My expectations were really high after reading all the reviews, but overall I'd rate my experience of staying here for 6 nights for work a 3.5.
What's good: Comfortable, spacious rooms, location with street car (tram) stop right outside. Beds are comfortable and rooms are individually heated which is helpful in winter. The cleaning was decent, some dust on ledges.
What wasn't so good: the restaurant. It's acting like it's completely independent of the hotel and doesn't prioritise guests at all. Breakfast is not included and it's in no way a 'normal' hotel breakfast. It is overpriced and pretentious (see photo of menu), with no options for someone who just wants a simple breakfast before a day's work. There are hardly any vegetarian options, and nothing vegan. Everything is unnecessarily complicated. Just do a 25 or 20 dollar breakfast buffet on week days at least and you'd make way more from hotel guests and it would be easier for your staff. As it was, I had to get breakfast out almost every day. So inconvenient. There is also no room service from the restaurant, which business travellers appreciate. I didn't eat any other meals here either.
I didn't have a great check in experience, the member of staff was from a sister hotel because it was the staff party so I can't rate him badly but it meant he gave me the wrong card holder with QR info about a different hotel and the wrong WiFi information. Rest of staff were fine but I can't say I had the great experience of other guests.
