Swasti Eco Cottages

Lovely welcome from Made when we arrived. The grounds were absolutely lush and I felt a strong sense of calm when I was there. We booked a house with a king size bed, a single bed plus another on the mezzanine for so space for our children too. Great to have a beautiful private space. Loved the outdoor bathroom and the veranda. The bed was extremely comfortable. |Highlights were: |A fantastic hatha yoga session for two|Enjoying a lovely glass of wine/beer at the bar in the evening|Lots of spa treatment options so had some fab massages etc from very friendly staff|Great location|Staff very helpful and friendly|Cute cats about!|Surrounded by plants and flowers|Food was good but we struggled a bit with the predominantly vegan and vegetarian options (but we were aware before we arrived so not a criticism) but plenty of other options locally.

Amazing place near Monkey Forest. It’s charming, it felt like visiting a farm cottage of your friend’s grandparents. You need to be able to gasp a couple of eco imperfections(like geckos running around your room). The spa treatment was awesome, staff are very friendly and helpful, and you might even get a visit from a monkey from the nearby monkey forest.

It was awful! Room was full of insects, towels and bed sheets weren't so clean, location was far from everything, going by foot to Monkey Forest wasn't pleasant at all, having to go near the traffic, and no sidewalks. We could hear every movement from the neighbours. We left the hotel the second day, even though we booked it for 6 nights. And the 'facility' with garden view from the room was a bad joke (you can see it in the images attached). The only good things here were the view from the restaurant and the smoothie bowls.

Absolutely LoVe Swasti. I booked it several years ago for a friend who was looking for a retreat venue. I LoVe the authentic old school cottages. The spa is amazing & the staff are great. The Cafe has just been upgraded & now caters to twice the amount of clientele. There are daily specials for both the Spa & Cafe. Swasti is an Ubud favourite of mine & I highly recommend. The grounds also so lush & tranquil & the food is always amazing!

We stayed for 4 nights with our four sons. They shared Room Komang- double and twin and we had Room Lola - both I believe to be deluxe separate cottages /rooms. Loved our bathrooms |Lovely hibiscus lemonade arrival welcome drink|Had our rooms ready before the allocated time |Food fabulous (except perhaps the tangerine basil juice thing !) we all loved the variety in the breakfast tapas , had the burger specials for our 1st lunch (chicken , mushroom , jackfruit all great!) plus tried out the vegan buffet on the Sunday ! |5 of us had a massage - some for their first time - all great |I also had a manicure/pedicure so helpful finding a time that suited |We didn’t try the yoga sadly |Odd walk to the monkey forest - but fine once you’re used to it |Thank you to all the team

Swasti is a true oasis of peace in the southern part of Ubud. We absolutely loved our stay! The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, all incredibly delicious. We highly recommend the vegan jackfruit burrito and the Ayurvedic Dahl. There is also an excellent selection of non-coffee beverages—our favorites were the charcoal latte and the blue latte. Everything at Swasti is designed to nurture your health, happiness, and well-being. We also fell in love with the yoga shalas, especially the Hatha yoga classes, where monkeys even stopped by to greet us one morning—it was magical! The spa offers a wide range of massages and treatments. We particularly enjoyed the Shiatsu and Royal massages. The service was impeccable, and the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The only downside is the rooms: they are quite dark and tend to get warm inside, even with the AC, as the insulation isn’t very effective. Additionally, our bathroom had a noticeable smell of mold. The environment is peaceful and quiet, except when children are playing Marco Polo in the pool. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone needs a break from busy Ubud. Just a wonderful and serene beautiful place - very clean and charmingly rustic cottages, gorgeous grounds and pool, lovely staff, lovely cats/kittens, goat paddock. It’s off the road so no road noise but lots of cafes/shops nearby and central Ubud about 2km away. The monkey forest is a 5 minute walk away. Highly recommend if you want a peaceful Balinese retreat.

This place is just amazing - beautiful rooms and bathrooms, gorgeous pool, really clean, staff are just lovely, peaceful and serene - just heavenly! Several friendly and well looked after cats and kittens just added to the joy. Cafes, bakeries and some shops locally, central Ubud is around 2km away. The monkey forest is a 5 minute walk away.
