Small museum but is worth a visit if you are in the area. Good exhibits many with English titles. The videos of swordsmanship, spears, riding horses while using weapons was great. Walk the wall. Enjoy.

Interesting museum on the palace, its restoration (there are some original plans on display) and the fortresss. I also liked the miniatures. Admission is free. There are two floors. Should take you 30-60 mins. Please note there is very little information in English (not zero, just little).

The Suwon Hwaseong Museum is a compact yet informative destination that offers a deep dive into the history of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and King Jeongjo. You can expect to spend around 1 hour exploring the exhibits, which provide a well-curated overview of the fortress's significance and the architectural innovations of the time. While much of the architecture within the museum is a remake, it effectively helps visitors understand the historical context and importance of Suwon Hwaseong. The displays are engaging and provide valuable insights into King Jeongjo's vision and the fortress's role in Korean history. Overall, it's a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in learning more about this fascinating period.

Very cool place for visit. You can walk around the fortress. Too many activites is there. Traditional with the house, the people... The Korean old people really like hiking. You can see too many of them when you visit this place. They can not speak English but they very friendly and helpful. They use body language to helping you. Last time I went. I met the old man. Last time I went on winter. It’s too cool, but the sun is also very good. Around the fortress. you can see the park, lake was freeze, it’s make me fulfilled@@

I like the architecture of this museum. It has both inside and outside display. Some parts of this museum is under construction at this moment, and they’ll reduce the entry fee at the beginning of May 2024. This is one of the must see place while you are in Suwon.

After visiting hwaseong palace, this is small museum you can visit for free. Requires around one hour to see. There are much bigger better museums in Seoul. However at suwon level, this is good
