The service is both fast and friendly, both for smaller and larger groups and is very accommodating. It's a great spot when you're in the neighborhood for a hearty breakfast. Whether you're craving pancakes or a classic omelette and biscuits and gravy, Susie's delivers comfort food excellence!

A rare pleasure to find a diner like Susie's. It was a full house this morning, but you would never know it from the servers or the cooks. Food was excellent. Servers were quick to take your order and always there to refill a cup of coffee and check on your needs. Prices were reasonable. It was not loud or noisy, as one would expect for a full house. I'll be back!

We love Susie’s! We are there bright and early every Saturday. Delicious food. Generous portions. Outstanding service. Homey atmosphere I love the Belgium waffles, omelettes.

Comfortable atmosphere, good food and service. Roomier than most with good acoustics so you can have a conversation and easy parking.

Where else would you go for breakfast? Clean comfortable and homelike. We take my mom at least once per week. The servers are so sweet. The food is consistently great. We have never had to wait for a table. We have never had to wait for a coffee. It just keeps on coming. It’s the best! 🥰

This place had the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had in my life. Friendly staff quick and attentive to our needs . Got us a booth fast, food arrived in a timely manner. Will be coming back every weekend with my wife.

I came in because my Clients with Intellectual disability’s chose this place for his desire to eat. Granted I am aware of the possibility for an establishment to reserve the right to serve us as both of my clients bring their lunch bags with them however I make it necessary for us to buy out of respect for the establishment. I also make a point for such places that do serve us to be given donations for the establishments. Right now we are donating a Grand of supplies to one such of these places. Thus far we have done this at Dennys, IHOP, the pancake circus, and many other places with no problem for the CARE that’s being given to us. The prices to all these places we go are the same as the menu here. We were kicked out after ordering a coffee & expected to bill. I wasn’t even able to drink it nor did my client make his order. All workers paid no regard to the care of us. So I took my client to eat at the Chipotle which he bought a full meal. In which we would have bought more but because of the absolute haste & pretense the opportunity for a new opportunity here for them was not had. This is sad because overall I would have been a frequent customer here. Not only did they reprimand me 4 times but it was in front of all the customers eating & they were all worried about how we were treated! Do better! I didn’t pay for my coffee because I was kicked out with two individuals with disabilities before I could drink it! Oh also it was raining hard too! We couldn’t even order.

Susie's is a Granite Bay icon! The ambiance is casual and comfortable. Friendly efficient service and the food is always good- especially breakfast!

I've always passed this place but never stopped to try it out, but I can genuinely say it's probably one of my top breakfast places in the area now. Went there on Father's Day with my father in law at noon like some idiots but the wait was only about 14 mins. The restaurant was packed but service was fairly quick and attentive based on the circumstances. The food was very mom & pop-ish which I absolutely love. It's not the prettiest thing nor does it have some sort of fancy spice or seasoning where they charge you $5 more because they used aoli instead of mayo. Items were surprisingly well priced with no shrinkflation servings. I got the meat lovers omelette, wife and FIL got chicken fried steak. I'm not going to say it was the best food in the world, but this food tastes like a home cooked meal. No complaints, everything was seasoned pretty well, they weren't shiesty with the gravy like some places and the portions filled you up. In a world where I feel like restaurants in general are no longer worth going to and paying for, this place was pleasantly surprising. 4 stars for food, bumped up to 5 stars for service and value

An absolute treasure in the dining scene! This spot has been a go-to for us for years! Nestled near Folsom Lake, it's a bustling hub of deliciousness. The portion sizes are consistently generous, and I have yet to find a dish I didn't like from here. Despite the crowd, the cozy booths add to the charm. The 49er skillet steals the show every time. And those buns they bake in-house for lunch specials? Simply divine!

My first time at this location. Sat morning 8 am. My thoughts are as follows: The good: I ordered the chili cheese omelette, which was excellent. Just a little extra spicy today which I preferred. The country potatoes were evenly cooked, no matter the size of the chunk of potato which I particularly appreciate. The sourdough toast was tasty. The coffee was good, and I never saw the end of my cup, which is as it should be. The service was excellent. I sat at the counter and had no issues. The atmosphere was casual, and the staff seemed comfortable and happy. The bad: (very minor). Only one slice of sourdough toast came with the meal. Probably because it's very thick, but I would have liked more toast with my breakfast. The ugly: N/A Overall, an excellent showing by this restaurant and its staff. I would gladly eat here again.

We have been customers here a very long time and sadly our last visit was a bad one. We came in early-ish on a Sunday morning for breakfast, and the restaurant was about half full. We were seated right away. We both order the same exact thing every time we come here.... This visit BOTH of our orders came out wrong. Like way wrong. The waitress fixed my husband's meal, but didn't offer to remake mine. I didn't want a fuss, so I ate my wrong food. The food not only was made incorrectly but the potatoes were hard and crusty like they'd been sitting there a long time. The biscuit was served dry. Coffee was brought to the table. We had to ask for cream after about ten minutes. The ketchup bottle was empty so I got up and got a new one from the waitress station. No coffee or water refills. Our waitress left our food on the table and put the check down on the table at the same time. No follow up..... If this was our first visit, we would most likely not return.

I've been there twice, so not a regular, but really like the atmosphere and booths that provide a little privacy. Today Bree was our server and she was awesome, as was the previous server. Service is wonderful and the food comes out quickly. Now the food. I've only had breakfast and it was good, but not special. If a restaurant has gravy, it needs to be spectacular, and theirs is not. Generally a lack of flavor, needing more seasoning. I will say our coffee was kept fresh, the sourdough toast is great, soft and thick, my wife's potatoes were cooked evenly perfect, and I asked for crispy hashbrown and that's what I got. I would still go back, but there is a little room for improvement.

My family came here to eat, and they liked it and seen the reviews. I thought it was going to be delicious.It was not.the food was so bland hospital food tastes better. First time here. There is a lot of parking all around the restaurant. We were seated right away on a Friday at around 9:30am. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I love that you can order lunch that early in the day. I opted for oatmeal but the chicken sandwich was a close second. The oatmeal was very good and came with milk, brown sugar, walnuts and raisins. I also had tea and they brought me a list of choices as there were so many options. My husband had the BLT. It came with an option of about 6 sides ie; onion rings, Curley fries, hash browns, coleslaw, etc. Hewas very happy with his meal. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

The food is Absolutely out of this world. My favorite food is the pancakes. Every time I've been they've been extremely busy but they seem to stay on top of their tables, making sure they are doing ok.. need refill? Food ok?, etc

Breakfast is good. We've been there 5 times since moving to Granite Bay. The reason I won't go back and this may sound silly is that the wait staff makes the toast. I was a waitress for years when I was in my 20's and I know how dirty your hands can get in the profession. I know every time they touch a piece of bread before it goes in the toaster and after it comes out the bread is being touched by dirty hands. I just can't get past that and maybe most of you can.

Burnt Mini corn dogs. Brought it to multiple staff members attention but they would not fix the order.

Food at Suzie's is horrible. I knew better than to go there, but because some family went I thought I would try again. I did not realize just how bad they are. They do not have butter on the premises. When I asked for butter, I was served margarine, without their making a distinction. If you like tasteless, artery clogging, seed oils and trans fats (banned in Europe for human consumption), Suzie's is the place to go. I will never set foot in that place as long as I live, which is now shorter having been stupid enough to eat there. BTW, the blonde lady server was attentive, but the high school girls they have working there look more like a confused little mob, unable to figure out what exactly is their role there--like free electrons trying to find an atom to cling to. A little training would go a long way. But even more important is the food. How they fill that place is as mysterious to me as quantum physics.

Love me some Susie breakfast. Amazing, tasty, generous portions. Bernie, the cook, Sam, Monica, Brie, all the waitresses, and hostess are so sweet and kind. Plenty of coffee refills, but all those who make this all come together whether I've mentioned by name or not~~come together and make this restaurant outstanding and you'll get the same 5 STAR service every single time you go. Bernie makes it all tasty, every single time we go. "Bernie", your putting the weight back on me, which is a very good thing.

This place used to be good but it is downright pathetic now. Servers are apathetic and the food is definitely not home cooking. It's a bummer. I do remember when the food was freshly prepared with quality ingredients and the servers were friendly and attentive like old timey waitresses.

Ummm! What the hell happened to this place? I don't know if it's Covid aftermath or something else but the service we received today was AWFUL! We walked in and was told to pick any booth. We sat down waited for a bit before our very COLD waitress asked what we want to drink. We both asked for coffee and apple juice for our son. That young waitress never came back to refill our coffee the whole time! I had to asked a different waitress for coffee. Our waitress spent most of her time just standing around looking confused as what to do next! Our food was mediocre and a fare cry from the last time we were there. The ambiance was very cold and uninviting from the minute we walked in. The staff absolutely COLD and not very friendly! I paid for my food and had to asked if they switched management cause I couldn't help but wonder what happened! We are from Granite bay and really love to support locally owned business instead of big chain restaurants but this type of service changed that. We won't be back and will be taking our business somewhere else. This is a BIG difference from the last time we went there. I get we all have our "off" days but you still have a job to do. If you don't feel like serving the public than may I suggest working from home. It's a shame cause this is not the first time we experienced this from the same group of ladies working there. We decided to give a second chance today and well here I am writing this review after all that. We are locals and will continue to invite family and friends to support local businesses but we will warn them about this place moving forward. Pretty expensive to get 1 and 1/2 cup of coffee in 60 plus minutes we were there. We paid for our food with a side of cold and distant waitress!

Nice spot for a diner breakfast. Portions are HUGE and easily shared between two people. Kid's breakfast is a huge pancake, egg and one meat. Kitchen sink omlet is just that. With hash browns and toast expect to have leftovers if you don't share. Breakfast burrito was ok but probably wouldn't order again.

Great service and food. I like going to places that have a lot of regulars. We sat near the door and everyone that came in the staff knew by name. We'll be back. The menu has lots of choices but it's not overwhelming big.

Susie's Country Oaks Cafe is a lovely breakfast and lunch diner in Granite Bay. I'd highly recommend Susie's over any chain dinner any day. They have a large menu with tons of great options, especially for someone like myself who isn't a big breakfast eater. The food is great and very plentiful. The staff is also friendly and the service is always quick. On weekends it can get pretty busy, however there are tons of seats available and they always have enough staff to handle the rush. If you're looking for a new go-to breakfast/lunch joint, then I'd highly recommend giving Susie's a go! Parking: Tons of parking right out-front. Susie's is located in the same parking lot as Ace Hardware and Bank of America.

Ate breakfast here while traveling. It's clearly a local gathering spot and that's fun to be a part of. Arrived at 930 am and seated immediately. Spacious comfortable booths, our waitress April was very friendly and efficient. I wanted to try the blueberry almond whole wheat pancakes that April said were popular and I definitely wasn't disappointed!

So impressed by this experience!!! After a lot of disappointment with breakfast dining, my expectations were pretty low. I was met with fast service, and excellent waitress, and a seat right away. I asked for the Turkey Delight with a couple modifications, and it was honestly one of the BEST sandwiches I've had, as a deli connoisseur. It came on a buttery, smooth croissant, with a perfectly ripe avocado mixed nicely with dressing, shredded cheese, and high quality meat. My salad was great and the ranch was spectacular. I am so happy to be surprised, especially on Mother's Day when they had a lot to manage!!

The worst service ever we were waiting for our food for about 45 min and it was kinda cold. We payed for fry's that were 5 dollars and only get 10 pieces. Also Big P only get one piece of bacon.

The food is ok. My rating has nothing to do with any measures related. With the pandemic. It just was ok. I have had better food from smaller places. I usually order and wait for the food and the two times I have tried the food, it seems over cooked or reheated too many times. Specifically, the biscuits were dry and the gravy was flavorless. The omelet I ordered was over cooked. On the positive side, if you like the food the portions were huge. I was not hungry after only eating half of the food.

Susie must think good home cooking means hash out of a can and Minute Maid frozen orange juice. The food is mediocre and the coffee is like dish water. Tried the place twice. I won't be back.

Susie's Country Oaks Café has a very simple, straight-forward motto and mission in life: Country Cookin' ... which pretty well sums up this wonderful eatery in Granite Bay, CA, just east of Roseville. We actually visited this fine restaurant a couple of years ago, and I'm now just getting around to posting the review on Yelp. My wife and I arrived at a lightly seated on a mid Saturday morning, and we were invited to sit anywhere we chose. We looked over the breakfast menu - Susie's is open for breakfast and lunch - I chose the "Ranch Hand" breakfast, which is definitely a full breakfast, and she chose a smaller breakfast of "Southern Scramble." The "Ranch Hand" breakfasts include biscuits and gravy - my de facto standard side dish - two fried eggs, over easy, home fries (Susie's-speak for potatoes,) and linguica. Oh!!!! The breakfast was sooo good! Sharlene ordered a half order of "Southern Scramble" which was a scramble dish, served in a small frying pan, consisting of scrambled eggs with diced sausage, mushrooms, onions, topped with a combination of jack and cheddar cheese. She opted for home fries and, rare for her, biscuits and gravy. Sharlene commented how the biscuits were light and fluffy, and how good the gravy was... I concur with her observation! Great breakfast! Both of our orders were cooked perfectly, as ordered, and were both filling and delicious. Combine great food with friendly service, and Susie's rates a solid 4 Starts on Yelp.

The food is good, the wait staff are amazing, a great value for the money. If you're looking for white tablecloth fancy-schmancy, this isn't the place. If you want a good breakfast or lunch with friendly servers in a relaxed atmosphere, you should definitely visit.

Walked up to Susie's Country Oaks Cafe' again this morning for breakfast before the heat overtakes everything. Really nice with their new outside patio. Good food, fair prices, excellent service and staff. They're hustling trying their best to comply with the ever-changing covid rules. And doing an incredible job. Support them, give them a try. Food was legit! Dang I was hungry and the food satisfied. I had the chicken fried steak, eggs, hashbrowns and toast. The bomb! My friend had the southwest omlette and it looked really good. He devoured it. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY GO BACK AND WILL GO BACK

Okay I decided to give this place another shot as they are so local to me but beyond disappointed I was for sure! Asking for extra crispy bacon and The Omelette came out with raw bacon in it. Really! The waitress not once came over to refresh our coffee or our Waters. It's a shame that a place in such a great neighborhood is Granite Bay is more like a restaurant you would find in a ghetto. Sure wish they would train their staff how to treat customers

They told us over the phone there was outdoor dinning. When we arrived 30 minutes later they said they were short staffed and there wasn't outdoor dinning available. Was super disappointed since we had driven 20 plus minutes and needed outside for our dog and kids. Can't even recommend since we didn't even have opportunity to eat here.

It had been years since I last visited Susie's in Granite Bay and I remembered it being a friendly establishment with good food at fair prices. After my most recent visit, nothing has changed. We visited on a crowded Sunday morning and were seated quickly. My dad swears by this place as he and his cronies hit this place up frequently after golf. The menu has all the usual breakfast specialties and my pop swears by their Benedicts but I wanted to go simple. I ordered the Rocky Mountain Scramble. As the name states is is a scramble loaded with ham, onion, bell pepper and tomato. The mountain part of the name might refer to the unbelievable amount of cheddar that is applied to the top of this beast or a play on a Denver Omelette which comes with the same ingredients. You decide. It also came with Hasbrowns and Biscuits and Gravy. The Hashbrowns were nice and crunchy but a bit too oily. The B&G featured a flaky biscuit but a gravy that did not have a lot of flavor. The flavor was best described as warm and was easily my least favorite item of my order. You get a ton food for your dollar and it was easy to see why they were so crowded.

For a hearty breakfast, enjoy a meal at this country cafe. The wheat toast has just the right crispy after toasted. Loved the hashbrowns thought it was a bit oily. The Malibu frittata was just right. I also had lemon tea and was just the right amount in refill.

Our favorite local go to restaurant for breakfast. Always friendly faces and full cups of coffee! Food is consistently delicious and affordable. I'm a ranch hand or omelette guy. Ate on the new outside patio last week and it was very pleasant.

I live in Granite Bay and firmly believe in supporting local business. Having said that, I was totally disappointed in my dining experience at Susie's. First off there was no friendly welcome in. It felt like oh no not another customer. Our ordered drinks arrived promptly but after that it went downhill even more. While waiting for our food, we had to ask another server for a second cup of coffee. Once again no smile or friendliness of any kind. When the food finally arrived my bacon was burnt! The quality of the food was just not there in comparison to previous visits. Is there a new owner or do all the employees need some serious training? During this aftermath of Covid, there are challenges. It's time to step it up if you truly want business. Today this cafe failed miserably by not performing basic good service or providing an enjoyable meal. It's a shame to think I have to go outside my community for a nice dining experience.

We eat here every other weekend, I always get the chili size because I love the chili here, it's slightly sweet and a bit spicy. Excellent for the burger. My husband orders the linguica and eggs. We always have to ask them not to burn the linguica. If it wasn't for that (and that they bring my salad with the meal instead of before) I would give them 5 stars. That last part is a little my fault for not asking for it to come first. but they also should know that no one wants their food to get cold while eating their salad. The waitresses are all polite and quick to make sure everything is good. Try them out,
