"The craft cookies, cakes, and ice cream churned daily here from local milk and fruit are as creative as they come. Ask for a nostalgic Australian treat, and you might be offered a Mit Mat (a ganache-filled play on the Tim Tam), a Ro-Vo (a room-temperature spin-off of an iced VoVo), or a Jatz pie (like a caramel slice topped with a mosaic of Arnott’s Jatz crackers). The bloke behind the brilliance is none other than Alistair Wise, son of cookbook author Sally Wise, who spent a stint working with Gordon Ramsay. This emporium of happiness—and envy, to be sure—also whips up scrumptious savories including a mean scallop pie and a buttery poached chicken “sanger” with bacon, lettuce, hummus, mayo, and hard-boiled egg."

Sweet Envy made a beautiful custom made cake for my baby gender reveal party. I was very happy with the customer service over messenger and on the phone and quality of the cake was good for the price! Beautiful and delicious. It was well packaged too when we went to pick it up❣️

The freshness macaron I have ever eaten in my life. So tasty and delish. The filling was sensational and the flavor was incredible. Some pictures so you can buy them next time. I almost forgot the size is so generous.

Brilliant cupcakes - moist, well-balanced flavours, and delicate designs. Try the devil dog for an epic combo of meringue and Nutella!

We ate so quickly, forgot to get a before pic! Trouble with this place is deciding which cupcake to get! Very nice cappuccino and mocha.

Gorgeous hidden gem in Hobart. These little cupcake and slice treats are just what the doctor ordered. This vanilla lemon curd cupcake was divine. Worth a taste test!

We ordered our wedding cake from Sweet Envy, and could not have been more thrilled. It was exactly what we asked for... A simple design, fresh flowers, and very delicious flavours. The orange cake inside was exceptionally moist and had a lovely flavour. The buttercream was not too sweet either, which complemented the cake well. Our guests were very happy. On top of a great cake, the service of the owners was faultless. Their kindness and attention to detail really helped us have a seamless experience. I hope to pop back in for a coffee and a treat very soon!

Upon arrival at Hobart International Airport, we have been picked up by our lovely dad. He is craving for coffee and so do us. Dad suggested somewhere in Hobart CBD, but I made a request to go somewhere quiet and close to our grandma house, North Hobart. While searching around for a café, Sweet Envy Café catches my attention. Uniquely decorated and beautiful place to sit down for coffee with cake, pastry, and cookies. Coffee is good and cookies and layers we had are superbly delicious. All of us agreed to give 2 thumbs up. Friendly owner told us how he starts the business and his passion to serve food and beverage with love. That is the reason everyone should pay a visit to this small café. We need to support local business. He made everything from scratch. Quality – 5 stars Services – 5 stars Price – 5 stars

Yelp
One for the sweet-tooths of the apple isle, Sweet Envy is a dentist's delight. Adorably kitted out in whitewash and pastels, this dessert haven has a way of calming you down and exciting you all at once. With a mix of old favourites and new creations all whipped up in-house, you won't walk out of here disappointed--even if you're not a sweets fan, because there's also a small selection of savoury items like sandwiches and rolls available. One of the best corners of the shop is the ice-cream window, and yes, all frozen goods are made in-house as well. Let crazy flavours like butter beer be your guide. Yes, you can even get away with asking for a sample spoon of a couple of flavours (but don't get too greedy). There are a few tables both inside and outside if you'd like to stop in for morning or afternoon tea (hot and cold beverages are also available), but don't be scared to get some precious cargo to take away instead (or as well!).

Yelp
I believe that Sweet envy has the absolute best cupcakes ever, my mum and I will walk down to Elizabeth St just for these cupcakes, and the special no hands eating challenge is so fun I've never done it but everytime I go without fail I will practice.

Yelp
Awesome cakes, great coffee and to top it off there are also some really nice sandwiches/rolls (my personal favourite is the butter poached chicken). Bread is baked fresh (and it tastes like it too).

Yelp
Wowsers! - This place does dessert like no other! What a wonderful treat to hang out here with a coffee and cake to enjoy at one's leisure. Highly recommend if it is just you flying solo or no more than one or two other people with you, it is a small venue with limited space inside. The artistic and skillful cakes that sit in the window show off what they can also create for that special occasion. I highly recommend dropping in if you are from out of town or a local with a sweet tooth looking for something other than the usual run-of-the-mill bakery/cafe.

Yelp
This place was so pretty! The presentation of its products made it so appetizing and appealing. We came here for morning tea after eating our way through Salamanca markets. We took a focaccia home but sat in store to enjoy a short Mac and flat white. We had the Lexington pancake - out of curiosity really and the PB&J cupcake. The Lexington pancake had cream, lemon curd and a berry compote tart. Yummy is the best way to describe it but the lavender flavoured cream was a bit overpowering - probably just not used to it. Coffee was alright and helped me continue on our food nerd journey through Hobart! All things were reasonably priced too by our Sydneysider standards of usually paying too much for not as good! Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Hobart!

Yelp
'Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Yum! ' was what I said as I bit into my beautifully presented raspberry macron as I sat outside Sweet Envy. Sweet Envy is now my favorite place to meet up with a friend and have a hot chocolate and a sweet treat.

Yelp
Despite the name, Sweet Envy also serves delicious savoury pastries that are suitable for a light lunch. I love pies so much that when we travelled the main land for three months there was barely a town we passed through where I didn't eat a pie. The pies/pastries here are the equivalent of manna. The ice cream is delectable, and judging by the other reviews there are many tasty treats I have missed out on sampling. Permanently, as I can no longer eat sugar. Nonetheless, my memories of giant scoops of ice cream are good ones... ha, my husband just said that this review sounds like I'm a fatty bumbala who can't eat sugar any more because I have diabetes. This is not true, but I haven't laughed so hard all day. I did find the atmosphere a little strange, but that might have just been the day and the company.

Yelp
The only problem is that you just want more more more! We have never been disappointed! Absolute heaven!
