Went for a big omakase (their middle variant), which is currently 100€. All around a delicious meal, with a special mention to the two warm fish-dishes that were simply outstanding. If I had to nitpick on something it's that I wasn't the biggest fan of the rice in the Nigiri Sushi.

We took the Omakase menu-big. There are several courses in Omakase menus, including starters, soup, sashimi, tempura, sushi, grilled fish, dessert...etc, ingredients differ from time to time. All in all we enjoyed the meal here but found it a bit pricy. For people who loves japanese food and want to have new experience in restaurants, this one is not a bad choice. Staff were friendly. Conveniently there is a parking garage directly next to the restaurent; bathrooms are however located in the sector of hotel hall (still in the same building).

We stopped by for lunch, which giant disappointing. We had two set lunches Euro 28 per set. One of the lunches is a sushi set, and the other one is a sashimi rice bowl. They have the same fish but present in a different way. The Asian lady who served us was very friendly! We also saw other people order the tempura, a pretty huge portion.

This restaurant is inside Westin. So expect high price I had 8 pcs salmon sashimi platter, 4 pcs salmon sushi, miso soup and small tempura, which contained 1 prawn tempura and 5 pcs of various veg. Salmon dishes were delicious. Prawn in tempura was also nice. Overall good place to visit in Frankfurt, if you have money. €91 with 1 cold sake. For just 1 person

In General very very bad experience. 1. Food: At first I want to mention that overall food more or less was tasty. 2. Service: awful. 2.1 Reservation and welcome: I reserved table about 1 week ago. Spelled my name letter by letter. When we came woman who welcomed us was very unfriendly. She shouted that i don’t have reservation, meanwhile she just wrote my name wrong - no any letter right... 2.2 Service during dinner: We were waiting to order our meals 20minutes. After everything was served together. We even couldn’t eat normally. Absolutely not friendly waiters. The main idea of Restaurant that they are cooking in front of you, but they told they will cook not in front of us, they will cook on next table... 2.3 Cook: Looks like our cook is tired of everything. Everything was falling from his hands. 3. Toilets: Toilets are Westin Hotel toilets - dirty like hell. In the sinks broken glasses, dirt and very bad smell. Not even close to to Restaurant which is in Michelin Guide. Place NOT to be!!!

The lunch menu is def a better deal than dinner, and a lot more choices for set meals. The main dish comes with salad, 2 other sides and miso soup. Unagi don is delicious. Highly recommend it to all the unagi-lovers.

One of best Japanese restaurant in Frankfurt. Also mentioned in Michelin guide 2017. Very crowded place especially during the lunch hour on Saturday. A table reservation is possible but only one week in advance and also only for 12PM opening time.

Yelp
I have tried a number of Japanese restaurants in Frankfurt and Sushimoto is one of your better choices. It is a bit expensive as it is located next to the Westin Hotel, but the quality is good. Lunch is a great option as the prices average from 13Euros - 20Euros. The restaurant is quite large and offers excellent service. Our meals were very quickly delivered. The menu is large with options of sushi, teppan or noodle dishes. All the dishes we tried (shashimi, sushi and grilled salmon) were well prepared. Overall a very solid restaurant.

Yelp
I was recommended this place by a restaurateur in Munich as a place for great Japanese food and he was right. The downside is that it is located in a big hotel, which will probably keep me from coming here. It also makes the restaurant more expensive for what it is. I would say the value for money is about a two star rating here and it being in a big hotel has a lot to do with it. I usually avoid big hotel restaurants for that reason ;-)) It's a big Japanese restaurant with a bit of everything. They have teppanyaki tables, sushi and sashimi counter, izakaya food and lots of noodle and soup options. There is something here for most people. The best part is that the quality is extremely high and fresh. It was full of Japanese people when we arrived (assuming hotel guests) and we were seated promptly. They have a no dogs policy however as I phoned and spoke to them they allowed us to bring our dog to the restaurant, a wonderful gesture deserving of a star. Service was also very friendly and polite and staff spoke multiple languages. Everything we ate was really good. I had the Zaru Soba (cold buckwheat noodle) and it was amazing. My soft shell crab could have been cooked better but again done very well. Sashimi was super fresh and excellent and the cold sake generous. Despite the fact that it is located in a hotel and expensive I would come back here again, if nothing else, for a teppanyaki meal :-) You can also choose an Omakase menu and let the chef surprise you ;-)) A great place for Japanese food in Frankfurt.

Yelp
Went here with my mom, and the food was great. I have been to a few sushi places, however nothing beats their lunch menu. The reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that as a student. It is a bit out of my price range, so I will have to wait for my parents to come back into town to eat here again.

Yelp
my favourite central Frankfurt japanese Restaurant. You get your perfect luchch such as Nigiri sushi, Chirashi Sushi or Sushimi for 17,- € which is a very fair price for the quality! But Sushimoto offers more than only Sushi. What´s making the space special is their Teppanyaki master. It is a pleasure watching him preparing your barbecue meat or fish. find their menue here: http://www.sushimoto.eu/menu21.html

Yelp
Excellent sushi quality. It's expensive but it worthy it. That was properly real sushi. I am on the only non-Japanese here.

Yelp
A high-class restaurant, if I may call it, based on the price level and the location (appended to the Westin hotel). Sushimoto has choices for sushi dishes and teppanyaki (hot plate) dishes, which is a rare combination for Japanese food restaurants in Frankfurt, I believe. The quality and the taste of the dishes are good in general, but are quite expensive. You could easily spend more than 30 euros and only to have a small piece of roasted fish with plain rice. Lunch set menu has more reasonable prices, but usually the restaurant is over crowded during lunch time. Sometimes the serving of hot plate dishes is extremely slow (over 30 minutes), when the restaurant is crowded. But if you have got time to wait, and if you have got enough budget to spend for a nice meal, go for the Sushimoto set and you will enjoy a hearty combination of luxurious meal.

Yelp
Best sushi experience in frankfurt so far: we ordered one of the set sushi/maki combo menu and it had fresh uni. The chef opened them as ordered. The rice quantity to amount of fish was good. The fact that it is at a hotel is offputting at first, but still, one of best options in town. They also have benihannas style tepanyaki but we didnt try it.

Yelp
This was the first time I had authentic Japanese food and I can't praise it enough. The Teppinyaki is cooked in front of your eyes (beware, you may loose a few hairs though) and is delicious as was the sushi. The only reason why I have given it 4 instead of 5 stars is the cost. We shared a sushi starter and 2 main courses (as we weren't very hungry) and including a bottle of wine it came to 145 Euro which is quite steep in my eyes. Perhaps it's not unusual for Frankfurt, I don't know but it was dear to my pocket. Still, if you don't mind paying the extra or want to treat yourself, then I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is absolutely divine!

Yelp
We tried both a la cart nigiri sushi and teppenyaki in this restaurant. Sushi was pretty mediocre given its high price. To be more specific sushi rice was good, but the fish cuts were very thin, quality of the cut was not very good and fish did not seem fresh. Watching teppenyaki chef is quite fun, he seems like he knows what he is doing though meat cut was not great. There were pieces of unchewable parts in it. I watched the chef quite a while. Most plates contain a lot of butter besides the vegetable oil to cook and the natural fat in the meat. Butter increases the taste but for a high health cost in my opinion. Well in the overall food was ok, watching teppenyaki chefs were interesting, location was good, decoration was ok, price was very high. If it is Nobu or similar it is ok to pay a high price but not in an ordinary restaurant like this.

Yelp
Over priced, mediocre sushi. For what it's worth, it could be better... Japanese dining is an art: -an expression of visionary and tasteful delights. B+ on taste and freshness, but failed on the presentation and the quality of sushi. Sushi nigiri should touch the plate with the tail, not floating on the snowball of rice. (You can see the images on other candid reviews). Definitely for Frankfurt standards, 45 euros for deluxe sushi set is a bit over priced.

Yelp
Will only write about the sushi as I was only here so far for sushi take out. But that was the best sushi I had so far in Frankfurt. Until I came here, I really, really missed New York-quality sushi, but here the quality is extraordinary. The prices are high, but it is no wonder that sushi at other places that are cheaper tastes like cold rubber.

Qype User (skyemp…)

Yelp
Excellent quality sushi. I have been there several times, and have never been disappointed. Even my parents who were visiting from Japan were very satisfied with the freshness of the sushi and the taste. I don't understand how so many other horrible sushi places in Frankfurt could have the same rating as Sushimoto. Yes, the price for dinner is high, but that's just how it is in Frankfurt, if you want high quality sushi.
