Sustenance Farm & Akshaya Farm Kitchen

This felt like the most organic experience in Auroville. This place has a farm to table vibe and is located beside a farm. It has a very simple and clean setup. Since it is run by a lady, you need to give her some time after you order. The food is freshly prepared and tasted really good. The price of food is very affordable. And if you are a pet lover, you will be able to enjoy your time with some of these little ones. I highly recommend this place.

Sustenance Farm Kitchen in Auroville is hands down the best spot for delicious and healthy food in the area. I visited and was blown away by the amazing flavors and wholesome meals they offer. The traditional South Indian food served here is simply divine, and it's evident that it's made with a lot of care and kindness. It felt nourishing and satisfying, without being too heavy. I enjoyed my experience at Sustenance Farm Kitchen so much that I made it a regular stop whenever I had my scooter. Sometimes I even came for both breakfast and lunch! That's how much I love this place. Simply the best South Indian Food in Pondi. We had been here for lunch and there was only meals as an option. It’s rare to find food that is this delicious and nutritious at the same time. When we went, there was Millet rice with Bitter gourd, a delicious veg curry, green leaf curry, a simple sweet, sambhar, butter milk, curd. Normal white rice was also available. The ambience is great. It’s surrounded by raw greenery around. Parking is plenty. Definitely recommended ✅ Visited and reviewed on 26.03.2024

Really like the food here. Feels very homely & I especially like the option of getting red rice with my thali. Hygeine is lacking though, the toilets were in really bad condition with water stagnating in the floor. The staff can be rude and unwelcoming at times.

There is only one item on the menu and that is thali ( set menu meals) . This place serves amazing food , usually one more more rice items with some curry and dal . The food is healthy and delicious . They use Very less oil . This reminds one of collage hostel , so do not expect sofa / comfortable seats . But that delicious food makes up for everything .

A Peaceful Space where you could have Organic home cooked food

Sustenance farm is a place surrounded by a farm with a tranquil atmosphere. They serve the best local food which is made from the farm fresh vegetables grown organically. The crowd coming here are all newly relocated people who can't cook at home and need homely food at reasonable rates. I had red rice with a variety of sambhar and rassam, eggplant curry and beetroot salad. The taste of the food here is yummy and homelike. If you are planning to stay for a long time in Auroville and can't survive all the cafe food everyday, this is the place for you.

Yummiest, healthiest, colourful food served on banana leaf with so much of love. A highly recommended vegetarian food. All juices are very fresh. Apparently most of food is grown in there sustenance farm
