Japanese pub style food done very well. Appetizer portion skewered meats and veggies with savory flavors. My go to here is the chicken skin skewers and mochi wrapped bacon (weekends only for the mochi). This place is always bustling and their crafted drinks are great. The king salmon tataki is a definite banger and so is the truffle tuna. They have a different flavor soft serve daily. They’re all great. The green tea matcha tiramisu is so perfect. Only item I didn’t like were the oyster mushrooms. I couldn’t bite through them. Staff is awesome. I love it here

This place is a hidden gem! They have Japanese style tapas. Everything was fresh and delicious! The cocktails and beer selection was good too. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We got there right at 5pm and there was a line of people waiting at the door!

On our road trip from Fort Lauderdale back to Boston, we made a stop in Orlando and spent two exciting days exploring the Disney theme parks. Thanks to recommendations from fellow Google Local Guides, we decided to check out Susuru, a Japanese restaurant that caught our attention. We arrived around dinnertime to find the place bustling with activity. Despite the crowd, we were quickly seated and got started with the Dengaku Shishito appetizer. It was so delicious that we immediately ordered a second round! For our main course, we enjoyed two hearty bowls of noodles, and we wrapped up the meal with a delightful tiramisu for dessert. The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere, warm hospitality, and flavorful dishes made for a truly enjoyable and relaxing dining experience. If you’re in the Orlando area and craving authentic Japanese flavors, Susuru is a hidden gem worth discovering. Highly recommended!

Google
Amazing! Grilled meats, ramen, bowls, great cocktails, the list goes on. Everything I’ve ever had here was good. Their karage chicken is one of my favorites. Their food is so delicious that even my pickiest kid eats everything we order there. I always forget to take pics here because I tend to devour the food before I remember to take pictures. All in all, a wonderful dining experience that I think everyone should try. Pro tip: they open at 5 but I would recommend getting there at 4:30. A line starts to form before they open and the few times that I showed up after 5:30 I’ve been told I have to wait 2 hrs, typically on the weekends.

This restaurant always offers a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is great, and the customer service is always amazing. The food is fresh and so delicious with so much flavor and the drinks are so good too. Most of the time, there is a long time waiting to be seated, but it's so worth it.

Orlando’s Best Hidden Gem – After 15 years in Orlando, I can confidently say this is the best dining experience I’ve ever had. The moment I walked in, I felt like I was in a cozy Michelin-star spot tucked away in a big city—not Orlando. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. I had the lamb chops, and they absolutely blew me away. Marinated for 48 hours, they were incredibly flavorful, soft, and tender—hands down the best lamb I’ve ever had. I paired it with a sake juice box that was smooth and perfectly balanced with the dish. For dessert, the matcha tiramisu paired with hot green tea was the perfect ending—subtle, comforting, and delicious. Huge thanks to Kim for being so informative and to Josh for the excellent service. This is officially my new favorite restaurant in Orlando. Worth every penny—and an absolute must-visit.

Everything here is absolutely perfect!!! Service was very good and fast, our server he was super sweet with a smile on his face and got all our orders right even tho we ordered so many stuff. He works like he truly cares about customers! Food was absolutely delicious and we were very surprised with the ramen bout how good it was!! The ramen egg was one of the best ones I've ever had. Big grilled fish. A lil pricey for us but it was def worth it! 1000/1000.

Wow! Always wanted to come here and finally did with wife. Sat at the bar and got amazing service from Asuka. First visit. Everything on the menu looks amazing. Sitting at the bar I got to watch all the food come out and it just made me want to order everything I saw. Wagyu short rib skewer was perfect as well as the Brussel sprouts. Can't wait to come back for the ramen. Great vibe, great service, great food, and great drinks. I had the dai dai ipa and my wife found her new favorit drink the wakimizu. Worth any wait. Will be back soon and often.

Yelp
A must-visit for any ramen fan (like me)! I went on a Monday night and it was still an hour and a half wait, but so worth it. Our waitress, Asia, was super nice and helpful, and I loved the decor. Ramen is easily one of my favorite foods, and I was not disappointed here. Tonkotsu is my favorite, and I LOVE when a place has the black garlic oil, so I was ecstatic to see tonkotsu with black garlic oil on the menu. I'd highly recommend adding the black garlic oil whenever you can, because it brings an already amazing dish to the next level. Everything was so good and the portions are huge. It was hard to stop! Even then, you leave feeling feel but not gross. The prices aren't bad at all, especially considering the quality of the food.

Yelp
We arrived shortly after opening and were told the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour. We waited about 50 minutes in total for a table of four, which wasn't too bad considering it was Christmas week. We tried a few different skewers. The short ribs were a bit chewy and not the best, but the chicken hearts, shinkawa, and achilles were good. The okonomiyaki $10 was packed with lots of cabbage. The unagi don $40 had a good amount of eel, and my daughter loved it. The uni ikura don $35 was heavenly, my favorite, but the portion was really small. The chashu gohan was alright, it felt like just pork belly over rice. We also ordered tonkatsu ramen $17 and chicken karaage $11, which my son enjoyed and devoured. The matcha tiramisu came with two teas, which paired very nicely together. Our total was $181 before tipping. We'll be back next time when we're in Florida!

Yelp
I read this place gets packed quickly after opening so i was nervous going on a Friday after work. Got there about 25 mins after it was open. The place had a good amount of people already with others on wait list. A great chill atmosphere which is how i understood why people come. Since I was alone, there was a space at the bar. The bartender was so nice and chill. I loved her vibe!! I had a the Layover in Tokyo cocktail and it was so good! I started my first round with short ribs, pork belly, inner thigh and chicken nanban. All so tender and juicy. The sauce for the chicken nanban is addicting. I need a bottle for home. My second round was the chicken gizzards, baby Scallops and susuru Gohan. All so good! Baby Scallops became my fave and I had to order one more time before leaving. I highly recommended this place!

Yelp
This place was super packed! Was told 1hr-1hr 30 min wait but it was 45 min for 2 people. The waiter was very attentive and beer selection was nice I was craving ramen and got that but the soup flavor didn't exactly have depth for me. I read in other reviews it depends who is behind the kitchen that day. The mentaiko fries portion is HUGE. We could not finish it as 2 people, but there was very little sauce and you have to pay $1 extra for sufficient sauce. I didn't end up finishing the fries to see if that sauce was enough. My absolute favorite dish was the onigiro ochazuke, I have never had this before and it was amazing. It was very homey. The onigiri is crispy pan fried and the tea it's in compliments it. The dessert was also amazing

Yelp
I wasn't particularly impressed with the food here. We arrived around 10:30 pm, hoping for something warm to counter the chilly weather outside. While we waited for our table (about 10 minutes), we noticed several empty tables, which were only filled after we started ordering. As for the ramen, it didn't quite hit the mark. The broth was overly salty, the half egg had an odd sweetness to it, and the bamboo shoots were also strangely sweet. The noodles tasted either old or undercooked, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the service was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Last dinner in Florida before heading back to California & this place ended on a high note... I wasn't sure if I could eat anymore on this vacation but, when the food is good, you can!... OKINOMIYAKI: 10/10 So good! Ground chicken skewer: 10/10 CHICKEN THIGHS: 8.5/10 Pork belly black tonkatsu ramen: 9/10 SERVICE: 10/10 Arigato from Los Angeles, CA. We will visit you again next year :) Rock On Susuru!

Yelp
I didn't get a picture but the thigh yakitori was AMAZING. So juice and tender. The karage was also super juicy, lightly fried and so so so delicious Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Great Japanese food for Japanese bar. This is very typical Japanese bar setup with great atmosphere. Most seat is stool. Many come here to order the cocktails and sake. The place is popular. Wait time is needed during dinner time to get in the restaurant. We start with Tako wasa. This is raw squid in wasabi liquid sauce. This is some unique food I never had before. It good to go with other dish. The second dish is the yuzu street corn. It is cheese grilled corn. It is delicious. The third dish is grilled scallops, short rib and gizzard. The marinated flavor is in there. The fourth dish is Hamachi Kama. This is fried yellowtail cheek. The fish was fried to the bone is crispy. Very interesting. The forth dish is the Achilles yakitori. This chicken Achilles meat. The sixth dish is the Tonkutsu ramen. I feel the chashu meat is very tiny. The broth was make in 12 hour braise. Broth is thick and good. The last dish is the Yaki Onigiri Chazuke. This is a grilled rice bowl top with grilled pork belly. Then the soup is add to the bowl before serving. This is very special dish. Highly recommended. Overall service is good. Food is definitely good. Atmosphere is great like Japan dining.

Yelp
od: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 TL;DR: Susuru offers casual izakaya with a vibrant interior riddled with posters and merchandise representing Japanese culture. There was definitely a wait for tables, but we were able to snag bar seats right away. They have a wide range of drinks and cocktails that come with toys and candy. Honestly, the food was solid and the price was reasonable despite being close to Disneyworld. The service was good, but I could see it getting slow when the restaurant gets packed Susuru Gohan (*3.5/5*): Aesthetically pleasing for sure, but kinda bland if you're eating it by itself Mi-So Hot Ramen (*4/5*): Solid for an izakaya that doesn't specialize in ramen; rich, flavorful broth, tender meat, decent noodles Tempura King Oyster Mushroom (*3.5/5*): Personally our first time seeing this on a menu so we had to get it; it tasted good, but they were cut kinda thick and it was hard to bite pieces off Yakitori: Kawa - chicken skin (*5/5*): this was probably our favorite thing on the menu; they do it perfectly where it's crispy but still has a bit of chewiness Shishito Pepper (*3.5/5*): soft, delicious, and really like the bonito flakes with it; just wished it was a little more charred Hamachi Kama (*4/5*): always a solid option and bonus points for a large collar Pork Belly (*5/5*): thick, fatty pieces of pork belly Hiza Nankotsu - knee cartilage (*4/5*): yummy, nothing else notable Beef Tongue (*5/5*): this is one of the most tender pieces of beef tongue I've ever had

Yelp
Such a fun location. They shout in Japanese when you enter and the restaurant all shouts back. Their menu is "tapas" style. So it's small portions and you purchase a few. Table seating is great communal seating is great. My only complaint is the bar is SO STICKY. I asked the server to help me wipe it down so I'd stop sticking to it and he said it's the material the bar is made of and that no amount of wiping will help. I've been numerous times and love their food. Love their kindness. Love the environment. But if I go again and the only option is bar seating I won't stay because the bar is *** so uncomfortably *** sticky. It just gave me such a difficult time and shivers down my spine. Kept making me think I was sitting in food remnants.

Yelp
We got there at 5:30 on Saturday and surprisingly it was not packed yet. However there was a line before opening. Our server was great, very attentive and the food came out very fast. We didn't wait long for the skewers and small bites. The vibes were great as it is a nice place to sit down and hangout with some friends. Music was not very loud but loud enough to listen too.
google avatar

Yelp
Went for dinner on a Friday night after a friend's recommendation to try this izakaya. Beer choices were off the chain. The IPA was great. The ramen had delicious slices of chicken breast. The Murdock root was thinly sliced and seasoned. It was a nice touch to the ramen bowl. The bartender took care of us and did a great job explaining dishes and making suggestions.

Yelp
Susuru was the perfect little capstone to my girlfriend and I's date night! Great atmosphere, amazing food, and we even got a little trinket with our drink that we could take home with us to remember and commemorate our night!! The place was such a vibe. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted with a bunch of vintage Japanese decor that draw you in and intrigue you right from the get go. We also enjoyed how they played popular anime music and it definitely helped elevate the fun factor and the experience as a whole! Our server was also great! She was super attentive, explained the menu to us, and even gave us her food recommendations (more on that later). Food was 10/10! It could be a tad pricey but the quality of the food more than justifies the cost! Our favorite dishes had to have been the short rib kushiyaki and the kawa (chicken skin) yakitori that our server recommended for us. The short rib was bursting with flavor and was so mouthwateringly juicy whereas the kawa yakitori had that flavorful crunch to balance...so glad our server recommended that one to us! To top things off, Susuru is super close to nearby hotspots like Disney Springs which makes it extremely easily to fit it into your plans for the day (which is what my girlfriend and I did last minute haha). Plenty of parking too so no need to worry about that!! Our experience at Susuru was memorable and left us wanting more! The food was beyond amazing, the vibes were immaculate, and we genuinely can't wait to come visit again soon!!

Yelp
I actually really like Susuru, I know it gets compared to its "better" sister restaurant Juju but I prefer Susuru's hours and variety on the menu! This is a Japanese izakaya with small plates meant to be shared. I've tried most of the menu but my standouts are: -- hamachi kama (takes the kitchen a long time to make but it comes piping hot and delicious) -- uni ikura don -- okonomiyaki (though it was a bitttt heavy on the mayo) -- scallop skewers -- the fries (so perfectly crispy and easy to be shared) I honestly think most of the skewers are just okay, nothing really stands out to me for meat quality. The chicken cartilage skewer was like 85% meat, so that was disappointing because I was expecting some crunch. The tako wasa was just okay for me too, a bit too much wasabi (almost overpowering) and not enough octopus. It was served on its own and not with any seaweed or accompaniment. Since the dishes are small, expect to order a lot to satisfy your table. I would say the total probably comes out to about $40-$50 per person, not including drinks. The cocktails, by the way, are super cute and come with little figurines or keepsakes you can take home. On busier nights, I think the kitchen can have trouble keeping up. So expect a longer dinner if you've ordered many items for your table.

Yelp
I always love coming here. This time I opted for all the beef/pork skewers, except for the beef tongue, and the chicken skin and scallop skewers. I also got the Okonomiyaki. Everything was very delicious and the customer service was great! The food came out within 5min too. My favorite was the chicken skin and the pork belly and Okonomiyaki were close second favorites. I can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
Show up early if you want to get in when they open!! I asked my cousin who lives in Orlando to go to dinner, and he said this was one of their favorite places...But he said, they open at 5 and there is always a line... there was, and I now understand why because holy smokes it was so tasty! Tapas style Japanese cuisine, everything was exceptional. I had 4 skewers and a mini bowl, and we started with fries and another started (chicken I think). I don't remember the exact names of what we tried, but I think combined we had one of each skewer. Definitely the way to go if you like Japanese food!! Also, had to get a Sapporo of course :P The people as well, so kind, and so knowledgable about the menu. I also really loved how they had a bunch of Japanese deco around the room, and the open concept with the bar, kitchen, and restaurant works well. When you walk in, the whole staff welcomes each party. It was definitely a special experience.

Yelp
Overall: Great ambiance, fast service, decent food and drinks, but it was pricey: Ambiance: They make good use of the space. I definitely like the wood and decor. Service: We were sat quickly. Food came out quickly. Drinks: Both drinks were great! They didn't have the mugs they came in which was disappointing. Food: Mentaiko Fries - a good amount! I like crunch but it was too heavy on the mayo. The mayo had no spice to it at all. I wouldn't order this again just bc the mayo was not great. A5 Wagyu: After going to Japan nothing compares, it was good but not enough pieces for the price. If you were by yourself. I think this plus another app would be enough. Paitan Chicken Ramen: I actually really like this! I wish they had other nonpork options though. I recommend this!

It was Christmas time and they were extremely packed. Food was good. I liked the decor. Would I come back? Yes.

Yelp
Sat at the bar for date night and had an amazing experience! Everything we ordered was so tasty and we really enjoyed the beers and sakes we ordered. The server was so friendly, I hope we get her again! The ramen was our favorite by far!!

Yelp
Susuru is a popular izakaya in Orlando, Florida with vintage playful decor and the 80s vibes that instantly teleports you to Japan. This is our first and also favorite meal in this trip. My stomach can't stop but growl relooking the food we got. The location is convenient and not too far from Disney World. *Susuru Gohan w. Pork* A small bowl of rice topped with soy marinated raw egg yolk, onion, diced braised pork. The rice is drizzled with sweet soy sauce and remember to mix the runny yolk with it. It comes with a perfect small portion that it won't fill you up too much, so you have more room for other food. *Mentaiko Fries** We asked for extra mentaiko mayo and it was a $1 well spent. Excellent side to snack on and pair with beer. *Tako Wasa*** Unexpectedly this is my favorite! The raw octopus is soaked in wasabi sauce. Very tender and slippery in texture. *Hiyayakko Tofu Cold tofu coated with dashi soy sauce, minced ginger and crispy sakura shrimps. Light and delightful treat. *Yakitori - Beef Tongue, Short Ribs, Tsukune Beef tongue is well seasoned and tender, while the short ribs are just okay. Tsukune is a chicken meatball skewer. We picked miso pesto and garlic mayo for the sauce but nothing impressive. I should have asked for raw egg instead for the most authentic experience. *Chicken Karaage Skippable. The karaage is dry, lacking the juiciness we expected. I also disliked the thick fried batter. Gave up the whole dish after first few bites.

Yelp
Cute, vintage vibe inside. Made me feel like I was in Japan. Service was great, and we only had to wait 10 mins for a table. I have been wanting to try this place for awhile, so as you can see from the pics, we tried quite a few things. My gf and I felt the food was good, but nothing stood out as amazing. Overall, we had a good experience but the food could've had more flavor. My favorite thing I tried was the gyoza's.
google avatar

Yelp
I have always wanted to come here and I finally made it! This place looks so cool on the inside, very retro old school Japanese vibes. The service here was quick and our server was very nice. If you are unfamiliar with Japanese food or the Japanese names for food items the menu could be a little overwhelming. I encourage you to try new things or just ask the staff, everything here was so good I don't think you could go wrong. We tried so many things and loved everything. The Karaage was perfectly crispy and delicious. The noodles in the ramen were amazing! So was the broth. The pork belly skewer just melts in your mouth. I cannot recommend this place enough. It's so good and you can tell they put care into preparing every dish. I cannot wait to come back here and try the rest of the menu!

Yelp
Pros: Really striking appearance. Really reminds me of when I lived in Japan as a kid. Lots of fun things to look around at. Service was good. Very friendly people quick to make delicious recommendations. Food was bonkers good. Leave it to a Japanese place to be able to make the mushroom skewer more delicious than one of the chicken ones. Great drink menu. Just a great place. Cons: Absolutely no cons. Be prepared for a wait, though. They do not take reservations. Tips: Don't worry about over-ordering. Everything comes in smaller portion size, letting you get more things. If you've never had okonomiyaki before, get it from here. It's such a great, fun little dish. Order all the skewers! Even the ones that don't sound appealing to you. Best chicken knee cartilage I've had in my whole life.

Yelp
This place is amazing. It's styled like a Japanese izakaya, or bar, and after visiting Japan in March of this year, it wasn't far from the real deal! The bar, the silliness, the uncomfortable seats, the small portions. It was very Japan. I didn't know that at the time, but I certainly know now. As for the service, the guy was really nice. Very attentive. Service has to be good at a place like this where the point is to order a few items at a time. No complaints. They have a bunch of sakes to choose from, as well as a bunch of non-alcoholic options. I had a milk tea and a fruit juice soda thing. I'm not sure, but everything we drank tasted very good. Then, the food. We ordered a bunch of things and shared, as it should be in a place like this. We got the Chicken Karaage (Japanese fried chicken, lemon, salt w/side yuzu mayo), the Susuru Gohan mini bowl (soy cured organic raw egg yolk, sweet aged soy, onion, Japanese seasoning, steamed rice), the Okonomiyaki (cabbage, Kewpie mayo, beni shoga, bonito, scallions, okonomi sauce), a slew of Yakitori skewers, and the main event, the Hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar, ponzu, lemon). Karaage was superb. Crispy, juicy, just enough salt to really enhance that wonderful chicken thigh flavor, and a nice, tangy acidic mayo for dipping. Really the best karaage I've had in town. Mini bowl was wonderful. I feel like you get a lot of massive rice bowls in this country, just way too much. But this was a perfect little portion, fun for sharing, and you can get in, get out, and move onto the next dish. Intense yolk, just a dash of seasoning, simple flavors really singing against the plain but necessary white rice. Yum. Okonomiyaki. This is the best dish you might have never had before. A crisp crisp crisp cabbage pancake, doused with Kewpie and covered with delicious bonito. I can't even describe it. It's just fun and delicious and charred yumminess. Yakitori. Skewers. There's nothing better than getting a whole mess of skewers and sharing them with people. Don't be afraid of any of these. The chicken hearts were delish, the chicken knee cartilage was delish, and the lowkey star of the show might have been the shiitake mushrooms. How do you make mushrooms taste that good?? And then, the Hamachi collar. If you've never had collar before, you're missing out. This thing was So succulent. Ridiculously flakey. Don't bother with lame utensils. Just pick this thing up and go at it like a chicken wing. Overall, wow, I'm so glad I stopped by this place. I tried to get some things for each major category, but I didn't even scratch the surface. I'm gonna have to come back soon and try everything else.

Yelp
I wanted to have a small night snack, and I decided to try the skewers that Susuru has. I went near to close time, but they were really nice to let me get inside and order. They gave a seat in the bar so I could see how the cooks prepare everything. It was a great view. I tried the hearts, chicken oyster, and baby scallops. All of them were amazing. Need to try more of their menu next time!

Yelp
There is nothing spectacular about the outside of the restaurant, but you know a place is good when a long line forms before opening hours. It was my first tine visiting the place, I had been told to get there 30mins before it opened because a line would form and I was shocked at how long the line got. Luckily, parking is easy because it's located in a large plaza. Once they opened and as I walked inside, I noticed how its decor resembles a street-Japanese look. Very cute, quirky, and rustic oriented. There also wasn't very many seating for its popularity, which explains the line that forms outside. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and seemed excited to serve me. They gave me many recommendations and I started with the street corn, beef tongue, and skirt steak. Everything was incredibly delicious and exactly how you would expect it to taste. The beef tongue (first time trying) was a very pleasant surprise. It's a little fatty, but very tender and tastes like beef. As a main course I ordered the Tonkotsu. I'm a big eater, so I'm glad I had appetizers to add to the main course. I felt like there was a perfect balance of pork, ramen, and vegetables and it was very tasty even before adding any sauces or spices. Lastly, I had the matcha tira-masu. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, and this dessert was absolutely perfect. Like most Asian desserts, it was a very mild flavor that satisfied the palate. It was light in texture and came with green tea to enhance the experience. Overall, the experience felt authentic. The food quality was great, portions were satisfying, prices felt reasonable, and it felt like a unique Japanese experience you typically get from other restaurants. I'll definitely be coming back and recommend to anyone wanting to try something new.

Yelp
Cool vibes and very tasty ramen. Dropped in here with the extended family, for dinner after a long day at one of the Mouse's amusement parks. We had chicken ramen, pork ramen, black garlic pork ramen, spicy pork ramen, their house special french fries, tempura mushroom, Chicken meatballs, and skirt steak teppanyaki. We thought everything was very delicious. Everyone's favorite was the french fries, the tempura mushroom, and the regular pork ramen and black garlic ramens. For some reason the spicy pork ramen had very salty broth. The grilled skirt steak strips were also a bit tough. We love the Cool vibe of the place! All fill with kitschy Japanese anime toys an old movie posters from the '60s, '70s and '80s. Oh, me also had a really good Amber ale made from red rice. Very delicious.

Yelp
Susuru is a lively, retro-inspired spot offering delicious Japanese street food. The atmosphere is unique, with old Japanese toys and nostalgic decor. Menu is full of delicious options, from ramen to skewers. Every dish is flavorful and authentic, capturing the essence of Japan's izakayas. It's a must-visit for a fun and relaxing dining experience with friends and family!

Yelp
Susuru is just as amazing as Juju. They have a few more options as well. The menu consists of more yakitori and other hot food compared to Juju that has more raw fish. If you come I highly recommend the Tori Paitan - chicken ramen. The broth was very flavorful and creamy. The ingredients in the soup all paired so well. There were hints of lime flavors in the chicken, crunch from the fried burdock and extra filling from the cabbage in the soup. The gyoza and sesame tuna are great apps to try. The gyoza was served under a layer of fried oil that you have to crack to get the gyoza. The sauce that comes with the tuna is very creamy and delicious. We went for the wagyu as we were craving it. It was delicious but not as hot I we would have preferred. The mushrooms and brussel sprouts that it came with were drenched in a soy glaze that was just so good.

Yelp
This is my third time visiting this place. The first time I was unsuccessful in obtaining a table because it was so full. The second time was when I was with two friends and I knew then that I was coming back. This is my third time but second time dining. This time we came in very late. The restaurant closes at 11 PM and we walked in at 8:30 PM. If you are a late person and don't mind having a late dinner, then this is the best time in the middle of the week to catch and taste and savor the Japanese flavor that is well seasoned without having to wait for a table. The small plates made it more appetizing not to one's eyes, but to one's taste. Service was nice, they even offer to take our photos. Will I come back? Of course!

Finally went back to Susuru after a while and, man, I never get sick of this place. The food is always amazing and the staff is the sweetest people ever. The music isn't loud and the people talking isn't overbearing. I highly suggest to arriving early since there is always a line. I'd arrive 30/45 minutes before they open.

Yelp
The service here was really good, our server loui was attentive and checked up often. The mentaiko fries were good and they gave a lot but it was a bit too much for me personally so I couldn't finish it. The onigiri with tea tho was fantastic and it was definitely the highlight. I highly recommend this dish. The butter onigiri was also good but the other one outperformed easily. The ramen broth was a bit lackluster in terms of taste but I enjoyed the noodles alot. Overall for the price of things here it was a great find, however there is a long wait time so keep that in mind. The greentea tiramisu was delicious, it was well crafted and beautifully presented

Yelp
Cute place to swing by for japanese izakaya and ramen noodles.... and if you're scratching an itch for tapas/small plates like I was near the disney/ Universal Parks. The interior is decked out with old school japanese posters, collections of japnese items/toys, etc. My bf and I sat at the bar area and grabbed some items with drinks. My favorite items were the okonomiyaki (though it felt kinda pricey for the portion size) and also beef tongue. Didn't get the japanese ramen, but it seemed like the majority of the orders that night. Will have to come back for it when I'm in the area! Also, it seemed like several people coming in were confused between korean and japanese food, which the hostess clarified. Hope this post is helpful as well, and this restaurant continues to stay true to their cuisine and to serve delicious japanese food!

Yelp
When you've got multiple people who've got different tastes all satisfied and saying this was one of the best restaurants, you know you did it right. After a long day of Disney fun, we wanted something outside of the park. So glad we picked Susuru for dinner because it became a favorite spot for many of our group. Shout out to Mai who was phenomenal and gave us the best food recommendations. My husband and brother in law both gasped with delight when trying the tantan ramen. The flavors hit so well I agree with them. We grabbed the gyoza with wings (and it was the last one before they ran out, so you know it's popular). I had to keep the sauce from the dumplings and hit it with some rice. We all fought for the tempura fried king oyster mushrooms. Our entire family was obsessed with the Hamachi Kama, which made my mom ask a million questions on where we can get this when we go back to the Northeast. When ordering a slew of skewers, our favorites were the soriresu (chicken oyster), baby scallop, and short ribs. Additionally I really loved the shiitake mushroom and eggplant with miso sauce yasai off the vegetarian skewer options. At the end we also had to add in the beef tongue which was on special. Between the vibes of the restaurant, lots of fun cocktail options, and really great Japanese beer too, I could come back and try everything. My husband is forever attached to the sake in a juice box. It was one of the best memories of our vacation to share a meal and try so many different things. This is one of the best restaurants my husband has ever had. Great work Susuru, don't miss this one if you're in Orlando!

Yelp
Cute little restaurant that has a vibe to it. Came here with a group of friends for the first time. As a ramen lover, this place hits the spot. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with a Sapporo draft beer. The place is decorated wildly so it keeps your eyes busy. Prices are okay. The seats are a bit small and uncomfortable, but it's a place you have to try at least once!

Yelp
A great lil Izakaya with cool retro-theme decor in Orlando near the Disney Springs area. I love coming here when I'm near the area and I'm craving some Japanese tapas. Some of my favorites are the yakitori, mentaiko fries, yuzu street corn, and the mini bowl susuru chashu gohan. The mini bowl is my top favorite because its a good size and the chasu is usually cookie to perfection. They also have some really great cocktails and dessert! This is a great spot for a casual dinner with friends or date night and really transports you to a different space with their food and decor.

Yelp
Came in right at opening at 5pm and had a 5-10 min wait for them to setup. We've been here before so we were already excited to eat here again, this time my dad came with us. We ordered a ton of things and our server Chris was freaking amazing!!!! This place is seriously top notch, don't be afraid to try something new or if you don't know what something is they'll explain it to you. Again Chris made our experience perfect. Total at the end was 100$ with tip for 3 people, and we ate quite a bit.

Yelp
Found this place because we were tired of eating at chain restaurants. Not too shabby! We ordered dandan ramen - that chili hair gets you every bite, so if you are not a fan of spicy, I warned ya. We got some random skewers that were not bad but meh to me. Ordered the fries and of course, a fam favorite, can't go wrong. Service was great but inside the restaurant had a funky smell. Had to overlook it cause we were hungry.

Yelp
Small izakaya spot near I-4. Great skewers but prepare to wait. Service and food is a little slow but all tasted great!!

Yelp
Susuru, I see you. Decor- 10/10. Service- 10/10. Food 10/10. This is my favorite eats/drinks of this year so far and I think it's going to be hard to top this. Having visited Orlando a couple of times, I always thought the food scene was ok, but if Susuru is a reflection of Orlando's growing food scene, I am looking forward to coming back! We actually visited two times during our four day stay because everything was perfect! I am seriously still thinking about their onigiri with tea broth and chicken meatball skewers. There can be a bit of wait but it moves quickly and there's plenty of decor to take in. The service was exceptional too. All in all, a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Yelp
After having legitimately some of the WORST food of my life at Epcot - I was desperate for good food and Susure hit the spot. Special shout out to our service Chris who was incredible even with the place being so busy. Never missed a beat and was attentive. As for the food, standout dishes were the mentaiko fries and chicken karrage. The ramen was good but the broth was a bit too bland for me. But the noodles, chashu chicken, and pork chashu was on the point. They also had a wide selection of yakitori dishes while hood wasn't mind blowing but I'd recommend still getting some. Overall fantastic place and great palate cleanser if you're sick of terrible and overpriced theme park food.

Yelp
My GAWD! I can't speak highly enough about this restaurant. I pray they open one in Miami soon! We had several small appetizers from all over the menu and we loved everything. The small bowls are such a great option, especially the second one with some pork(pictured). Everything is reasonably priced including the drinks, so it truly meats the definition of a "gastropub@! Simple amazing and I'd highly recommend it!

Yelp
I cant believe I found a ramen place I enjoyed better than Jinya. This ramen shop is themed all around the dotonburi district in japan. I love the atmosphere and I never mention music in my reviews but the music was so good. Japanese mixes of popular American pop songs. I've eaten in dotonburri japan before and I actually liked the tartan ramen here better than any ramen I've had over there. They had mixed drinks that included a japanesese icon souvenirs like godzilla or seiyaman. I wanted godzilla but they were out. Really cool concept though. Plan to come 30 minutes early. It was 10pm when we left and there was still a line out the door! So worth the wait!

Yelp
Good food and playful atmosphere! The apps were amazing! The ramen was a little light on the salt for my taste, unfortunately. The drinks were spot on. Our server was on point! Give this place a try and see for yourself! "They're your tastebuds. Satisfy them" -Allan Delacruz

Yelp
Really cool place with a Asian inspired menu. I've been here when they first opened ages ago but now it looks like they worked out all the kinks of the place. I didn't think the food was great the first time around but this time it really hit the spot. I was craving uni and I knew this place had some. I got the rice with egg and uni. It was so good! Uni was rich and creamy and has umami flavors really well with the rice. Service was great, nothing special, but my drinks were refilled and the food came out quickly and I was checked up on often enough.

Yelp
Wish we could give Susuru 6 Stars.. It's Been a While since we came to Susuru, and it was even Better than we Remembered. Amazing Food, Service and ambiance! One of our Go To Restaurants in Orlando. Well Done!

Yelp
Went with 2 friends. Was initially told a 20-30 minute wait but was seated in 10. Waiter was very friendly and helpful with selections. Everything top to bottom was amazing. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Atmosphere-great. Sushi-great. Grilled things-great. Fried things-great. Cocktails-great. Dessert-great. A thesaurus is not needed. Everything was on point and we had a great time. Just go and have some greatness.

Yelp
Dinner for one, served at the bar. I had saba shioyaki, grilled mackerel. Also orders of Brussels sprouts and shishito peppers. All items grilled, like almost everything there. Sapporo draft to drink. The food was good--the mackerel tasty. I order saba shio often. This had good flavor, but was a bit difficult to separate with chopsticks. Generally requires a little effort, but comes apart, this one required more force. Not really a big complaint, different fish are different, I suppose. It did taste good. The vegetables: shishito peppers with shaved bonito--very good. Brussels sprouts were heavily charred. Not an abundance of vegetables, but tasty enough. Service quick and friendly. Atmosphere funky and fun. This may have worked better with a group ordering every skewer on the menu and everyone trying a bite or two of everything. It was good, overall.
