Sven's Viking Pizza

Ordered takeaway (pickup) pizzas for dinner. Pizzas took 20-25 min to be ready. Average taste. Base wasn’t crispy (undercooked/doughy even?) though the crust was crunchy and well cooked. My friend didn’t love it but finished a medium regardless. Was heard saying “I’m going to feel gross after this”.

We got takeaway, two large pizzas. A pepperoni and a fro and a side garlic and cheese pizza. Base were barely brown, below average. Not worth the fullprice unless you have an Eatclub deal

As a Swede I felt it only be fair to leave a honest review. 😊 The sauces aren’t Swedish, nor is the pizza salad. I can guarantee that after eating pizzas throughout all of Sweden. The pizzas still tasted good though, but not over the moon. Customer service was almost non-existent. We got our pizzas in boxes even though we ate in, and didn’t get any napkins. Still worth a visit though if you’re just like me and miss the Swedish standard. ✌️

Pizza was below average, particularly the dough and crust. Base bready and crust like eating a cheap, wafer thin cracker. 40 mins late and cold. Also didn’t think it would be 3am kebab meat on the pizza. Inedible. Johnny Gios is better by a long way. Won’t order from Sven’s again.

Very disappointed to see the downfall of this chain. 10 years ago they were masters of the thin base, now best avoided. Get the toppings sorted guys. Thin cut meat, distributed evenly... It's hard not to want them to fix this, but I suspect they are too far gone. :(

It's Sunday night. I ordered a pizza at 17:27. The service said 30min delivery from 3kms away. It's now 18:40 and still no pizza. I've been on the phone twice, first time 25mins ago and they said it's next to be picked up. Second call 15 mins ago they say it's left 5 mins ago. It's still not here. Worst customer service and delivery. I'll take it as a loss, I've phoned Pizzavelly 5 mins ago and ordered. I'll walk and pick it up in 15mins.

Early 2022 Sven pizza was exceptional. My last dining experience was mid 2022 and the pizza was inedible. I never went back. Disappointing reviewing the other comments, I can only assume the business has changed ownership and has struggled to make a decent pizza. Sad really, the original company made extremely good pizza. RIP Sven’s.

Love Sven’s thin base pizza so much that I waited around Sydney for 3 hours until they opened just to have their pizza for my car journey back to Melbourne. If you like thin base pizza you need to try! Delicious

We have continued to order here nearly every Friday night. We have seen the quality deteriorate every week. Every single time lately there has been an issue with our order, and we all end up hungry, disappointed and having spent WAY too much for cold, flavorless, soggy pizza. Tonights order was the final straw. The picture we are attaching is what was just delivered to us...and its literally inedible. This is one of two pizzas we ordered that look the same... Truly a shame as we really loved Svens when they did pizza properly.

Sven! How the hell do you get that base to rise and yet still be thin and crispy? It is genius. 'FRÖ - Worshipped as a Male Fertility God' is a cracking pizza consisting of Beef Eye Fillet, Bearnaise Sauce, Fresh mushrooms, Onion and Cracked pepper. No wonder it is named after the fertility god. You would certainly bang someone for it when hungry enough! Garlic & Chilli Prawns, Crispy Pancetta, Roma Tomatoes and Chevre Goats Cheese. Seriously Sven?! I thought some of the combos were a joke when I first saw them. Something to shock the Aussies about this strange Swedish pizza. Well, it works. Trust me. Think outside the box and enjoy this unique eatery. Expensive compared to your average pizza joint. Delivery and pickup only. *They have Swedish chocolate too..... Ooohhh Yeah!

Awesome pizza! I love getting Frö and Freja and the garlic pizza is not to be missed either. The base is so crispy and delicious and my whole house loves the Swedish sauce. Every slice is an adventure of flavours and textures, and it really lives up to its tagline: 'Wood fired tastes better'. They also stock Swedish caramel chocolate bars, which are not for everybody but I would really recommend giving them a try! Thanks Sven!
