This restaurant can only be said that it is not an authentic Japanese restaurant. If you look at the ingredients of the octopus salad, it is especially the authentic Japanese mustard octopus. Unfortunately, this is definitely not. The sushi roll is ordinary, and even it will break when it is pinched with chopsticks. In fact, these are not a big problem. The big problem is the Sukiyaki. The Sukiyaki should be a kind of hot pot, using fresh beef and raw egg liquid. The beef used in the store is marinated, and looking at the picture, this is clearly a bowl of fried shrimp tempura udon noodles. I asked twice and took out the real meaning of the Sukiyaki on the Internet. They said, "This thing is the Sukiyaki here." Well, that's it. The tempura is good. You can order it. Overall, at this price, I probably won't come again next time. If you don't know how to cook Japanese food, I suggest you try other similar restaurants or hire someone from Japan who knows how to cook Japanese food.

Probably the best food we ever had, anywhere. The price is higher than elsewhere, but it was worth it for this treat. Fish, ramen, noodles, everything was amazing. Kid had Ramen, we had one of the combinations/packs with misou soup, sushi, tempura etc. Has a pretty aquarium, the atmosphere and service are great.

The restaurant has a Japanese-style ambiance, and one of its highlights is the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The service is excellent, offering great recommendations if it’s your first visit and you’re unsure what to choose. The sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh and delicious, the soba noodles were also satisfying, and the tempura paired perfectly with its flavorful sauce. And the dessert also worth to try. I highly recommend trying the hot shoujo—a warm and gentle Japanese alcoholic drink.

The food was absolutely delicious! Very beautiful restaurant in a calm area. Our favourites were the gyoza and the Sake no teri yaki. We finished with the chocolate balls filled with mango which were very tasty! The staff was friendly and attentive.

Fantastic place for sushi! Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Budapest. The maki had the perfect ratio of rice to fish and the nigiri practically melted in my mouth. Highly recommended for sushi lovers.

Very good sushi at Budapest. Traditional sushi and also Budapest style. We really enjoyed it with the family. Recommended for sushi lovers. I’m not a big sushi fan, but Inteally enjoyed the food here! My daughter likes sushi very much she told me one this is one of the best sushi place she’s ever been at Budapest.

Lovely restaurant with excellent, friendly staff. Had the Budapest Maki to start with and, with 9 pieces, it is a hearty starter. My wife started with the Spicy Tuna Maki and both were delicious. Main course was the deep fried chicken which was excellent and the tempura udon soup which my wife loved but was a bit bland for my liking. Overall a great place for sushi lovers...and the Gosser on draft was also cold and clean. Will definitely return.

Came to Sushi Sei almost 10 times in the past 1 year and a half, this restaurant is one of my personal favorites in Budapest. The food was excellent and the waiter serving us was really polite and friendly. Elegant dining atmosphere, a great place for dining or lunch. Slightly difficult to find parking nearby, but if you come during the weekend it is would be easy to find parking in front of the restaurant, across the street. Soba, katsu don, dessert, and steam egg are the best, in my opinion, I tried almost all menus and they are all outstanding. Very nice 10/10
