Sushimou

If you are a sushi lover then this is the place to be. Everything was so fresh! It was also really nice to see them make everything in front of you. We also tried some new things which made it even more fun. They were also considerate about my allergies! The vibe was good, I did feel a little bit like I was in Japan. A reservation at this spot is a must!

Superb sushi - beautifully fresh, made with artistry and care. The set menu may seem restrictive, but it is all so well-chosen and made, you won’t feel that way when you’re eating. We particularly enjoyed the Greco-Japanese fusion in such dishes as red mullet sushi, bracketed with the head and tail of the fish, deep fried and delightfully crispy, and served with Cretan tsigoudia. Everyone working there was welcoming and kind, from the chef himself to everyone on staff, they seemed to take a justified pride in the food and be happy to see you enjoy it. A wonderful meal. As one of us said “if Japan and Greece ever go to war,all we have to do is bring the leaders to eat here, and we’ll have peace before the first plate is eaten.”

Wow!!! This is how the real Japanese Omakase menu should look like! All the fish are super fresh and high quality. The tastes of everything were amazing, and it really feels like you are in Japan for almost 2 hours. The crew of the place are super nice, and the head chef is great and professional. If you love sushi, this is the place for you in Athens.

There are no places on earth where you can get omakase of this quality for the price. Fantastic fresh fish and starter with great cocktails too. The space in intimate and stylish. The chef is really engaging and friendly and clearly strives to give the diner a great experience. Absolutely worth going - I've already been twice.

This was one of the best sushi menu. The Greek chef has created a complete menu that combines so many flavors that leave your palette satisfied. The best: surely all plates were top but IMO the red mullet sushi and fried parts were a surprise. The flat: I can’t say that any of the plates was flat! Sushimou is a must!

Absolutely fantastic, I was happy to bring my family to Sushimou after I've enjoyed this place three years ago. We were at the last sitting in 2024 and returned for the first sitting in 2025. As it's Omakase, menu was different, but my favorite (Oshi sushi with a cherry on top) were there both times! Love the service, our toddler got a gift from the chef. Both inside and outside sitting are great. The price is unbeatable, food is fantastic, service is caring, location is amazing, everything is perfect.

I’ve traveled extensively and eaten sushi around the world, but Sushi Mu in Athens served me the best sushi of my life. The highlights were the mackerel, red mullet, and scallop – each piece was a masterclass in freshness and balance. The rice was outstanding: fluffy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor, elevating every bite into something extraordinary. What truly sets Sushi Mu apart is not only the food but also the people. The chef and the entire team are warm, friendly, and genuinely make you feel comfortable, which adds to the whole experience. At €55, it’s remarkable value for money. Considering that many takeaways charge €30 for mediocre mayonnaise-covered rolls, Sushi Mu is on another level entirely. One important note: you’ll need to book a table in advance – and it’s absolutely worth it. Sushi Mu isn’t just a sushi spot; it’s where you discover what sushi is really meant to be.
