Swakopmund Sands

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Swakopmund Sands. We loved the rooms which met all our expectations. The breakfast was amazing. Location is ideal and excellent for morning/evening walks along the beach. The staff were super supportive and courteous.

Modern hotel near Jetta and city centre just about 10 min walk. Room are good sized with the shower and separate toilet. There is fridge, coffee and tea maker and bottle of fresh water. Breakfast is very nice with some cooked options but there is no restaurant on site. Good restaurant is in the next hotel called I think Anchor point which serves very nice food. Hotel has very cosy downstairs bar with the fireplace and comfy sofas. Staff very young but always smiling and happy to help. They can book your taxi or massage If you want one. I am recommending this hotel.

Such a lovely hotel, well decorated and has wonderful staff! Perfectly located right by the sea. You can have breakfast on the porch over looking the sea. Only stayed for 2 nights, didn't eat here as it's waking distance to a huge restaurant choices and so much to do for tourists and locals within close walking proximity to the hotel. Amazing location if you're visiting. Very quiet street at night. Room was great, service was lovely. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because (and this is probably a one off) but when we returned from a sandy day at Sandwich Harbour, there were no towels left for us when we wanted shower the sand off. And because we got back so late, there was no service. So we used the spare blankets to try off. The next morning we had to leave early, so again had no towels for our morning shower was again used with damp blankets. Not ideal from service forgot to give us towels. Bar that, I'd for sure recommend this hotel 100%

The room was clean and tidy, with strong and reliable wifi access. The staff were also friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

What a lovely hotel. The location is excellent, the pier only a five minute walk along the beach, we could open the windows and listen to the waves crashing at night. Had an amazing nights sleep. We stayed in the cottage so had sea view and felt it was worth it. The decor was lovely inside and a spacious bathroom,||Also loved the plug sockets with different adapters so could fit our electronics in. ||The breakfast was lovely, good selection and the omelette was delicious.||The staff were lovely in all touch points and the security man was really helpful too. ||I will stay here again when I return.

What a lovely hotel. I was so warmly greeted on arrival and the staff in the dining room were so friendly and welcoming each morning. The room was super comfortable and clean, and the bed was great. Lovely little touches, like the tea and coffee station and comfy chairs on the balcony of the room. Extremely scrumptious breakfast every morning. Would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended.

The weather when we visited (end of July) was totally unexpected for the whole group….thinking it would be warmer after the colder desert area….but we were wrong (for a coastal resort town)! Although there was a heater plate on the wall, it wasn’t warm enough for our room (15) and all the others all said their rooms were chilling, especially the washroom which was not heated at all! |It was also very humid in the room (our washed socks didn’t get dry even after two days!) There was no closet but only 4 hooks (and 4 hangers).||They do not serve lunches and dinners but breakfast is good enough (although not a big variety)….especially the friendly egg station lady! Try the table by the fireplace as it can be chilly in the morning!||Nice to have WIFI in room again after coming back from the Dunes area. Walking distance to waterfront and nearby restaurants, shops, banks, and the craft markets (closes at 6pm)||Tips: although the room key is big…..do not leave it to the receptionist when you go out for dinner. The front door is locked after 8:30pm and no more staff is available after that!
