more traditional style tasting experience. I can tell everything we ate was sourced from the fish to the garnish specifically by the chef. A true omakase experience for enthusiasts of food. Of course this comes at a certain price point when important high quality fresh ingredients from Japan. This was acceptable to us as people who love tasting the best a culinary experience can offer. While a traditional tasting experience, there are still a good level of creativity. But don’t expect coming here for a experimental palate tasting. It’s not by any means boring, but the choices made highlight the best of the best instead of trying too much to impress people. I’d also like to say the head chef was very friendly to us and explained every dish with detail and even an illustration of what fish or seafood we are eating which was unique. Some even came with his own personal story of that particular fish. The service was attentive as you’d expect with only a few seats. I wanted for nothing. I never had to ask for anything, a glass was never empty when I wanted a drink. The servers poured when cups when empty and asked if I wanted something more without being pushy when I was finished. We actually came here 2x. One of our first nights in Saigon and we went again on our last night on a trip and it was a great experience both times. The decor was beautiful and put us in a good mood as a small intimate atmosphere. I would not be surprised if this omakase receives a star in the future as Michelin has started to come into Vietnam. It was certainly deserving compared to other omakase that had 1-2 ⭐️ Well worth the experience and we will be back next time we visit Saigon.

Fantastic experience. The 5,2mil menu is worth every cent. I lost count of how many different type of fish we tried but each next one was beating the previous. Universe of flavour so. Sake tasting set is great way to figure out what to choose. Oysters and sea urchin were unbelievable. Fresh Baby eels with ginger sauce were outstanding. Head chef is a star , had a great conversation throughout the whole experience.

I went with high expectations, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I was looking forward to enjoying sushi, but there was only a small amount of it, and the rest was other dishes. Despite the rather high price, I still felt hungry afterward. I can’t help but think that in Japan, you could easily find meals of this level—or better—at a much better value.

My favorite place to have omakase sushi in Ho Chi Minh city. I have been to this place several times and their quality is very consistent. Though each visit still gives me that wow factor, the chefs here are very creative and I was never bored of the variety of dishes I was served. This place can easily rival top omakase sushi restaurants I've had in New York City and Seattle. The fishes here are flown from the famous Tsukiji market which explains the high price. They have a nice rotation of fish. The nigiri itself was very good. They offer not only the traditional nigiri with traditional flavour but also new twist to traditional nigiri such as the squid nigiri; which traditionally only comes with rice, squid, wasabi and soy sauce. Here they put caviar on top which sounds cliché in fine dining but it really works here. It gives the squid (which usually doesn't have much flavour even with soy sauce) an another dimension of flavour. Yes the price is expensive and there are more affordable yet very good omkase places in Ho Chi Minh city but the higher price here is justifiable because of the chef's knowledge and creativity and also the large variety of high quality fish flown straight from Japan.
