I’ve traveled extensively and eaten sushi around the world, but Sushi Mu in Athens served me the best sushi of my life.
The highlights were the mackerel, red mullet, and scallop – each piece was a masterclass in freshness and balance. The rice was outstanding: fluffy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor, elevating every bite into something extraordinary.
What truly sets Sushi Mu apart is not only the food but also the people. The chef and the entire team are warm, friendly, and genuinely make you feel comfortable, which adds to the whole experience.
At €55, it’s remarkable value for money. Considering that many takeaways charge €30 for mediocre mayonnaise-covered rolls, Sushi Mu is on another level entirely.
One important note: you’ll need to book a table in advance – and it’s absolutely worth it. Sushi Mu isn’t just a sushi spot; it’s where you discover what sushi is really meant to be. Highly recommended.
