Svaneke Hostel Ltd.

stayed here for 5 days and had a terrible experience. the shower would be warm for max 2 minutes so I basically just had cold showers. the rooms were dirty and small I felt a little trapped. if you are on a very tight budget I still would not recommend this there are definitely better and cheaper places could go to. there was also poop on the toilet cover and the bathroom looked like it had nearly been cleaned. the food was also not the greatest.

Stayed in thi hostel for one week in August. We had an awesome time! First of all, Svaneke was in my opinion the nicest town on Bornholm. Nice and quaint and not too touristy. The hostel lies a bit on the edge of town, not too far from the town and also close to the ocean and tennis courts. The rooms were very nice and each had a private bathroom. The kitchen was well-equipped and the staff was very helpful. The owner lives right across the way and really seems to care about customer service at his hostel and wants to make sure everyone has a good time. The breakfast, while extra, is VERY good. I highly recommend it. Only problem we ha the whole week was a screaming toddler in the room next to us, and for some reason there was a door between their bathroom and our room so it got a bit loud. That is hardly the fault of the hostel of course. Bottom line, if you're coming to Bornholm stay in this hostel in Svaneke; you're gonna love it!!

When my husband told me he booked this place, I silently screamed. How wrong was I.||Friendly service from the owner and very helpful! He gave us complimentary lunch the next day of wraps he was trying out. We had a big room with a huge bed and a view of the ocean. He gave us a room with an adjoining room for an upgrade and told us no one will be there. Clean fresh sheets! Hot shower! Highly recommend this place. The breakfast was ginormous, everything you could think of they had. Yes, there were kids there but they were very quiet and polite, good parenting is practiced here.

Stayed one night while biking around Bornholm. Very friendly and helpful staff with good advice for our limited stay. The room was large, but the standard you'd expect from a hostel. Good breakfast, walking distance to town centre.

Stayed here for 1 night and we had a really bad experience! We were told upon check-in that they were having a birthday party and that there might be a bit of noise from that. We went to bed around 22.00 - 23.00 and we could hear people talk from the party but no big deal. But later they put on very loud music with all windows open and it was like laying in the middle of they party. This continued until my husband at 02.30 went out to ask them to turn the music off - around 03.00 it was finally quiet and we could get some sleep. The next morning upon check-out we made the owner aware of the loud music and noise from the party till early morning. He got crossed at us for complaining and said that thats how its suppose to sound like when you have a party! No apologies what so ever!! Anyways - sure it was more quiet downtown Svaneke than at the hostel out side town;-) How can you run a hostel where costumers are specifically coming to get a good night sleep and then have a private party till 03.00 in the morning. = Not service minded what so ever!!!

Very nice hostel (vandrehjem), very clean, very spacious rooms with comfy beds. Disposition of the place is nice and cozy, well equipped kitchen, nice games area.. Highly recommended

Overall at great experience. Svaneke is a wonderful city. The rooms are pretty standard, but I took a very good shower. Overall nice staff and a fine place to stay overnight.

The beds were a bit hard and overall the stay was a bit pricey, but in general a really good experience. The staff was super nice 👌
