Great food! Got here at 10am so no queues thankfully, but it started building up when we were eating. Recommend the uni dishes for sure, the flavour is unbeatable, and far better than any other uni we've tried in Japan (and trust me, we've tried a lot). Blue fin tuna was also delightful, melting in your mouth akin to Wagyu. Overall, and in context of the rest of the restaurants in the area, the value is fantastic. However, a bit more expensive than expected, but we came here for the uni and tuna. Get ready to spend 5500-10000 JPY A must visit in Tokyo

I love this stall! They offer variety choices of seafood menus. We got tuna and Uni dons which were fantastic. Big portion, fresh seafood and very tasty in general. Free flow hot green tea in the cold temperature day is just perfect. The staff is helpful and understands English very well. English menu is also offered here.

Glad I found this place…they are open for dinner!!! The staff were very friendly and spoke English. I had the fatty tuna, salmon roe and uni bowl along with the grilled calamari and the grilled yellowfin tuna cheek/jaw (off menu). All were delicious.

A little busy but worth the wait! I'm not a big fan of Uni but glad I tried it here. All the other food options are delicious. You can also watch the chef expertly prepare each dish. The staff are also incredibly kind and welcoming!

Really yummy chutoro with a competitive price (4000 yen for bowl with 6 pieces). They were also really kind and allowed us to store our luggage by the doorway as we had already checked out of our hotel.

The price is quite expensive. The quality of the sushi is not good as price. cash only. With this amount, you can eat more sushi with much better quality in many other places. I don't really recommend it.

Most of the resuaurants in the Tsukiji are mainly facing visitors, which means the price will higher than regular. However, overall the Unidon here is about 6500 yen, regarding the size, it is a little higher than expected but considering the quality, which is fresh and sweet, is acceptable. You might face a long time during lunch time but no need to wait for dinner time. If you are around Tsukiji aroung dinner time, it's worthy to give it a try.

Fresh uni at its finest—creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. It’s a bit pricey, but you’re paying for top-tier quality that melts in your mouth. Every bite is pure indulgence, making it a must-try for uni lovers looking to treat themselves. Worth every penny!

Yelp
The best uni bowl over rice we had in Japan! However, make sure to plan ahead for the long wait time as this place is VERY popular. I'd recommend trying to arrive very early in the morning, although the line moves relatively fast.

Yelp
Sushikuni did not move! Best Uni you can get at the old Tsukiji market! * * * EXPERIENCE * * * It was sad to see many popular restaurants from the original Tsukiji market moved to Toyosu market, but there are still some gems staying - including Sushikuni. Arrived at around 9:30am and there was a line already, signed in and got seated an hour later. There are a lot of sashimi rice bowl options but we went straight to the uni bowl. * * * FOOD * * * Uni Bowl: A+ First the quantity - the amount of Uni was very generous! Photos don't do the justice, that bowl sitting in front of me full of golden uni was eye glazing. The quality was also top notch - sweet and fresh with nice texture. Of course the rice also played an important role which was slightly sweet with some vinegar taste. The amount of uni vs rice was about 1.5:1, a very satisfying meal. Don't be turned away by the line, treat yourself a uni bowl from this place, you will not regret it!

Yelp
Decided to tour the old Tsukiji Fish Market on our last day in Tokyo and ended our trip the way we started, with an uni don bowl. We stopped by around 9:15am to put our names down and patiently waited until 10:00am for it to open and we were quickly served since they asked for our order prior to opening. Loved the efficiency of getting us in, serving us and then ushering us out so they can serve their next customers as the line started to get ridiculously long during our meal. This time around we each got our own bowl. For ¥3800, it was a steal. Nowhere in the states can I get this much uni for that price! It was truly an orgasmic feeling of happiness with so much fresh, creamy, tasty, yummy goodness! The layer upon layer of various types of uni was a dream come true just made my food-a-thon trip from great to extraordinary.

Yelp
Sushikuni was recommended by my friend and it did not disappoint. Came here before 10:30am and there was already a line. The Ikura and seafood bowl was very fresh. The uni don is sooo good. The uni literally melts in your mouth. Would definitely recommend if you're in the Tsujiki market area.

Yelp
Came here right when it opened and there were hits and misses: A Japanese friend recommended this place for their uni don, but maybe due to inconsistency in quality, my bowl didn't feel quite fresh, there were pieces that just tasted odd. The scallop were not as tender as they usually would be. The sweet shrimps were great though, as well as the fatty tuna.

Yelp
This place has the best uni (sea urchin) rice bowl! It's also where the dish was invented. The uni is so fresh and SWEET! Not fishy at all. You really do get A LOT OF uni for what you pay. Yes, they are very generous. They would even give you extra uni on the side. Tip: if you want to avoid the line, go there around dinner time.

Yelp
We love the sushi lunch set! It was a random find but we were glad that we decided on this restaurant. The fish was super fresh and portions were big! Love it.

Yelp
Went to this place to try their famous "kobore uni don (overflowing sea urchin rice bowl)". It was delicious and a must-try for any uni lover! ここのこぼれウニ丼は、ウニ好きにはオススメします!

Yelp
Recommended by my friend who's a fellow uni lover and a local. We checked this place out on a Friday during their lunch hours. Luckily we made it on time - they open in the morning until around 3PM, then close shop until dinner time. We opted for their famous unidon (sea urchin rice bowl), which was layers upon layers, it seemed, of super fresh uni (from different regions) on top of a bed of seasoned rice. The chef was also kind enough to give us extra uni with a side of wasabi, ginger, and lime. This uni, literally, melted in your mouth. It was so delicious. Highly recommended!
