This Café provides an intimate setting for those looking to go on a platonic date or a romantic date. Staying true to the theme of being a French café, the staff will greet you and bid a farewell to you in French, which I appreciated. It's little things like this that matter. There is a wide selection of hot beverages to choose from. I loved their specialty teas that they offer. We ordered the sweet crêpes, I had the classic Nutella with bananas, and it was so delicious. My date had the cinnamon sugar. He is from Belgium, and he said that the crêpes were the best he has ever had.

What a treat! You feel like you are sitting in a cafe is Paris, beautiful decor, friendly staff and delicious crêpes. Well worth a visit for both savoury and sweet pancakes, also great to share as they are large portions.

One of my favourite café experiences. Highly recommend their mocha and bacon and egg crepé

Swan Café serves up better crêpes than I have had in Paris. Lovely decor in a great location.

Popped past by chance and was slightly hesitant given I am not a big fan of French cuisine. But admittedly I was very pleasantly surprised. The new mince crepe (can't remember the exact name) was delicious! I also tried the chicken and mushroom and it was tasty - but little thin on the chicken and heavy handed on the mushrooms! Staff and coffee were great - all round good experience. I do think the prices are a bit steep for what you get, but the restaurant was busy so evidently not much of a deterrent. Would definitely recommend if you want to try something different

I’ve been three times now, and I can definitely recommend the Sud Af crepe for breakfast/brunch. Super tasty and filling! And for dessert, the classic Nutella 100% satisfied me. The ambience inside is quaint, and unlike a lot of cafes, I could actually hear the friends I was with while we talked.

My partner and I decided to visit Swan Café, a charming French-inspired crêperie in Cape Town. Despite the rainy weather, the café was busy, and we waited a few minutes for a table, which seemed to confirm its popularity. The café itself is beautifully decorated with a such a nice vibe. If you love dining somewhere aesthetically pleasing, this café definitely ticks that box. I’m very impressed by their selection of drinks, especially all the interesting teas. I opted for a chai latte with almond milk, albeit their milk alternatives being on the pricier side, it turned out to be one of the best I've had recently at a café. My partner enjoyed a turmeric flat white, which he loved. The perfect warm, comforting, and flavourful drink for cold weather, and a drink I would highly recommend trying. Moving on to the food, while we found the drinks impressive, the same enthusiasm didn't quite extend to our dishes. I ordered the Lili la Gourmande, a sweet crêpe filled with caramelized apple, homemade salted caramel, and almond flakes. While the dish itself wasn't overly rich, I found the salted caramel lacked a distinctive salty punch, and there were only a few slices of caramelized apple, leaving the overall taste a bit underwhelming. My partner opted for the Parisienne, which was essentially a ham and egg crêpe. The taste was as simple as it sounds. He described it as pleasant but somewhat lacking in flavour, and thought it could use a sauce - nice, but not exceptional. As the cafe’s specialty is crepes you do have higher expectations as a customer. However, the service was a highlight. Despite the café being busy, the staff were so friendly and attentive. Our food and drinks arrived promptly, though we did experience a slight delay when requesting the bill. The café is on the smaller side, but very cosy. However, you will be seated quite close to other customers because of the size of the space. In conclusion, Swan Café is a lovely spot to enjoy a well-crafted coffee, tea or drink and perhaps share a crêpe. I may return for the drinks and atmosphere, but I'm not in a rush to revisit for a meal.
