Svalbard Hotell | Lodge

We had a great two room’s apartment in the next block so was not affected by the noise. Spacious rooms & kitchenette with full facilities great for families. Just that you have to walk up the upper floors as no elevator. The shower area could just add a little raise strip to stop the water from flowing into the dry area. Airport pick up and drop off conveniently just outside main block. Groceries just two blocks away. Staff also very friendly.

We stayed here for two nights before going on an trip with Basecamp Explorer. The apartment had two bedrooms and a good sized living room with a well equipped kitchen. There is a washing machine in the bathroom.|Check in was at the Svalbard Hotell just a few metres away. The airport bus stops in front of the hotell, so very easy to find. Our apartment was on the second floor (1st if you are from the UK), up a short flight of stairs. Dishwasher was broken and ful of dirty dishes for the duration of our stay. Apartment was clean, but common areas of the Lodge needed a good clean.|A plus, or minus, is that the apartments are directly over the Svalbar pub which stays open late. Did not affect our sleep.|Unless you pepare your own breakfast, there are not really any alternatives to breakfast at the Svalbard Hotell. That is is expensive, but excellent.|Lodge is in the centre of Longyearbyen and you can easily walk to most of the shops and attractions.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is very conveniently located near supermarket and restaurant all are walking distance. Spacious room with separate dining and living area. We are allowed to keep our luggage in the room even thought the checkin time is in the afternoon.

The hotel was clean and centrally located in Longyearbyen, but it was overpriced. For example, I was proved one bath towel for a two person shower room, no tissues, and the window shade did not close probably (critical in summer). The staff was polite and accommodating (when they were available and at the desk) and the venue was attractive and modern. The breakfast was good.

Lovely accommodation with snug comfy beds and adequate living space for a family. Located in the centre of town too! We had a small issue (leaking dishwasher) and almost as soon as I reported it someone came to fix it (Brendan I think his name was), we were even offered a room switch immediately and were shown real kindness and high quality service. Thank you. |The only draw back was that the room doesn’t have a microwave- which would be really handy for reheating food etc.

The apartment was very spacious and well-equipped. Everything we needed in the kitchen and a washing machine in the bathroom, including a clothesline. Space was comfortable and window coverings were nearly black-out. Only complaint was the loud music until 2am coming from the nightclub downstairs. Earplugs are a must. Grocery and wine store just next door. Check-in and out were easy. Main reception has a nice living room and optional breakfast.

Simply, spacious apartment with all the facilities you need. Perfect for families or group of friends. The kitchen is well equipment and the location is great! We travelled with a small child so really appreciated the washing machine!! And we had a stunning view from our room facing the sea and sunset.

Great reception by adorable Christine last night. She was very professional and friendly. About the hotel: very clean and cozy. I loved the lobby! Comfortable bed, I slept like a baby. Delicious breakfast. Our room faced a lone mountain so the view was great!
