We stayed at the Sweet Home Hotel twice, at the start and end of our recent trip to Greece. It’s a fantastic base in Athens, close by to everything yet not busy or noisy. The team at the hotel make you feel so welcome, they are generous with their time and always happy to help or just chat. Breakfast is delicious and the rooms are clean and spacious. Couldn’t ask for more and we hope to return! Thank you Sweet Home Hotel for making our visit so special.

The Sweet Home Hotel was a great location for visiting the sites in Athens. So many places to eat and shop within walking distance. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety and fresh.|The rooms have very comfortable beds, very clean & we had a small balcony so nice for fresh air. Not a great view, you see the interior of another building. The parquet floor could use some work, it's uneven & separating in spots especially entering the bathroom. Our shower was very small stall, however our friends had larger showers. The rooms in the basic category are fairly small, we had a larger one but paid more. Just check the room type before you reserve.

Awesome location! Within walking distance to all the attractions, bus and metro system. Hotel was clean and quiet. We had a view of the Acropolis from our balcony. It was gorgeously lit up at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning was delicious with an abundant of choices. Great communication and directions given by email prior to our arrival with easy to follow instructions on how to travel to and locate the hotel from the airport. Easy bus transport from the airport (about an hour ride).

Really loved our stay here. 2 adults, 3 kids in the penthouse and we were comfortable. Updated, clean, quaint, and a delicious breakfast every morning that got us excited to get out of bed every morning. The kitchen ladies were sweet. Best of all was the location! 10ish minutes to the Acropolis, all the shops on Ermou, and tons of delicious restaurants but honestly the White Horse outside the door is outstanding and family fun.

We had the most wonderful stay at Sweet Home in Athens! From the moment we arrived, the warm, caring service made us feel right at home. This charming, family-run boutique hotel is truly a hidden gem. The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spotless—full of character without sacrificing modern comforts. The location is perfect—tucked away on a quiet street but just a short walk from all the major sights, restaurants, and shops. Every morning, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which was absolutely delightful—a generous spread of both hot and cold options, all fresh and delicious. The staff went above and beyond throughout our stay—arranging taxis, helping with restaurant reservations, and always greeting us with a smile. You can really feel the pride and care they put into everything they do. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Athens. We can’t wait to come back!

After traveling in Greece for 3 weeks, this was by far one of the best places we've stayed. Our vacation included staying in AirB&Bs and hotels that included a variety of amenities, so when you get a full-size shower (and if you've traveled in Greece, you know that is a luxury!) It is a bonus. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed. The hotel staff was very helpful in calling for taxis and Emma made a recommendation for an amazing rooftop bar with a view of the Acropolis. The breakfast buffet was top-notch with eggs, meat, greek pastries, Greek yogurt, and all of the toppings you can think of. The hotel is walking distance to the city center, and the Metro stop at Syndagma Square is only a 4 minute walk. I highly recommend this place!!!

The location of the hotel is only surpassed by the amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful that they made us feel like family. The breakfast was delicious and varied with many homemade items. The hotel is close to everything and on a quiet street with several good restaurants and bakeries near by. It’s a small hotel in an older building, so expect a cozy and quaint place. We were there 4 nights and highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Athens.

Overall, my experience at Sweet Home Hotel was positive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They seemed to care about our experience and wanting to make it a positive one. It was very quant, great location, and nicely decorated. My rating of a 4 instead of a 5 is due to the size of the room (it was very small and difficult to move through with luggage) and the breakfast offered wasn't as warm as I would have preferred. I appreciated the personal feel of this hotel and I would stay here again.
