Swasti staff are the nicest! They make effort to remember your name and are just so sweet and generous of heart. The heart & soul of this place is very deep. The staff work hard to take care of your needs. It’s a good location to be close to all the shops and cafes (if that’s what you’re after) though the food at swasti is already so good so why leave? If you’re sensitive to sound you could need ear plugs depending on what cottage you get on the property but it’s like an oasis in the middle of Ubud. So with being close to shops n cafes you sacrifice a little bit of noise.

I want to start by saying that the staff here was amazing—especially Anik, who brought a special energy that truly lit up the place. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you’re staying there specifically to attend a retreat happening on-site. That was my case, and it was definitely convenient since I didn’t have to commute—especially on days when it was pouring rain. However, at least in my room, everything felt extremely neglected and outdated. Everything was stained: the sheets, the towels, even the curtains. It just wasn’t pleasant to spend time in the room. The walls need a fresh coat of paint, and the furniture could really use an update. They also provide a water filter so you have drinkable water at all times—but the water always came out with little particulates of who-knows-what floating in it. I never felt safe drinking it and ended up avoiding it altogether. To be fair, I never raised any of these issues with the staff, so I can’t speak to how they would have handled them. I know it’s a 3-star hotel, so I tried to keep my expectations realistic. However, overall, I think for the price, you could probably find a place in better condition—at least when it comes to the rooms. On a positive note, the restaurant was good!

Definitely a hidden gem. Lovely lush gardens, well maintained. The staff were friendly and caring. It was our "home" for 10 days. We had a massage in the Spa, and joined 2 yoga classes. Both professional and enjoyable experiences.

The food was truly delicious at Swasti Beloved Cafe, the carrot cake stole my heart. By the lotus pond, with soft lights and still water, the place felt like a dream. So romantic, so warm it’s now my favorite place to be, with love in every moment. 🌸🍰💕

✨ An unforgettable stay in a peaceful and enchanting place in Ubud ✨ I had the chance to spend two days at this wonderful hotel, nestled in a serene setting surrounded by trees, flowers, and truly rejuvenating nature. From the moment you arrive, you can feel that this is a special place, where everything is designed for your well-being. The pool is stunning — perfect for relaxing — and the staff is absolutely exceptional: attentive, warm, and always ready to help. Truly five-star service, but with a personal touch that makes all the difference. I had the opportunity to enjoy a facial massage, and it was simply divine. Since it was raining and one of the outdoor activities was canceled, the hotel kindly offered me last-minute spa appointments instead. I really appreciated this thoughtful gesture — they went above and beyond to ensure I still had a beautiful experience, despite the weather. The food was also incredible. I was able to dine in my room, and the meal was worthy of a fine restaurant. Whether you’re vegan or not, you’ll be in for a treat. I was truly spoiled! The rooms are beautiful, tastefully decorated, cozy, and incredibly peaceful — a real sanctuary. This place in Ubud is a hidden gem, absolutely worth discovering. Even just coming for the restaurant or the spa is worth it. The ambiance, the charm — everything reflects authenticity and care. They offer a wide range of wellness treatments, yoga classes, and many activities that make it easy to spend several days there without ever feeling bored — all while deeply reconnecting with yourself. A perfect place to unwind, recharge, be pampered, and enjoy life. I’ll definitely be coming back! Véronique from Canada

My partner and I stayed here for 2+ weeks, and we loved this place so so so much. It had everything we could want or need, and the beauty, peace and simplicity (it really gave the sense of living in harmony with nature's rhythms, and living closely to the land - with the sheep and organic garden and cafe with food directly from the garden, and amazing spa treatments) really helped our nervous systems unwind and relax. We ended up spending the bulk of our days here as it was so settling for us, and we felt so cared for by the staff -- everyone was unbelievably kind, and they really made us feel like family. The restaurant was so heathy and delicious and we never got tired of the very diverse menu! All in all, this was one of the most peaceful places I've stayed in Ubud, and we already can't wait to come back. Thank you for creating such a thoughtful oasis.

Constant noise are the only two words to describe this place. Not "a healing village in paradise" as they falsely claim. We arrived to a huge construction project being done on the property. Loud and unsightly. The animals they keep (inhumanely) bellow a large part of the day, starting around 6am. A couple days prior to arriving, I fell and broke my wrist. We were shown to a room where the steps are extremely unsafe, angled in different directions, just begging for a serious fall! The room was a small, musty-smelling box, and the roof of the patio so low it felt very enclosed. Thankfully, we had booked a second room which was better, but with the constant noise, it was unbearable. We begged them to at least give us some money back and we would go elsewhere and their reply was a categorical "no" followed by: "we genuinely regret any frustration caused...we would be more than happy to support you in any way we can to make the rest of your stay more comfortable." We asked to please at least stop construction until we left (we were not the only ones complaining) and they said they couldn't because it had been planned weeks in advance. Then they should have done the courtesy of notifying guests in advance. In my correspondence with them before booking I said on numerous occasions that I was looking for a quiet place.I have never wanted to leave a place more. I spoke with one of the owners, Jonathan, who insulted me and the fact I was injured. It was shocking. Clearly, this place only cares about money, not their guests. In tears, and more broken than I was when I arrived, we left.
