Swat Continental

I traveled with my family on December 30, 2024, for New Year’s. The hotel was excellent, and its location was ideal for shopping. However, we experienced electricity issues three to four times a day. The geyser was only available in the morning until 10 AM, and the inverter was operational from 6 PM to midnight. Additionally, the room was quite noisy due to traffic, and car parking was available only on the road.

Stayed one night and was happy to leave.|All rooms face a busy street with heavy traffic and constant honking. There is no soundproofing whatsoever.|The place is very dirty, from the furniture to the windows (you can barely see through them). The first room they showed me had no hot water. The bed had clearly been slept in: the sheets were wrinkled and there was hair. The bottom sheet didn’t cover the full length of the mattress. There were no towels or toilet paper (eventually brought upon request). No night lamp and no light switch near the bed. There were two floor lamps with broken cords, therefore useless.|In the second room they showed me, the bed had also clearly been slept in – it seems that they routinely don’t change bed linen in between guests. Eventually they changed the sheets. The fridge didn’t work (the cord was torn and the plug was missing). No night lamp and no light switch near the bed. There were one floor lamp with a broken cord. In the bathroom, the toilet didn’t flush. There was a pitcher nearby, apparently to flush it manually. The A/C worked well, but it was placed facing the bed (not above the bed as it's usually the case), and the flow of cold air was uncomfortable.|In the bathroom, the window didn't close. The shower was located in a corner of the bathroom, there was no shower tray or curtain. The water drained slowly. Water pressure was good, and temperature not very hot, but still ok. |There are frequent power cuts (load shedding) in the area (three in 16 hours). The hotel has a generator but it takes 5-10 minutes to come on (very inconvenient in the evening). There was no flashlight.|Very slow wifi|Breakfast (to order) was ok, although selection was very limited.

Good room, good location in main city, easily accessible. But parking is a major problem. You will park on the main road and in the market opposite to the hotel at night time. Secondly, car noise is annoying at night

While the service was fairly good and the rooms are well-presented, the hotel management should address some concerns to provide a more enjoyable experience for their guests. The location is very noisy with poor soundproofing, making it difficult to work/sleep. Many rooms have a strong smell of cigarettes and contain ashtrays, which can be unpleasant for non-smoking guests. Dirty mattress covers, insects etc Some fridges are in poor condition, and the overall state of the hotel requires investment to maintain cleanliness and functionality. Bathrooms are not well-maintained - stained wcs, shower waste traps blocked, no hot water etc. The air conditioning can be quite noisy,

I stayed in this hotel in 2004 along with my family. It was a great experience of staying in this hotel. Everything was perfect. Room service, restaurant and professional staff.

Great place for overnight stay. People are cooperative and humble there. Provides complementary Breakfast as well.

During a recent two-day stay at Swat Continental Hotel, I found the experience to be surprisingly pleasant. Despite being a budget accommodation option, the hotel offered commendable service and amenities. One of the standout features was the prompt and attentive service provided by the staff. Even during the early hours of the morning, a request for water was swiftly fulfilled, reflecting the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. Considering the economical pricing of approximately 4000 rupees per night, the value for money was impressive. The availability of consistently warm water, especially for bathing, added to the comfort of the stay and was greatly appreciated. While the room may not have been extravagant, it was certainly adequate for the price point. Although there were some minor flaws, they were tolerable given the affordability of the accommodation. In summary, Swat Continental Hotel offers a pleasant stay experience at a budget-friendly rate. For travelers seeking decent amenities without breaking the bank, this hotel presents a viable option.

For Business Personnels it’s a good place to stay every market it nearby and it’s really economical. I rate it good. 👍
