Hotel looks so different to the photos that we had to ask if we were in the right room. Their response was "the photos we put online don't have to look like your room". The second person we spoke to confirmed the majority of rooms looked like the one we had been given and not like the photos online.
Nothing in the room works or is functional. Hair dryer turns on and off. Toilet seat is broken. Both towel racks are coming off on one side. One bin was broken and both bins were the size of 2 soft drink cans. Only 2 out of the 4 lights in our room worked. Lights are extremely dim and the room is extremely small so it felt like a prison. Rooms so tiny you can barely open 1 suitcase and need to jump over it to leave the bed. Air conditioning is just an old vent that barely cools anything. Sink and shower don't drain properly. Beds are unstable and tiny - I'm 163cm tall and my feet were sticking off the bottom of the bed. Room is badly structured with charging ports in random places no where near tables. No basic amenities or toiletries, only a combined shampoo/body wash - not even a box of tissues. Walls so thin you can hear everyone and everything outside, including neighbours talking, coughing, sneezing, using the water, making other sounds, and even the soft sound that Apple devices make when turned on.
Room was dirty when we checked in, including dirty towels and bugs in the room. At the end of our second day, we came back to our room to see it had not been cleaned. When I asked the receptionist she just said "maybe the cleaner forgot". I had to ask for new towels and a bin liner myself. The receptionist told me to leave the old towels and bin liner outside the room, and then she went and took a photo of that.
Noting the above, our biggest issue was the photos looking totally different to the room. When we told the hotel, the receptionist said she would check with the manager regarding a room that looked like our photos and provide an update the next day. The next day she did not even as much as say "hello". When I sought an update, she said the manager was "on vacation" and we should have known to speak with the morning receptionist instead. She told us to empty our belongings from the room and put our bags in the lockers as we would "90%" be given another room the next day. Thankfully we didn't do this as the next day, the morning receptionist said the manager was not contactable and there was nothing he could do. He said the other rooms were not much better so moving rooms would be pointless. When I said this was dishonest he tried to find photos online that matched our room and was unable to do so.
The shower photographed is a standard small shower with a glass door. The shower we got was a hose on the wall right next to the toilet with no door or anything blocking the water from going everywhere. The bathroom was tiny - I am not big in size and I couldn't even turn around in the without touching the walls, sink or toilet.
I asked for a small reimbursement in light of all the issues but, again, was informed that the manager was not contactable so the request could not even be made.
Upon reading other negative experiences we completely agree with what others have said about the positive reviews being fake. Waste of money, felt like we had been cheated and scammed. We were extremely uncomfortable during our whole stay here and we do not recommend.
