Stayed for one night in the summer on a Sunday. Hotel was busier than expected. Lots of kids, so good for families. Our room wasn’t ready when we checked in, check was at 4 and our room wasn’t ready until 545. They waived the $29 resort for this and allowed us to use the pool before the room was ready. Pool was busy, but clean and nice. Room was clean, some of the furnishings seemed older than the room ( big rip in curtains ect.) but very spacious and had everything we needed. Overall was a good stay, would be better for a longer stay. Love the choice of restaurants right on site, plus a liquor store and small convenience store.

Google
This place nailed every category. Rooms were spotless, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a full kitchen and mountain views that felt unreal. Service was professional, especially Reneé, and quick without being stiff. But the location is what really wins, right at the base of the gondola, you’re on the mountain within minutes. Hot tubs were a perfect post-bike/ski reward. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Worth every penny.

A fantastic hotel. Excellent staff and very clean suites. It has a decent size pool, a couple of hot tubs and steam rooms. Located at the base of the gondola making it super convenient for a weekend getaway. It’s a little out of the way from Revelstoke, about 10 min drive, so just be ware of that.

Excellent stay! We enjoyed a suite for a wedding. The beds were super soft and comfortable, everything was clean and pristine with stocked amenities. All the staff were marvelous and friendly. Restaurants on the property were also great.

We stayed for two nights! The room was incredible with beautiful views and tons of space for my family of 5! Very clean also so kudos to Becca & Flana! Bonus that I could hear the little creek on my deck which made for a peaceful morning coffee! There is lots to do with no need to leave the resort. The only tiny feedback I could give for consideration in the future is to change out the curtains. Our suite was so big with high ceilings which left window openings so there was no way to block out light. I prefer dark rooms for sleeping but that’s just a tiny personal thing that may not mean anything to others. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful relaxing stay!

Everything was good accept the cleanliness of the unit. The first unit had nail clippings on the floor. In another room there were hair pins on the floor. The kitchen counter had sugar on it. The second unit we were put in had food crumbs on the floor by the bar table. The man that helped us with our rooms was extremely nice and helpful. He deserves high praise. The pool and hot tub were really nice. The location is perfect for skiers as it is located right at the bottom on the ski hill where the gondola picks you up. Everything I would give high marks for other than cleanliness.

Google
This is the place to say when skiing Revelstoke. Rooms are a nice size. We had a three bedroom condo with 2 baths. Kitchen was nicely stocked with plates and glassware making it easy to entertain and relax in the unit. The pool, hot tub and saunas all get plenty of use in the Après hour. Staff was very accommodating, bringing a lost bag to the condo directly. Extra pillows and daily housekeeping was a nice touch. Being at the base of the gondola makes it a easy transition for the day of skiing and the ski lockers help keep this neat. Construction is ongoing, so there is a bit of noise during the day and plenty of dust and dirt to go around.

Nice modern hotel in the heart of the village. Our room was awesome, super clean and spacious with a decent view and fireplace. The hot tub area was okay, nothing too special with a couple small square tubs that fill up with people quickly. There are a few saunas to use in the pool area as well as a heated pool. Later in the day they have a pool bar open up with a waiter so you can stay in the tubs, expensive drinks though. Parking was a bit of a headache as the underground parking lot is tight and fills up earlier in the day when people arrive for check in, so if you arrive later like we did be prepared to hunt! Also; if you're looking for a ski in/out experience go mid season as we went Mid March and the village had NO SNOW with only 1 cat track run to get you down to the hotel... Essentially the bottom 2/3 of the mountain was brown or not worth it, had to take 2 gondolas then a chair lift to get to decent snow. For the money we spent to stay here we thought it would be better in that sense.

Yelp
This is the luxurious hotel for the Revelstoke Mountain Resort, basically a ski and mountain biking resort. Our room suite was very spacious and contemporary and included a kitchen with shelf and cookware. The appliances were Miele brand and there was also a clothes washer and dryer. We really didn't need the amenities for our 1 nite stay but it gives you an idea of the type of place this is - basically a very comfortable and furnished 1 bedroom apartment. In fact, we learned later that some of the units like what we stayed in were in fact condos for sale - for $900k CAD! The adequate breakfast was provided in the Rockford Bar and Grill on the resort site. It wasn't set up very well though as the buffet table was in a congested area and there was a long queue caused by folks unbeknowingly waiting on toasters to do their job and not going around. Besides that snafu, I have to knock my rating back one full star from 4.5 to 3.5 stars due to just one surprising disappointment - and that is the awfully awkward and bad design of their shower. First, it is a tight shower and hardly any room to move or bend, especially with a full sized swing door. I felt like I was back on a cruise ship. Secondly, before the water temperature can be adjusted water has to come spraying out of the shower head for a nice shock, and thirdly, there isn't much freedom of movement for the shower head when that shocker does happen. During my whole shower, all I could say was "Ugh, I can't believe this layout!"

Yelp
Once again this resort brought their A-Game. This immaculately clean world class property has the best lift assisted trail riding in BC as well as many other trail opportunities off property in the provincial and national parks nearby. You might also consider taking a spin on the mountain coaster, (which I strongly recommend be enjoyed sans-alcohol), as it is definiteily hard core, and you are accountable to control the speed of your car which requires considerable skill and care (if you plan to really 'go for it'.) The pool and hot-tubs are very well appointed, and the cleaning team does a fantastic job. Kudos to Rene, Becky, and the front Concierge team for welcoming us by name, taking care of our special requests, and treating us like VIPs. If you need to find your next 5 Star world class resort experience (Skiing or Biking) SUTTON PLACE REVELSTOKE MOUNTAIN RESORT is the place to be! Pro-Tip: Get a room in Building One facing the valley (for the view) and take advantage of the secret hot tub on floor 3 bldg 1, that no-one knows about and will therefor afford your party privacy. (Make sure all beverages are in cans not bottles for safety please.) Also, check out Salmon with Asparagus at the Rockford! (see photo) Avoid rooms facing the main pool if you can, as the pool activities are quite audible from the rooms at night, and the pools are rocking 'til quite late.

Yelp
Location: The sutton place is located in an excellent spot. Not only is it a short walk from the gondola, but it also is near some great restaurants. The hotel: It's no Ritz Carlton, but it has everything you need from a hotel at a ski resort. No real complaints here. The extra stuff: Underground parking was a blessing to have. And the staff were very friendly.

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel, we stayed in a suite with three kids & four adults and we had plenty of room, there were two bed rooms with king size beds and each had their own bathroom with a tub & shower! There was also a washer & dryer available to use which was awesome. We had a balcony facing the pool, which had amazing view! There was another balcony off one of the bedrooms. The pool is outdoors as well as the hot tub, its expensive but gorgeous defiantly enjoyed our stay!

Yelp
When ski I need a great bed for a solid sleep, and a well set up kitchen so I can shop and cook breakfast lunch and dinner. The Sutton is strong: awesome beds, en-suite bathrooms, dishwasher, full size fridge, flatscreen tvs. BUT what is really great is how close the the door is to gondola up the hill. The staff was extremely helpful both at check in and at getting us set up for a week of skiing.

Yelp
Exemplary service. Great front desk staff and impeccable room cleaning. Catering staff during our conference were polite, attentive, and cheerful. Even the grounds and landscape staff were in good humour and worked around our impromptu outdoor workshops in the courtyard! Excellent facilities - warm pool, multiple hot tubs, on-site restaurant and services. I had several meals from the restaurant, and all of the food was above average, and the wait staff were incredible given our level of rowdiness and complicated orders. The room layouts are a bit odd - the sleeping quarters are tight compared to the expansiveness of the rest of the suite, but the bathrooms are luxurious, the kitchen generous with high quality fixtures. Note that you will not have a view if you face the courtyard. Also, the rooms facing the courtyard can be noisy at night. I'd request a room facing the valley next time I visited this hotel. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, service, and value of this hotel. The rooms are dirt cheap in the off seasons. Note that there isn't really anything within walking distance of the resort. This is probably the biggest downfall of the resort. If you expecting something like Whistler or SunPeaks Village, then you will be disappointed.

Yelp
Through work i have stayed in A LOT of hotels. This hotel offers a 40% discount on a suite through Costco for a "suite" The discounted price is $299/night meaning that this room is $420/night. Which makes this room the WORST $420/night room I have ever seen. The furniture is worn, dirty and actually has tears in it. The room is definitely not a suite. It is the same size as any other hotel room. Rather than having a second queen bed, they put in a couch. I have also stayed in the Sutton in Vancouver. It is way more luxurious than this hotel. In my opinion this hotel is taking advantage of the fact that it is close to the lift and it's brand name. It is not walkable distance to the village or any other amenities. Given you have to get in a car/taxi one way or another, I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Yelp
Most things about this place are excellent. The location is unbeatable; the back door is literally steps from the gondola and most of the base restaurants and shops are within the same building. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and housekeeping was impeccable. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for legitimate cooking. Hot tubs were nice, albeit very crowded, even on a weekday. It's fairly expensive but good value for the money. All that said, I have to take a star (and considered taking two stars) for the ski locker system. I'd say for a slopeside hotel, especially a high-end hotel, it's mission critical to be convenient for skiers. But while skis are forbidden from rooms, the ski locker was dingy and quite out of the room-to-lift path of travel, and guests needed to keep a physical key to the locker with them to access it. This needs to be fixed. Cliff Lodge at Snowbird does this much better so I'd recommend management take a look at that system to see how to improve.

Yelp
During the on-season, probably a good pick with a ski lift and sporting amenities. For late summer, definitely a rip off. First, there is a 20$ fee for the WiFi (!) that is not included in quoted prices - scam. Second, all rooms are tiny (looked at both a bedroom with living area and a two bedroom suite) enough that you cannot walk all the way around the bed you have to crawl over it. Designed as condos? View from the room was spectacular, if you care about that make sure to get a room facing away from the ski lift.

John L.

Yelp
Great facilities, great convenience and nice staff. The hot tubs to restaurants are great too. I really enjoyed the skiing here. Only thing I can say needs to be improved on is room service. I stayed here for six nights and by the third, room service wasn't making the bed fully anymore, putting everything back in its place or refilling with new coffee. It's the little stuff that's noticeable.

Yelp
This hotel had a piece of paper waiting for us on our counter with all the necessary information that we would need and they also said that they intended to exceed our vacation expectations, and that they most definitely did. Our room was extremely large with a full kitchen filled with plates, pots, pans and even a collander. The rooms were extremely spacious with a bathroom for each. We had enough space for all our belongings times three. The service was exceptionally good, the staff gave us robes and slippers and changed our towels a d clothes daily. They had the answers to my questions concerning the hotel amenities and surroundings area. Our room cane with a washer and a dryer, perfect for our ski clothes, witch was absolutely amazing. Our room came with two decks, perfect for my morning yoga and stretches and very nice for a social après ski. The Sutton Place hotel had everything that we needed and way more. With the amenities abs the friendly staff I felt extremely welcomed. 11/10 would recommend. :)

Yelp
Fantastic experience. So many things to do and felt very safe! You have to try the coaster!

Barbara S.

Yelp
Fabulous hotel - the absolute height of luxury. Top of the line cookware in the kitchen, big, fluffy towels, wonderful bed, super helpful staff. Makes me wish I liked to ski, because I would love to come back! Revelstoke was a quick drive (about 10 minutes) with lots of options for restaurants.

Scott S.

Yelp
By far the best of the Sutton Place hotels. I can't believe this hotel is already 5 years old, because the rooms were spotlessly clean. The kitchens were fully equipped and everything looked unused. We were upgraded to the next available room class. Our room had huge living room area, fully-equipped kitchen, a balcony, and spacious washroom with heated floors! Checking in was smooth and the front desk personnel who served us was courteous and helpful. Think his name was JC or Jay-z. Breakfast was included in our rate and is served midway up the Gondola, so you get free ski lift passes as well. Plenty of underground parking and topside parking as well. Only 10 minutes from town centre by car. Yes, you should have a car when coming to Revelstoke. This is not Whistler Village where you can just take a bus from Vancouver and have many things around the Village area to keep you occupied.

Jason J.

Yelp
Great hotel rooms, right at the base of the mountain. Overall the facilities are quite nice. You can wake up and walk out your door, and be on the hill in 30 seconds or less. Definitely a quiet hotel, in that there are very few occupants (March 2013), so there isn't much to do, except for relax - which is what a ski vacation is for. We went to the bar on St Patrick's Day and it was considered "busy" with 5 other people. Be forewarned that Revelstoke town is quite a ways away - about $20 cab ride, or a shuttle bus ride away (free if you stay here or at the Best Western), but it only runs into 530pm, so you're cabbing it, if you're past 530pm in town (or on the hlil and wanting to get into town). Or if you have a car, then obviously transportation isn't an issue. The free wifi is great, however the reception is pretty horrible. If you get more than 1 bar in your room, then you're pretty lucky. The hallways however, get great wifi reception. Overall, I'd stay here again. and will definitely come back to cat ski again in Revelstoke.

Ron S.

Yelp
Worst bed slept in since college, toilets wouldn't flush and to top things off only cable channel news available was CNN - even played this on tv screens throughout the hotel. Over priced!

Elle S.

Yelp
This hotel was absolutely stunning with breathtaking views as well. We had one of the king suites which boasted a large suite with a balcony that overlooked the mountains and ravines below. Situated right at the base of the gondola and complete with its own charming village of restaurants, coffee bars and little shops made this location completely self sustaining. Nothing was more than a moment away. Our suite was beautiful with all stainless steel appliances in the kitchenette and all dishes and pots and pans for any of your culinary need during your stay. A washer and dryer was also available in suite which was a great touch travelling with a two year old! The bathrooms were large and comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch in the living area space for that mountain style feel. The balcony had patio table and chairs as well so you can take in the view. Two flat screens were in our room; one in the bedroom and one in the living room so you don't have to fight with the kids over tv programming! The hotel itself was very large. Three different buildings to make up this establishment. There is a hot tub on the second floor overlooking the gorgeous mountain scape as well as a large rectangular pool and two more hot tubs outside the fitness centre on the edge of the village. The hot tubs were really hot which is a great find! The lobby had its own coffee bar as well for guests which was very inviting to walk in to. The rooms were very quiet and we barely ever heard our neighbours. This is definitely a more luxury hotel to stay at with all of its amenities and excellent service. Cribs were available upon request which are basically the Graco Pack N Play playpens so that was basically the only aspect that may have been subpar. Other Suttons we have stayed at provided a beautifully set up wooden crib with a charming baby sheet set but this was not the case here at this particular Sutton. Overall it was a great experience and we were very pleased with our stay here!

Christopher T.

Yelp
This is a very nice property, and you should totally stay here. When you walk in you are greeted immediately by a concierge. He asks your name and walks you over to the desk, where he offers you a coffee or a glass of wine while you wait. We had a very nice suite with a kitchenette and cooked all our own meals. There's an oven and equal-sized fridge and freezer, as well as a full-size dishwasher. Washer and dryer, too! I did take one star off because of a few things. These aren't major things, but little 'attention-to-detail' items that just niggle at you. Lightbulbs and fixtures. This one really surprised me, for such a high-end property. One lightbulb burning out I can understand, but a fixture hanging by the wires from the ceiling? Huh, oh well. I'm sure they'll get it when we leave. Half-cleaned mirrors. Sure, it's not a big thing, but it's noticeable. Not enough information in the room. Why doesn't the little book have a room service menu in it? Coffee station. Four adults, a 12-cup coffee maker, and only eight packets of sugar. No little blue bin. We're from the city and we separate our waste. This pristine property in the Rockies throws everything away? Dusty. To be fair, perhaps this room hasn't been rented in a few weeks. I'll give them the benefit if the doubt on this one. So overall, not bad. I'd recommend staying here, and you'll definitely have a great experience.

Michael B.

Yelp
From check in (by Gary) in to check out (JC), an excellent experience. The room exceeded expectations, including a 'mud room/laundry room' in suite, which is great for storing gear. Great views, well laid out and well furnished, and as a another reviewer noted, very clean. While this was just a stop-over, we could happily return for more time. We also enjoyed the town of Revelstoke. Downside was while there was a jacuzzi pool (with sunset view), I don't think there was a regular pool.

Laika R.

Yelp
Great place to stay! The place wasn't as busy when we got there since most days that we were there was raining. Although the suite that we got was way better that I expected. We originally wanted to get the deal that came in with a ride for the Pipe Coaster but for apparent reason it wasn't available online anymore although we ended up getting a pretty decent deal out of it. We got the Savour Sutton Promotion wherein you get to pick 2 out of the three options to be included in the package. (1) Complimentary breakfast for two (2) early check-in at 12pm and late check out 2pm (3) $15 coupon off the Rockford bar and grill. We picked of course the complimentary breakfast for 2, wherein we took the gondola going up to the top of the mountain and there, a lodge called Revelation where in it was a breakfast buffet. IN the morning you can literally see the panorama of the clouds and the mountains, it was beautiful! The second option we picked was the early check in and late check out. We arrived there on a Sunday and it was around 10am (way too early to check-in) so the receptionist asked for my phone number so they could contact me when our suite is ready and they've told me that they'll be letting the housekeeping know that it is to be priority. Since we were tired from the trip we hung out for a little bit in the lobby and found 2 desktop computers, which served as a big help since we weren't familiar with Revelstoke's tourists attractions we started searching up places where we could go to past time. I got a phone call around 1:40pm later that day saying our suite was ready! They upgraded our suite from studio room to one bedroom and we were very pleased! Everything was there, complete kitchen, one bedroom, a balcony that is overlooking of the mountains and the pipe coaster along with the gondola. Bathroom was pretty decent, there were tv outside where the sofa bed is and another inside the bedroom. It almost felt like you're at home for it having everything, it even came in with a laundry room. I was very happy with room that we got! I didn't expect it to have everything. Lucky us, my boyfriend cooks good so all we had to was buy groceries and we can cook our dinner in our hotel room! Staff were also quick to respond with any of our requests and they were polite. It felt like every staff in this hotel was very easy to approach and to talk to since they're all very friendly! Our experience with their pool/jacuzzi was good! it was at night time and since it was the time of the year that isn't as busy, we had the whole pool and jacuzzi all to ourselves! I highly recommend this hotel. I loved their service, their suites and facilities! We are definitely coming back here for sure!

Joe B.

Yelp
This place is your ideal ski lodge. They have lockers for your ski equipment with tables setup to wax and sharpen your edges. The one bedroom place we stayed in has a laundry/wet room for storing your ski equipment. Then place itself was equipped with a full kitchen and nice living room. The bathroom was large with a separate tub and shower. Everything was clean and the service was amazing. Would definitely go back again.

Bruce C.

Yelp
Quick one night stay, but great hotel. Very nice room, helpful staff, GREAT BEDS!! Went for bike ride with son on free bikes provided by hotel. Only quibbles are spotty WiFi in rooms, and unheated (very cold) outdoor pool. Otherwise, great stay.
