What was there to not like about our stay! Though it was short, it was still was worth every second we were there. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality made us feel so welcome, like we were right at home. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, with so much to see and do. Alyssa’s breakfast was the highlight of our morning—delicious and made with such care. The animals on the property were adorable and added so much charm to our stay. It was the perfect place to unplug, relax, and truly enjoy everything Alyssa has created. We’re already talking about coming back for a longer trip and bringing our family and friends along to share this little slice of paradise. We wish Alyssa all the success in her dreams and future plans—we can’t wait to come back and see it all unfold. Thank you for making our getaway so special. We’ll definitely be back!

Sweet Springs Family Farm was such a special stay! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and the beds were super comfy—perfect for our little ones who spent lots of time crawling and exploring. The property is full of charm, with forest trails, a swimming hole, Hammock Town, friendly farm animals, and peaceful spots to relax. Breakfasts were homemade and delicious—such a treat each morning! Alyssa is a fantastic host—thoughtful, responsive, and full of heart. She had toys ready for our kids, a magical garden play kitchen, and so many sweet details that made us feel truly welcome. This was the kind of place that stays with you. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Absolutely the best place to stay ! We had the best time here even if it was just for one day , the place to stay is just stunning it really is the place to be . The hospitality was amazing , she served us breakfast which was so bomb we devoured our food . Plus you stay in a farm with chickens , pigs , horses, goats , cats , and dogs ! We will be coming back !

This place feels so charming and magical that it’s hard to leave to continue our trip. We have stayed here many times through the years. We loved it from our first visit. Each time we return, Alyssa has somehow managed to make it more wonderful. The setting, the bnb accommodations, the animals, the fresh, delicious food, their beautiful family, and the tranquility all make this place more special than you can imagine. They have thought of everything you might need or want and planned ahead. The attention to detail really is incredible. We’re considering hosting a family reunion here. They certainly have the space for it. And I’m convinced Alyssa would work her magic to make it even more special than I could ever hope for. I think a wedding here would be ideal! There’s so much more to mention. I could sing the praises of this bnb all day long. I truly can’t even think of a critique, it’s that perfect. I’ve stayed at a lot of different places over the years, but Alyssa’s farm is truly incomparable. There’s nothing else like it, it actually felt like a real vacation, the kind that leaves you refreshed and inspired. From the moment I began the scenic drive into the countryside, I felt myself start to relax. The sounds of the animals, the peace of the property, and the warmth of the space set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Alyssa is an incredible host who clearly pours her heart into everything she does. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and it’s obvious she’s not doing this just as a job, it’s her passion, and it shows. She goes above and beyond to make her guests feel cared for, and it’s clear she genuinely wants to spoil you. The homemade breakfast delivered to my door (fresh, allergy-friendly, and delicious) was such a special touch, just a gentle knock at 9 AM and breakfast was waiting, no effort required on my part. The farm itself is full of charm and beauty. I was given a personal tour and full access to snuggle any of the animals I wanted. Her gardens are stunning, the nearby lake and river swim hole are just a short walk away, and the country bike path that leads all the way into town blew me away. This place is perfect for families, kids, couples, or solo travelers looking to unplug and reconnect, with nature, with animals, or just with themselves. I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return. If you’re thinking about it, don’t hesitate. Book it. It’s worth every penny and then some. YOU WILL LOVE IT!

WOW! We have had the best stays ever here at Sweet Springs family farm. Alyssa is made for this! The chalets are so cute and comfy and the farm is so inviting. She has beautiful gardens and yards, a natural spring and pond with a treehouse right up the hill. She also has an abundance of blackberries. There is a river right beside the property so you have the tranquil sound of moving water which provides the best natural lullaby. We always sleep so well there. Alyssa has a family of farm animals and the chickens provide tasty eggs for the yummy breakfast Alyssa provides, paired with fresh pressed juice, ( my favorite is the pair juice.) omg I’m ready to go again. Everything about our stay was delightful. We needed a quiet getaway to be able to focus on life decisions. This was the perfect spot. Our host was absolutely lovely and perfectly accommodating. The space was charming, and the surroundings were soothing to the soul. I could say so much more. We loved it and will definitely come again!

Alyssa’s passion for making guests feel comfortable and fulfilled was just the minimum she offered, including a full fledged farm tour and even an outstanding breakfast included with the stay. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a lavish country suite, and of course a good host 👍.

I stayed one night in the charming sweet springs chalet.  From the beginning communication was great. I had all the details of how to get to her place and what time I was able to check in. The countryside on the way to sweet springs is beautifully breathtaking.  I was greeted by the hostess, Alyssa. She was very welcoming and friendly along with her dogs , pigs and a few chickens. She showed me to the chalet. The first things I noticed was how clean it was and beautifully decorated. Alyssa has thought of everything to make your stay easy and comfortable. The special touches were nice. I loved the electric fire place, make up remover cloth and I spent the morning in the fuzzy robe and slippers provided. A fresh breakfast of pancakes and  fruit were hand delivered. Absolutely delightful! My stay was quick as I was just passing through but it was wonderful and I would go back for a longer stay to check out the area and relax a little longer at the sweet springs chalet. I highly recommend you check it out and book a stay!

This cute little bed & breakfast has it all! Farm animals, fresh eggs and produce grown on site, trails, camping and a river nearby, outdoor movies on a massive screen. And that's just the beginning. They offer fun, very unusual options aside from the studio we stayed in, such as a Vanagon and semi cab sleeper! Alyssa anticipates your every possible need and has stocked the studio with things you didn't ever realize you would want or need! We didn't need to ask for anything at all. You have your own little yard with a fire pit, so next time we come, we will bring our pup with us. And probably our grandchildren, as well! There's truly something for everyone to enjoy! Alyssa has a large binder jam packed with information about events, businesses, trails, menus, maps, etc.. It was fun to just flip through the pages and learn about the area. The food Alyssa prepares using her own fresh produce and eggs is delicious. We felt welcomed and spoiled from the moment we checked in. I just met her a few days ago, but left feeling like I had made a new friend. Her heart goes into her farm and business and you can definitely feel that. I can't wait to return in the spring and summer to see what activities the farm offers in better weather. My husband and I travel a lot for our business and this is one of our favorite stays, without a doubt in the top five! We highly recommend this little gem! Oh! And don't forget to peek at the gift shop! You'll find some cute, unique treasures!

This is hands down the best bed and breakfast I have stayed in. Every detail has been thought out and it is quaint and comfortable. It truly has a farm feel outside but that of a lush resort inside the suite. I have stayed here in summer and winter and found both seasons to be equally rewarding. If you are looking for a truly relaxing getaway and a great breakfast served to your door in the morning, I recommend you stay here.

This family run farm is absolutely magical.If you want peace and quiet this is the place to be.Alyssa is an absolutely charming hostess.The cabin was clean and very comfortable.For relaxation take a walk up the hill and chill in hammock town.Its right across the street from a river where you can have a nice swim.It is a bit far from the town of Cottage Grove(12 miles)so I recommend bringing some provisions.If you are lucky you might be able to bottle feed Clover the orphaned fawn.I did and it was something I will never forget.Alyssa brings your breakfast right to your door at 9 am so you can have a nice sleep in.If you love nature and animals and absolute peace this is the place to be.
