20 Best Beaches in Europe

"On Adriatic Sea south of Croatia lies Montenegro, a little-known playground for celebrities seeking privacy on European beaches. In the resort-lined Bay of Kotor, all eyes are on Our Lady of the Rocks, a church perched on a picturesque artificial island in the middle of the water. You'll get the best view from Sveti Stefan Beach, where you can lounge in the sun on the pink-hued pebble strip and dip your toes in the clear waters." - Travel + Leisure Editors

incredibly beautiful beach, entrance to it is absolutely free, so you can come with your own umbrella. Here is only one restaurant on the territory where you can buy coffee, so it is better to take water or a snack with you

Beautiful beach, clean water, great view. No sunbeds on the right side, so it’s a big hard to survive a sunny day there. Beer at Olivia restaurant is 5,50 euros for 0,4 but it is what it is.

Read for tips/directions 👉🏻 Sveti Stefan Beach is truly one of Montenegro's most beautiful spots. With its iconic island view, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque surroundings, it's perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and especially for watching breathtaking sunsets. Getting there is easy: From Budva center, it's just a 15-20 minute drive. If you prefer public transport, buses run frequently (every 15 minutes) and cost only 2.5 euros per person - just remember to bring cash as cards aren't accepted. The beach has two distinct sides. The left side features a stony shoreline, while the right side has a mix of sand and pebbles - this is where you'll get the best sunset views. I highly recommend renting an umbrella (15 euros) as shade can be limited during peak hours. For dining options, walk up the stairs near the beach to reach the road above. Just 5 minutes away you'll find several excellent restaurants serving fresh seafood and local Montenegrin dishes. Helpful tips: - Arrive early in peak season to secure a good spot - Water shoes are useful due to some rocky areas - Don't forget cash for buses and beach amenities With its natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere, Sveti Stefan Beach is absolutely worth visiting. The stunning views and magical sunsets make it one of my favorite places in Montenegro.

Stunningly beautiful place. Make sure and take a walk around the coast a bit as well to a couple of other lovely, less crowded beaches.

Absolutely stunning place! The beach has breathtaking views of the iconic Sveti Stefan islet, and the water is incredibly clear and refreshing. It’s a fantastic spot to relax, swim, and take amazing photos. Just keep in mind that the beach is quite rocky, so I recommend wearing sandals or water shoes to make it more comfortable. A must-visit if you’re in Montenegro!

Beach paradise!!! This beach is very clean, breathtaking scenic and seriously one of the underrated destinations. Do remember, this is a pebble beach. It has a big car park, guided tours to the inside Sveti Stefan to be booked inside at the guest centre and so on including toilet facilities. Absolute paradise for photoshoots and videos and just to relax admiring the might of nature otherwise 👍
