Fastastic roti. Love the duck if you are adult enough to handle bones, if not the chicken and shrimp are phenomenal. Side of veggies is always a delight.

I should be ashamed of myself. I lived here for over 30 years, and it's my first time coming to Suzy's Roti Parlour. My fiance and I have been talking about going, and we did yesterday. Let me tell you first we are foodies and very picky about what we eat and especially eat out. With that being said, we would give 10⭐️stars. The welcoming we felt, the service/ knowledge, prices, and the delicious food was "awesome sauce"! We got curry 😋& stew chicken😋 w/ roti, plantains, chicken double😋 and tamarind balls (Thank you) 🤗😋. We are thrilled to find a place close by with delicious food, great service, and a nice outdoor space. We will definitely be a regular customer

I’ve never seen oxtail doubles and I was excited and ordered twice in one day! Aloe pie with shrimp and bake n salt fish was a bit dry tho.

Suzy is the sweetest woman—she reminds me of a mom who will take care of you and feed you! Grab a rice and beans plate or roti, and take it to eat the park for a perfect meal. Highly recommended. The food is flavorful and worth the price. I try to eat vegetarian when I can and the veggie plate feels clean and nutritious. Thank you Suzy, and for the double for my husband! We will be back!

10/10, food is amazing and the service is absolutely top tier. The portions are big and the cuisine is made with absolute love. Highly recommend.

The purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this restaurant in any way, shape, or form. That being said, I hope you take this review as an informative review. Atmosphere: Tiny, clean restaurant. There is not much room to move around. If you think of dining in, you should go there on a nice summer day because they have a few tables outside. Yes, there are no indoor tables. I would also suggest ordering ahead so you won't have to wait while more people get in. Service: Service was prompt. However, I do have to say, if you don't find the cashier lady on front, you're going to have to wait until she gets back. She helps her coworkers wrap up orders. Food: Okay, so I ordered the Rice & Beans Curry Shrimp and a Tamarind Ball. I won't lie, food was pretty good, except for the tamarind ball. Pretty good does not mean delicious, though. Price: Honestly, I don't feel like the quality, quantity, and flavors of the food justify their high prices. Don't get me wrong, their food is not bad. As I've said before, their food is pretty good. However, I believe flavors should be on another level to charge those prices.

Marné Ordered their 3 selection special: chickpeas, goat meat, and, goat doubles. Enjoyed all three. Right amount of hotness flavorful and filling. My only negative is the delivery man put my food on the floor and did not follow directives for ringing my bell so I could get my food. It sat outside my door for over 10 min.

The food is full of flavor. Caribbean spices are a must! I ordered Suzy's bacchanal special with roti and it was delicious. Delivery was on time.

Google
A tiny shop with a sweet owner. Luckily it was a nice sunny day so we got to sit outside and enjoy our food. The prices were fair for the delicious food. The mac n cheese was my favorite, never had a mac n cheese that was custrudy, really yummy. The chickpea doubles were also delicious.

Yelp
So delicious!!! This local roti shop is such a joy, it's small and doesn't have inside seating but pre-ordering and picking up is just as good! My beef patty, curry chicken roti, and curry goat roti were ready to pick up within minutes. Food was well packaged and steaming hot. I love how homey and warm the curry was, the taste is familiar and very seasoned. Pepper sauce was my favorite thing to pour onto the roti. And I WILL be getting the beef patty again. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our take out meal so much, we'll be back!

Yelp
When I'm craving roti but feeling too lazy to leave home, Suzy's Roti Parlour never lets me down. The veggie roti is my go-to order, with a delicious mix of perfectly stewed spinach, butternut squash, chickpeas, and soft curried potatoes. I always get it dhalpuri style with the grounded split pea filling between the layers of roti. I'm also a big fan of the doubles, with that soft flatbread and the curried chickpea mixture inside. The chicken doubles are also tasty. Get these with all the sauces, which add a hefty dose of flavor: tangy, a little sweet, and a little spicy. As for other items, my coconut curry beef roti had a lot of randomly tough or chewy bits, but the taste of the coconut milk curry is spot on. The curried mushroom patty was tasty but small and comparatively overpriced. I also tried their Trini holiday fruit cake (or black cake), which was again kinda tiny for the price, but it was dense, fruity, and quite good. I'm so thankful that this spot is within ordering distance.

Yelp
This food makes me do a happy dance! I swear it feeds my soul. The veggie options are so flavorful, and I dream of the tamarind balls baby. Thank you Suzy.

Yelp
Food is delicious. I ordered for delivery and the way the food was packaged I was happy. Then the food looks yummy but even better it is yummy. The food has the flavor you are looking for. Just enough spices. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Still consistently good. Great portion size, great taste. Pick up or order delivery directly from them to save 3rd party fees.

Yelp
It's not that easy to find Trinidadian food in general throughout the states, so we're so blessed to be in New York where you can access a wide range of food from other countries. (And authentic as well!) Everyday feels like a food tour of finding unique places with food we haven't indulged. The shop is small, consisting of just a counter inside for ordering. No indoor seating, but there is a small display of premade patties and pastries you can grab as well as drink options. They do have a nice extensive outdoor seating to the right of the entrance. We got the: - chickpea double 10/10 - currant roll 9/10 - Suzy's Bacchanal Roti 11/10. WOW! - Suzy's special Sorrel 8/10 - Suzy's special Mauby 1/10 acquired taste The chickpea double might sound simple and not look visually appealing when packed to go but it's so flavorful! I was amazed by the seasoning and for $3 it's a fun snack to try. My favorite was the Suzy's Bacchanal Roti platter. You get a mix of different meats (oxtail, chicken, goat) and veggies (spinach, squash, potatoes) I might have missed some other items, but the stew sauce was so tasty. I wanted to cook some rice to clearly taste the contract of a simple unflavored rice with the flavorful sauce. The dish does come with a roti on the side, you can choose between dhalpuri (ground split peas inside) and buss-up-shut (plain). If you don't want roti, they also have the rice & bean option. For the home made drinks, I like the sorrel - which was mostly hibiscus based with hint of star anise. It was a very refreshing drink for the summer. The Mauby took me by surprise. My partner and I both agree our first reaction when we took our first sip was that it tasted like shampoo. I would say if you're a first timer, the Mauby is definitely an acquired taste. I think the ingredient in the drink comes with health benefits - but I just can't get over the strange after taste. The currant roll is a nice pastry at the end to satisfy your sweet craving after the delicious savory meal. I highly recommend to give this place a try and spread the words! Can't wait to come back again and bring friends to tryout this place.

Yelp
Sigh. The quality and the size of the food has gone downhill. This is not the same. Sigh. Flavorless doubles, with a teaspoon of chickpeas, and small AF Roti is wild for the price. Sigh.
google avatar

Christian Y.

Yelp
The food is very flavorful and the prices aren't bad. They don't have indoor seating anymore, but there are a few tables and a bench outside. There's a small counter by the entryway and they bring your order out to you once it's ready. The outdoor seating is cute and great in the spring/summer if you want to eat there. On my last visit I had the stewed chicken roti, oxtail double, and the mac pie. The meats were very tender and juicy and the mac pie was pretty good, too.
google avatar

Anne R.

Yelp
Came for the Vegan Doubles. Tried both the veggie $5 and the chickpea $3, then had to order two more they were so good. The spicing is sweet and full of flavor with a hint of herb and curry. Also tried the house Sorrel tea / juice $5 and it was a perfect compliment. Service was friendly and fast, and food was ready in less than 5min. The indoor section is just a kitchen and take out order counter, but there are tables outside on the side of the building with a little bit of green astroturf and fun flare to make it worth staying to eat if the weather allows. Lots of delivery people picking up during the afternoon visit- so see if they deliver to you too!

Yelp
This place was a staple when I was in highschool and decided to get it again recently. Suzy's does not disappoint. The food is so flavorful and is always packed to the brim. The service is friendly and quick. 1. Oxtail roti with Dhalpuri (8/10): The roti was very large and had a lot of meat inside it. It was perfectly paired with the roti. Watch out for the bones inside! The meat was soft and tender. 2. Mom's Mac Pie (7/10): This was delicious but was missing some flavor and definitely not as good as I remember it to be. 3. Stew Chicken Rice & Beans (8.5/10): The meat was soft and tender and was super flavorful. The rice and beans were delicious. This was definitely one of my favorite things to get from here. Definitely a place I would go back to! It was a more pricey than I remember but they really try to give you as much as they can.

Yelp
Very busy. No one out front so ring that bell. The doubles were ok. But so many better ones elsewhere that are better that I won't get these again but the best in this neighborhood.

Yelp
Ordered delivery - Great service and sensitive to my allergies. Also AMAZING food. Definitely will be back next time I'm in town.

Sandra A.

Yelp
I ordered a shrimp roti. It was all dough and little shrimp and not flavored well at all not worth the money too expensive I paid $17 and then I bought the sorrow which was seven and that wasn't that great either. Altogether I probably paid like $30 to have it delivered via DoorDash worst meal ever.
google avatar

Evelyn L.

Yelp
I've always wanted to stop at this place and yesterday I finally did. I bought chickpea doubles and chicken doubles and they were delicious. I definitely need to come back and have a meal! Also, customer service was amazing, the lady at the front gave a good explanation on what doubles were to my friend who had never tried it before.
google avatar

Yelp
Once upon a time I loved this place, but man oh man how times have changed. Where do I begin... The bake and salt fish was a huge disappointment. The bake itself was flavorless and pale. The only saving grace was the salt fish, but they were stingy with it. The roti was wrapped like a burrito. The flavor was ok but it wasn't anything special. Pholourie: was good, but they forgot my tamarind sauce and pepper Current roll: the only thing that made me happy. I'm not sure what happened to this place, but it's a hard pass for me.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Lomein was great very tasty! Boneless roti was not. Very bland and very small Bake and saltfish were tasty but the bake was as white as wonder bread.

Caroidious N.

Yelp
This is by far the worst food I've eaten in a while. (Dry, no seasoning , no taste just awful) I must say the service was great . Unfortunately it's a no for me..

Bevfrombedstuy A.

Yelp
Delivery is flawless and amazingly timely seeing that I'm living some distance from their location. Always delicious food with great portions!!

K W.

Yelp
Their food is amazing!! We get oxtail over rice, curry chicken roti and curry chicken doubles. They have 2 tables outside but not really a sit down restaurant. They are super nice too. They are closed Mondays and Sundays much to our dismay. It's a little pricey but worth it. It's always crowded with people waiting to pick up their orders.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best spots in this area! Absolutely delicious food and friendly service. I've been going there for years and have never had a meal less than stellar. The curry shrimp, the roti, the doubles, the curry chicken, the vegetables, the sides... everything is awesome. They have a nice outdoor seating area as well. Highly recommend.

Anna R.

Yelp
This is my first time trying Trini food. I really enjoyed the Curry Goat with Roti. Was craving curry for so long and this satisfied my tastebuds. The price per portion size is great. I got one order for two and it was just the right amount if you want to avoid having leftovers. I ordered a side of veggies, loved the squash super flavourful and added a nice sweetness in between bites of curry goat and roti. For me the spinach was a bit salty but that's only if eating it on its own. The chickpeas were good too. The lady taking my order was kind, patient, and helpful. The spot has an aesthetic branding with quaint gated outdoor dining away from the main road. Despite it being near a high traffic area the gate makes it a comfortable and cute spot to chat over some food. Will definitely come to get roti and curry here again when I'm craving it.
google avatar

Imani H.

Yelp
The food is addictive ... I eat here a few times a month ... the bacchanal special & plantains is my go to ... the macaroni pie is incredible. Love this place
google avatar

Yelp
Really beautiful homestyle customer service. I felt welcomed and really enjoyed my food. Some of the best roti in New York .well seasoned curry.
google avatar

Kira M.

Yelp
The food is good but EVERYTIME we order they NEVER NEVER NEVER send the sauces that we ask for. It ruins the whole experience. Get it together SUZY,,,send the damned sauces!!
google avatar

Yelp
First time trying doubles and I absolutely loved it!! Wish they weren't so small! I got the Chickpea ($3.95) while my boyfriend got the Chicken ($5.95). I was obsessed with how light and airy the flatbread is... next time I'm getting at least 3 of them to myself. We also ordered the Curry Goat w/ Rice & Beans ($14.95) and the Oxtail w/ Rice & Beans ($16.95). Both so delicious. The goat was meaty and seasoned perfectly. I only wish there was a bit more fresh cabbage salad on the side (I love me my veggies too). For the oxtail, my boyfriend regretted not getting a Large. Tasted great, but not enough food/meat for the price. We used Grubhub to pickup since we had some credits on the app, but will definitely try to order directly next time. I will deffff be back for those doubles.

Yelp
Ran across this restaurant while exploring BK. Picked up a couple doubles and a veggie roti. Legit Trinidadian cuisine. Inside only has space for ordering and pick up, but there is a small outdoor dining space. Food was great, staff was friendly.
google avatar

Cinthia K.

Yelp
Came by here for lunch with some colleagues when we were in the area. I got an order of their veggie roti, which was pretty good and very filling. I ended up not being able to eat it all in one sitting. There wasn't too much seating indoors, though they had some outdoor seating available. Service was friendly. Would consider coming back here if I happened to be in the area again.

Mo U.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this spot especially since it's in the Flatbush area I expected it to be good. They charge $6 for a doubles when it's usually 1-3$ elsewhere. The food taste like it's been watered down to attract a different clientele.
google avatar

Ann S.

Yelp
Order suzy's for delivery with my work family and would def order from them again. We really enjoy the doubles, the one with meat/shrimp was more flavorful than the chickpea itself. Also tried the beef stew roti and the curry goat roti which was great, due to delivery the roti was falling apart a bit but still flavorful and delicious. They also have some special sodas form trinidad solos, tried the cream soda, flavor was very interesting, not much fuzz but yummy still.
google avatar

Patricia N.

Yelp
Very good and well seasoned roti's!!! Also love their doubles. Every time I'm here I order a roti and 2 doubles for to save for later time. FYI the doubles heat up well in the air fryer.

Robert ..

Yelp
Beef Roti and doubles were good. No parking, wait might be long. Busy business so order ahead.

The S.

Yelp
The food is delicious. Suzy's smile lights up the store and you feel like you're back home. Definitely would order again. Highly recommend.

Marc S.

Yelp
Great food and people. We had all the types of doubles and 2 Roti's. All were delicious

Jay L.

Yelp
Hidden Gem in BK I don't know how I missed this gem of a location for so many years. Amazing customer service - Suzy and all the staff meet you with warmth - just as you would want from the people fixing your food. 8+ years and not many alkaline based eating options in Bklyn where the location is clean and welcoming like Suzy's. The food is amazing and while with my restrictions I won't be able to eat here every time I'm in Bklyn, but this will surely be my go to spot. All chickpea options are delicious. Food is seasoned really well and really fresh.

Diondra B.

Yelp
I get food in the area often but never tried this place so decided to change it up and come here. I got a shrimp roti. Food was good and nice service

Kim S.

Yelp
The fried bake was white..the Saltfish was tasteless...I think it had some type of cabbage slaw in it...It's not the traditional way my parents made it our household. The curry Goat was way too spicy although I was asked if I wanted pepper sauce I assumed it came on the side...it was more bone than meat, the potatoes were not cut in cubes rather it appeared to be almost half of a whole potato. The Macaroni pie didn't have enough seasoning or cheese...it looked as if Kraft Mac and cheese would look if you just baked it. I was highly disappointed in the food. On a positive note the employee was friendly and Service was good the apple Jay & Banana solo were on point!
google avatar

mo c.

Yelp
It doesn't taste like traditional roti. It was actually sweet on the inside. I did not enjoy it.
google avatar

Crystal J.

Yelp
The first time I ordered was through Grubhub. Today I stopped by again with family for us to try more of the menu items together. The chicken roti was decent but lacked spice and heat when it came to the authentic Trinidadian food I'm used to (fyi, I'm Trini.) I ended up adding pepper sauce at home when I received both others. The Dalpuri was well-made for the chicken roti and the presentation was very neat, but the chickpea doubles and pholourie were bland and the doughs were too heavy- they lacked the light and airy textures that these items are known for. It seems like the preparation is catered towards folks who can't handle spicy food. It's great to have this option for newcomers, but it falls short for natives when "extra pepper" is still very mild. Prices are higher than the average Trini restaurant in New York (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but when the quality doesn't quite match, it's disappointing. Overall, this place might be a good introduction for people who want to try Caribbean food without the heat or richer spices. If you're looking for something more true to the Trini name, I'd definitely recommend TrinCiti.

Yelp
I rate this place top Roti Spot in Brooklyn. The ambience is great, the staff are friendly. The food is AUTHENTIC... & trust me I've tried some other roti shops & this one will always be my number 1. I will walk in the rain to get roti when I have a craving
google avatar

Yelp
Ate here for the first time today. Great chicken curry roti, and doubles but they honestly have one of the best potato salad I've ever had. Will definitely be back!

Morlene C.

Yelp
After my last visit to Suzy's Roti Parlour, I wrote about the amazing chickpea doubles, how the smell of curry lured me into the shop and how happy I was to walk away with a freshly made snack for just 2 dollars. I vowed to return for a more substantial roti, and here I am, in post-roti bliss, here to extoll the virtues of Suzy's again. For most of the business's life, they were not set up to offer delivery, and any purchase below $10 required cash. Pandemic life has made it too difficult for them to survive on the few walk-ins alone, so I took advantage of the first week they offered delivery. The food was delivered quickly, packaged really well, and the best part? They threw in a couple of their amazing chickpea doubles that I love so much in for free. Talk about value! Their curry shrimp roti was amazing, full of flavor, spices, protein, and was probably large enough to eat over two meals. I made myself uncomfortable by eating everything in one sitting, but the flavors made it hard to do anything else but eat. My partner couldn't get enough of their coconut curry beef roti, and their food has convinced us to skip all the many roti shops in the neighborhood for Suzy's, the best in town by far.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Food and service was incredible! I got my order quick and it was so flavorful and fulfilling
google avatar

Tayla B.

Yelp
I was in search of a good veggie Roti in Brooklyn and I wanted to try something out of my local norm. It's been a while since having Roti. I decided to go with Suzy's and it wasn't a fail. Food was delivered nice and warm and fast. Suzy's is 20 min away from me so delivery was a plus. The food is great quality. I can taste the pumpkin as I write this review and my order was days ago. :) Tasty healthy eats. I had a veggie Roti and regular double.
google avatar

Marianne D.

Yelp
I used to frequent this shop when there was a prior owner. To my delight, the dishes at this establishment remain scrumptious and flavorful. Had the beef roti which had good chunks of meat just at the right consistency. We also had small order of sides and some plantains. The plantains could be crispier but they satisfied my cravings nonetheless.

Yelp
Every Friday is take out night. My hunny and I alternate between who buys dinner and from where. He told me about Suzy's Roti Parlour a weeks back followed by a Yelp link. I've been salivating about the menu since then. I decided to order oxtail, rice and beans, with a side of macaroni pie. My hunny ordered the boneless chicken roti which is served with dark meat chicken, and potato served in a dhal puri roti - burrito style. First thing I thought was wow they give you a healthy portion for takeout. I was not expecting such a decent sized meal. For starters the cabbage that was served was not only wilted but looked like Romaine lettuce chopped up. Of course I tossed it. I couldn't risk getting sick. Although my oxtails and seasoned rice were delicious. I would've preferred less fat and more meat. The seasoned rice was delicious it didn't need any gravy. I was surprised that the oxtail didn't come in gravy. I wish it did. I don't consider myself a macaroni connoisseur but I know great macaroni when I taste it. Growing up I had the honor of being blessed with Haitian style macaroni pie and American macaroni pie. Unfortunately, Suzy's macaroni pie was bland and lacked any real flavor. Supposedly it contained three different cheeses but I couldn't taste it. The macaroni pie was on the albino side. I would've preferred for the pie to be darker in color and more abundant in flavor. My hunny enjoyed his boneless chicken roti. It stated it was a solid choice and could only manage to eat half of it.

Yelp
Yet another covid-era delivery review... We thought we'd change it up and try something different. Trinidadian? Why the hell not. I'd say you really gotta know what to get here (we didn't). So what's good: the chicken curry, shrimp with rice and beans, and of course the roti. Also, the "doubles" with the garbanzo beans was a revelation. Scrumptious. That said we didn't enjoy the oxtail, goat, or fish bake nearly as much. Just gotta know what to get...

V E.

Yelp
Delicious roti and large portions. We had the oxtail, curry goat, curry chicken and veggie.

Yelp
Consistently good and tasty rotis! Just thinking about them makes me crave one. Perfect for a picnic lunch in Prospect Park! The rotis are filling and delicious. One is an entire meal!

Yelp
Was on the lookout for a quick takeout spot for lunch and walked by Suzy's dozens of times before. Was so hungry I ended up ordering the Curry Goat in roti and Mac Pie. Let's start off with the Mac Pie -- at DOUBLE the original price ($3 to now $7) it was the saltiest cube of Mac 'n' Cheese I've ever eaten. Texture was great and it was nice and hot, but good lord it was a salt pie. The Curry Goat in Roti -- nearly took out all my teeth biting into it. Realizing it was all BONES. The flavor and texture of the meat overall was stunning but absolutely need to be clear about labeling or de-boning the meat (photos attached). I love bone-in meat but this was totally caught off guard. Would have been seriously good over rice, but not in a roti. Roti -- was totally falling apart, soggy, and gritty underneath. The flavor was great, as was the top side texture-wise, but Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood would have a f'kin cow. For $18-20 for lunch I'm never going back. Disappointing given the flavors were spot on and service was quick. :/
