Svitan Guesthouse

The check-in/check-out policy and procedure is very simple and straight forward. You just enter the property and find a welcoming note with your name and room key. When checking-out, you just have to leave the key in the room's door. Simple and efficient. The owner organised everything in such manner, so you can find your own way around the guesthouse: everything is labled and numbered, instructions and helpful guidlines are all over the place. We left very early, so we did not had breakfast (which you help yourself with form the fridge or cupboards), but the owner suggested to pack something for the road. Room is cozy and warm, beds very comfy. Although the bathroom is shared, it is very clean and well maintained. The property is near the ocean and the walks nearby are offering amazing views. A ride to the airport with the taxi it is roughly 20 euros.

Lovely stay in the guesthouse. The living area is very inviting to hang out with high ceilings and windows all around. You can cook your meals here The town of keflavik is buzzling and up beat next to Reykjavik. Very near the airport Owner is very warm and accomodating. They live next door.

Very nice experience... check-in was a little confusing (and we had a late flight, so worried about making it before midnight), but we had emails with Dagmar assuring us it would be fine, and once we arrived and met her everything was good. The room (we paid extra for the big room with en suite bathroom) was quite comfortable, and the kitchen was unexpectedly very well stocked for breakfast (which is serve yourself, no time constraints -- which was nice, because we wanted an early start to enjoy our short stopover in Iceland) The other guests were unfortunately a little territorial/unfriendly in the kitchen space, but the owner and guesthouse itself were great.

The place is beautiful. Couldn't be more comfortable. It's basically a fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment. Within walking distance to restaurants, cultural exhibits and the best ice cream shop in Iceland. Parking is ample and just 2 steps outside the door. Everyone in the staff is so friendly and hospitable. (We had an early flight in. The previous guests didn't leave till 8, the apartment was ready by 9. That's service! ) I absolutely recommend the Svitan Guesthouse!

Well what can I say. Absolutely perfect!!!wonderful place to stay incredible stop off at point. in regards to get gaining access to all parts of Iceland. Only a few 100m from the guest house itself is the ocean definitely advise you go out in the early hours of the morning to catch the Northern lights myself and my partner will lucky enough to see him twice. the amenities of the guest house absolutely awesome breakfast included just help yourself and the host brilliant, full of great knowledge and advice. 👍👍👍👍

Excellent!! Everywhere is clean, big living room, big bathroom. Due to the flight time, we should check out so early, so he prepare many kind of food in the refrigerator for our breakfast. So sweet. Thank you so much.

Perfect for the night before a flight out when picking someone up at the airport. I had trouble finding it away first--it's on the corner and has a song so don't knock until you've sounds it 😂. Nice little guest house with continental breakfast at any time analogous in the kitchen. My room was next to the kitchen and while I thought I was an early riser, the people making breakfast at 3 am proved me wrong! Other than slightly noisy, it met all of my needs.

Very nice place, well equipped and warm. Correct price. Unfortunately during our stay there was a couple of pigs that left a total mess in the kitchen and bathroom. No respect at all. We feel sorry for the owner because it's not her fault.
