We went here for dinner tonight and everything was very good. Our server Carmen did a great job! All the food we ordered was delicious. I had the Beef with Broccoli and Wife had the California Roll and a a Spring Roll. We both had Wonton and Scallion Soup. The atmosphere was nice. There are Hibachi grills, but they were all booked, which was a non factor since e weren’t there for that…

Google
Had an excellent hibachi experience with my wife on a quiet Tuesday. Staff was friendly and extremely welcoming. The drink selection was my personal favorite as they offered a wide variety of Vermont and New England based beers as well as creative and well crafted cocktails. We had some sashimi as an appetizer that was presented wonderfully and tasted great! Hibachi experience hit on all marks. Performance, Time, taste, and price. Will definitely return when in the area. Highly recommend!

Google
Nice experience. A lil pricey but food is really good. I liked my pumpkin wheat ale during fall, and enjoyed my rock and roll sushi. My mum took the shrimp teriyaki and liked it too. The Mai tai was good, but not the best I've had. The ambience was good, and the fire pit in the patio area was cozy. Some parts of the restaurant were a little dim (going down from the stage area) and could use more lighting.

Google
Absolutely love it here! I’ve been 3 times and each time I wish I lived closer to killington. The food is delicious and always beautifully presented. I ordered a wonton soup, orange chicken and the veggie fried rice and it was all perfect! They give big portions sizes that can be shared among a friend or two, all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is very lively. Will return again!

Google
We had Chinese and a 2 sushi rolls and it was awesome. Will have to try hibachi next time. The place was understandably packed with people waiting when we left on a Sunday evening in October. Highly recommend! Visiting from Cape Cod and the Boston area. ❤️😀👍🏽

The food was all delicious. Very flavorful. Staff was very friendly and helpful with our order. Plates are sharable. The atmosphere is great inside. Very happy with everything.

Google
I came back after a long break with friends and was praised for suggesting this place. Good atmosphere and good food for a reasonable price if you are a fan of sushi in Vienna/Tysons area.

Sushi Yoshi is an interesting & lively restaurant. It has a sizable menu with something yummy for everyone’s palates. Whether you want hibachi or classic chinese or sushi, it’s got it all in abundance. Great selection of drinks to accompany with too. The food taste is good enough but nothing extraordinary. Service is pleasant. Definitely worth dropping by while in Killington!

Yelp
Fun and lively restaurant in a Friday night in ski season. You can only make reservations for the hibachi. We were able to be seated at the sushi bar quickly. The sushi rolls were great! Also loved the chocolate lava cake for dessert.

Alicia C.

Yelp
Popped in for lunch and enjoyed the huge beer selection! Loved getting to try lots of great local brews. Super tasty rolls! Highly recommend this spot for lunch!

Yelp
Ok, but what did I expect from a japanese/chinese fusion restaurant next to a skii resort? The ingredients were super fresh but the execution was poor. Maybe they ran out of salt and pepper when we there but the food was sooooo bland. We literally had to ask them for hot sauce (thankfully they had sriracha and chili oil, not just frank's hot). The beef fried rice was actually really good once we added some spice to it. Also, the service was non existent. We basically could've walked out without paying since our waitress was MIA for like 10-15 mins after we were done eating. On the side note, I want to give a shout-out to the busboy who was extremely pleasant and attentive (promote him - y'all need servers like him)

Yelp
My friends and I had such a great time at this place. We ordered drinks and my margarita was great. The guy we had was so entertaining and the presentation and food were incredible! If you're in killington Vermont you gotta go to this hibachi place!!

Keisha A.

Yelp
I visited Sushi Yoshi for dinner, it was good The place seems busy with customers coming in and out. However, the waiters were slow when taking orders and serving. It took our waiter around 20+ mins to take our order. The food was nice but not my favorite because they tasted too sweet and not savory enough. My group ordered the Szechuan Chicken wok, Mongolian beef, Ktown Roll, and Shrimp shumai. The chicken tasted great but the sauce wasn't strong because it was too watery for my taste. However, I still prefer it than the Mongolian beef because the beef was too sweet. Their lava cake had too much flour making it taste like a pound cake. The shrimp shumai was my favorite though! Nonetheless, the ambiance was nice, the place was clean, and servers were helpful!

Yelp
Went to Sushi Yoshi on Friday night while attending Carnage at Killington. Started with the Alaska roll and Miso Won Ton Soup. The roll was delicious but the soup was so so. Our main meal was Pad Tai Chicken and Kung Po Chicken. Both were excellent. Place was tidy and clean. Frankly I only saw one fruit fly that someone mentioned and since it was unseasonably warm you'd expect some bugs. Service was excellent. When we're back we'll come again! Total cost with 2 beers and tip $87

Amy P.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Sunday and there was a short wait. Ambiance was nice and servers were accommodating. We ordered sushi which was decent and reasonably priced. Also had the hot and sour soup which was good. Close to Killington resort with free parking lot.

Zaya F.

Yelp
The food was not appetizing. It did not taste very good. When we had been here before we were heavily ignored by the staff. It was a relatively quiet environment.

Rinor V.

Yelp
Great place to grab some asian grub after some solid runs.. if not doing Hibachi (usually they are all the same in food flavor) Get the Szechuan style beef with vegetable fried rice and ask for the hot oil peppers man it adds flavor... and get the authentic Japanese Soda... a blast... the hot and sour soup was delish....

Pat R.

Yelp
The bartender wore this shirt. Sushi and wok entree were lovely. Cocktails were fantastic. The shirt alone set the tone for a 5 star lunch. Will be back.

Joe C.

Yelp
Good food, sushi and fried rice are top notch service felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant.

Maggie F.

Yelp
We were visiting in the area and wanted to give this place a try for dinner after seeing the good reviews. The amount of fruit flies in the place made it such an unpleasant experience we asked if we could have our sushi rolls to go. Service was great and our waitress was kind, we just couldn't stomach to eat in a restaurant where fruit flies were crawling all over the soy sauce and our drinks. I was disappointed that our sushi rolls did not taste fresh at all and honestly made us a little ill we couldn't finish it. I hope we were just a one-off but 160 dollars on one round of drinks and a few rolls ended with quite a bit of disappointment.

Andy C.

Yelp
Perhaps more for kids but it's hibachi. You'll get you onion volcano, 2 shots at catching some food with your mouth and some knife tricks. And then you get mounds of food, sufficient protein and veggies but definitely a lot of carbs. You can easily split your meal with someone but you'll pay $15 for the privilege. Can't comment on the rest of the menu but hibachi is a good time. You can be in and out in an hour but really there's no reason to linger.

Sue N.

Yelp
This restaurant was excellent when we used to go there!!! Haven't been there this past year but I'm sure it's still a great place to eat! They had a man cooking at a large table with excellent items to try!!! I recommend Sushi Yoshi as a great food place for you to try!

Rich H.

Yelp
We ate lunch here today, as always, food was delish. Big portions and very tasty. Great service. Restaurant is very dated insude, but its clean and great food!!

Jodi B.

Yelp
We had an awesome dinner here tonight! The restaurant lost power halfway through the meal but we were lucky enough to have Abi as our server and she made it happen! Abi, thanks for saving an otherwise nutty dinner. You were AWESOME!!

Judy F.

Yelp
Good size menu featuring Japanese, Chinese and Hibachi... They also have a couple of Tatami rooms ! There are lunch specials during the week from 11:30a-2:30p I'm a "sushiholic" and this is the best sushi I have experienced in the Rutland/Killington area ! I have yet to try their Stowe location but I'm sure it's quite similar. Great staff....huge amount of seating. 20 craft beers on tap and a full bar. For a while now they have been offering $2 Tuesdays on select draft beers...which is a great way to try something new first before spending $7-8 for either a 13 or 16oz pour. Good place... Highly recommended.

Tiffany B.

Yelp
The sushi here is great! There's a few things you should know in advance-the restaurant only takes reservations for the hibachi tables & hibachi menu is ONLY available at hibachi table (would be great if they offered take out or reg tables like most restaurants) The good news is the menu is huge & there's things like the teriyaki dinners to compare to hibachi is it's fully committed. The spicy crab salad is on the mild side & the house dressing is a bit watery (maybe just a off night?)

Beth J.

Yelp
Lots of people at Killington recommended this place to us so we have it a try . We were not that impressed. Meats in the sushi just did not taste fresh. The spicy Tuna was not great. Disappointed with some of the suggested items we ordered, not great flavor. Just not good and very expensive. Whole tray of leftover that ended up in the trash. Staff was very friendly

Brian F.

Yelp
Food was decent, but the service was absolutely awful. Waitress gave us literally 30 seconds to review the menu. She took our food order before our drink order, and the hibachi chef was already cooking our food before we got our drinks. We asked the waitress to slow down a little, but she told us they had other reservations they needed to accommodate. This was a terrible dining experience. The owner should be embarrassed.

Jean M.

Yelp
Very good, food was fresh and service was good. We enjoyed our spring roll, Miso soup and salad, had chicken teriyaki and it was really good. Would recommend to enjoy here. Atmosphere is cool.

Sherry C.

Yelp
If you have crazy restless kids, this is the place for you because they have private tatami rooms for you and your crazy kids to isolate yourself from the rest of patron... For us, this was perfect!! We came here for dinner on a Thursday night, thank God it wasn't crowded so we asked for a private room for dinning and they were nice enough to accommodate us. My kids LOVED being in the tatami room. You can take off your shoes and close the door and let your kids be loud without feeling embarrassed. The rest of the restaurant is setup with multiple levels, lots of seating choices, and a separate leve for bar. We were pleasantly surprised with vast choice of tap beer too. For food, we ordered the Yoshi roll (good but a bit too much cream cheese), spider roll, sushi & sashimi combo, and chicken lo-mein for the kids to share. Because my kids love miso soup, we ordered an extra one. Everything was great except when I got the check and noticed the small bowl of miso soup cost me $5! That's insane! Happy with everything else, but that price really irk me. I guess I need to check the price before I order next time! So peeps stay away from ordering extra miso soup and go with combo/dinner entrees so you don't make the same mistake I did. Enjoy!

Yelp
Another day, another trip to Sushi Yoshi. Still amazing as ever. Service was great. The atmosphere is inviting and upbeat. As the winter comes into full swing, the waiting service is timely and effective. Service always comes with a smile!

Leemor Y.

Yelp
We ordered takeout from here on Xmas eve. Looking at the menu online set my expectations, it seemed to have a bit of an identity crisis, offering Japanese, Chinese, and some random Thai items. I decided to go with a usually safe bet - veggie pad Thai, some veggie dumplings and a shrimp appetizer. Well, to be honest it was really all quite bland and underwhelming. They also missed giving us a seaweed salad we ordered (although it was probably a very busy night). One positive thing was the portions were pretty decent, so if you want to get full but don't really care about flavor depth, then put in your order.

Linda M.

Yelp
Great beer selection. We got the hibachi & they were very accommodating since we had party of 15. Kids on the one side, adults on the other. Hibachi chefs were awesome, entertaining and very friendly. I had the tuna martini & it was delicious. Fresh fish. I tried my friends tuna roll, it was ok, maybe too much rice. Overall a good dinner outing for a few families on vacation

Kim C.

Yelp
The food was bland and the hibachi chef was not good at all. Overpriced and poor quality! I won't be back!

J B.

Yelp
Food was good and fresh. We sat in one of the sunken booths which was fun. Service was good. Waiter was really polite and cute.

Mimi M.

Yelp
We were so excited to find sushi in killington and the reviews were quite appealing. When you enter the place you think burger and beer rather than Asian food. The decor and atmosphere really feels like a pub but that being said we loved it. The sushi and sashimi on the other hand were just ok. I actually was not adventurous enough to take a stab at the sashimi. They didn't look fresh enough. The sushi selection is big but mostly Americanized version of sushi's. They were a tad better freshness wise than the sashimi but that obviously doesn't make them any better. I'll give the place another try (sans sashimi) and update my review if needed.

Yahm R.

Yelp
Came here after a long day of driving and skiing. I didn't eat much all day which everyone knows makes dinner taste much better. I was excited by the prospect of dining here because I love Asian cuisine. However, our meals were just decent, really nothing special. It was also a bit pricey for what it was -- to be fair I guess I shouldn't have expected very much from a VT restaurant. I'm not saying it's inedible or anything like that, but it just didn't live up to my hopes or expectations. One thing I will say is that they note the credit card fee on the menu so you really can't fault them for that.

Timothy T.

Yelp
It was my first time trying this place. I Really enjoyed the egg roll and kani salad, highly recommend! The beef and broccoli and chicken and broccoli were ok. I wasn't highly impressed but the food was decent. The service was great and atmosphere is fun. I wouldn't be against eating here again but would probably try something different next time.

Polina K.

Yelp
4.3/5 If you can't tell this place is alllll over the place... Chinese, Japanese, Thai etc. At first we were very skeptical but after long day of skiing we decided to give it a quick try. We had miso soup, a few rolls, shrimp Lo Mein, chicken fried rice and a few drinks. Of course it is not the best sushi ever, but if you keep in mind that you are in the middle of a mountain, it is not bad after all! Shrimp lo mein and chicken fried rice hit the spot! Drinks were skimpy on alcohol. Bottom line: Great for families with kids or large groups. Definitely give it a try but don't expect it to be your every day dinner.

Janiene D.

Yelp
Food was awesome. Ordered the sashimi deluxe and it did not disappoint. Although it was slicked thick which I do not care for because of the texture...this was like butter and amazing. Great ambiance as well...this place is huge! Service was good except that everything came to the table very fast. We didn't order anything hot so it didn't matter.

Gary L.

Yelp
Excellent and who would expect to get sushi in VT. I'm from Miami. We had 6 people and got boats, rolls, you name it. Everything was fresh and very good. But expect when they say 90 minutes to pickup, they're not kidding. Even if you sit and wait at the bar.

Lydia D.

Yelp
Bland and expensive. Charges are always higher than advertised. They do not remove the surcharge when you pay in cash as advertised, either.

KJ K.

Yelp
My 3 star rating is really a 3.5. This place is solid but there's a bit missing in flavor. Service is great, we had Grace and she was very attentive. We enjoy the atmosphere and after a day of snowboarding, this place sets the right mood. It has a throwback hibachi/chinese restaurant vibe that I definitely enjoy. Full bar and fun crowd. We sat in one of the private rooms and I appreciate the hole under the table for the legs because I definitely do not want to sit Indian style for the whole meal. We ordered the unfiltered Sakai, beers and whiskey/ginger. They have a great beer selection on tap. For apps we got wonton soup (wontons we're good but a little cool on the pork inside the wonton) but overall pretty good- too much white pepper in the both, crab rangoons (my fav app) and steamed veg wontons (lacked a bit of flavor). For dinner we got sesame chicken, general tsos, veggie lomein and pork fried rice. Overall everything was pretty good. I wish they fried up the lomein more and added some more flavor. General tsos (6/10- it's crispy which is most important but the sauce is missing some flavor), sesame chicken (7/10 - this is a blander flavor in general so they came closer to hitting the mark). The pork fried rice they did proper (7.8/10 - they did it right). I recommend coming here with proper expectations. We're having a great time and the food was good enough.

Brielle D.

Yelp
The service was so good and the food was amazing I highly recommend Maddie was the best waiter and the kabatchi chef was so funny you could bring your friends family whoever and you will have a great time it's so fun and you will 100% want to go back the cooking is so fun to watch and the waitress and waiters bring your dinks out so quickly I hope if you read this you will want to go you will love it so much.

Ebie F.

Yelp
Came here with kids. Service was great. Food was great. And they totally understood my gluten free celiac needs.

Dusty M.

Yelp
Got into town late to visit with vacationing family and this place was recommended at the front desk of the timeshare. My uncle knew we liked Asian cuisine so that's where he brought us. The food was all delicious and the guys at the hibachi put on an awesome show! We were seated at a regular table beside the action but we still thoroughly enjoyed watching in between eating. soup, crab rangoons, orange chicken, sushi roll, lo mein and dumplings were all tasty!

Luke G.

Yelp
'I want to live here' 'how much is rent on the corner table?' just a few things thrown around the table at dinner

P.Y. H.

Yelp
Went here for takeout. order a chicken and salmon teriyaki with the teriyaki sauce on the side. Dish was smothered in teriyaki soup; cannot even refer to it as sauce. Each is to come with bowl of rice. NO RICE. 1 star for execution 3 stars for average food

Beantown T.

Yelp
I love the idea of this marriage of Sushi and Vermont IPA's. Love it. Execution was off, but had a fabulous time at their bar with some great selections of beer. Fiddlehead, Burlington Beer Co, 14th Star, etc Sushi needs help as it limped 'leaky' across the finish line like Greta Waitz in the boston marathon. I guess it depends on who is in the kitchen night to night. But we had a great time

Pia E.

Yelp
Yuuuuuummmmm!!!! This place is great. Wasn't expecting much from a landlocked sushi spot but the food here was excellent. Fresh fish, great service and fantastic chefs. Came back for more the next day!

Colleen M.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food is fresh and clean. They followed covid protocols. I Ordered the wok sautéed chicken with broccoli and added Szechuan sauce as per the waiters recommendation and it was exactly what I wanted. Tucker was a friendly, attentive host who provided insightful suggestions. My friend and I loved this restaurant so much we came back two days in a row after the slopes!

Lina S.

Yelp
Stars for ambiance, service and experience. Great drinks, tatami room is awesome. Food is pretty good, not much different than any standard sushi place. Not the best I've ever had but not bad either

Alan L.

Yelp
I really had high hopes for this restaurant as I had others who recommended the establishment. We went there tonight and the sushi was the third worst I have had. I had one of their signature rolls. It was as if there was fish with candy sauce on top. The regular rolls were ok - at best. The chief could not make the six pieces close to the same size. The rice was poor and the nori was not fresh. We had three apps one salad which was 50% dressing and 50% lettuce (no joke). The Miso soup had fish sauce in it so the only vegetarian soups was hot and sour which was non eatable because it was so thick and gloppy. The seaweed salad was honestly pretty good. I would save you money on Sushi and go to Yama Raman which had more Japanese flavors and a lower price tag.

Samantha G.

Yelp
The service here is terrible. We had booked a reservation but a couple of people in our party of 8 were going to be 20 mins late because of traffic and marathon in the way. We ordered appetizers to kill a few minutes and when those arrived the server got very impatient about needing us to order. She said she should have told us 5 mins prior that we had to order or we can't get hibachi. The 3 people who were on the way we're 5 mins away at this point. She would not wait and said we had to just guess what the rest of our party wants or they don't get hibatchi. In the meantime time a whole party of another table showed up and they could have started with them to fix the issue. So instead of properly managing the situation we were made to feel rushed, unimportant and then pushed out. If you want to relax and enjoy a meal with your family don't come here. They have not problem losing their customers instead of managing the situation. I've never been served hibachi so fast and frankly it wasn't even that good.

Yasha P.

Yelp
What a hidden gem in killington! So glad as we decided to stop by and give it a try. Our server was so nice. And the food was very tasty! Definitely recommend it if you are craving some good Asian food when it's chilly/rainy out. Definitely hits the spot.

Roseanne P.

Yelp
After a day of busting our butts on the slopes at Killington, we def needed food to recuperate! We had passed this restaurant a few times and wanted to try it. We got there around prime dinner time and the parking lot was packed. We had called earlier in the afternoon to see if we could put our name down for a regular table and not hibachi. They only take reservations for hibachi and not for regular tables. So if you want to do hibachi def call ahead and make a reservation. We wanted sushi and the other food on the menu. We expected a long wait but it ended being a 15-20 minute wait which wait which wasn't too bad at all. From the outside the restaurant looks very small but once you walk around, it's fairly large with lots of table and many sections of the restaurant. I was very surprised at the size. We were seated in this back section of the restaurant and walked into this secluded seating area. At first it looks like you're about to sit on the floor but it's actually like large booth seating area and each table is departed by an accordion curtain. And for larger groups the curtain can be lifted. It was a cool seating area. We got our menus and they had a wide variety of food--Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. We all ordered different appetizers and entrees. I had gotten the general tso chicken wings as an appetizer and 3 different sushi rolls. We had also ordered Mongolian beef, Pad Thai, Pork stir fry, sashimi sampler, kani salad, and spare ribs. The food came out pretty quick--we got our appetizers first. My cousin enjoyed the salad and the sashimi platter. She said the sashimi tasted very fresh. The general tso chicken wings were so good! It was everyone's favorite dish! Even though it was covered in sauce, the chicken had a nice crunch with every bite. Plus it was nice they gave us wet naps for after cause they did get a little messy. The spare ribs were pretty good too... they literally fell of the bone with every bite! Our entrees came out soon after. The sushi was delicious! The Mongolian beef had a slight spiciness to them but it was very good. The pad thai was good also. My boyfriend had enjoyed the stir fry! Lot of vegetables and pork pieces. We definitely were stuffed and we packed up a lot of our leftovers. We all definitely enjoyed our meal and service was okay. We had to ask for drink refills a few times but other than that we enjoyed our time at the restaurant. The parking is spacious as there is parking on both sides of the restaurant. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area again and maybe try hibachi next time!
