Nestled in a charming Victorian on Grant Street, this vibrant cafe serves up fresh breakfast, lunch, and exceptional coffee, all while radiating artistic flair.
"Housed in an elegant Victorian building, this bohemian coffee house sits in the heart of the Grant Street corridor—one of Buffalo’s most diverse neighborhoods, with a community of immigrants, scholars, and artists. Since opening in 2008, it’s been a driving force in encouraging new businesses to put down roots in the area, proving that if you build it, they will come. Here, guests can grab a table outside with their café au lait and freshly baked pastry and take in the sights and sounds of Buffalo’s West Side. Should you be looking for something more substantial, however, head next door to owner Prish Moran’s newest project, The Tabernacle, where you can indulge in everything from Spanish to Irish cuisine in a kaleidoscope-like space filled with Renaissance paintings, Space Age murals, and bright pops of color."
We were visiting our daughter and this is one of her favorite places. Food is delicious and fresh. I like that they are environmentally conscious and local sourced for food. I found the wood stoves down in the basement where the bathrooms are. Pretty cool!
We've since been back for a second wonderful breakfast.

I visited Buffalo city summer 18 and i came to this cafe for breakfast. The parking was super difficult because it was Street parking. The services were excellent and the workers were super friendly. I had a black coffee and it was ok but the breakfast was amazing. You should try the grilled cheese sandwich. Highly recommended.

Very cool place in a ... decent part of Buffalo. Had the farmers breakfast with scrambled, great breakfast sausage (made across the street), great hash browns, tomato, beans and house made English muffins. Take it one step further - coffee (Americano) was flavorful and actually served at the right temperature - well done funky barista people! Go here. Lock your car. ;)

Nice ambience and atmosphere, felt relaxed and comfortable. Enjoyed the food and coffee. French toast was good along with the bacon. Food came quick and hot. Staff was friendly as well.

Quaint hipster-ish ambiance, good food (meat, vegetarian, and vegan options). Had a really good café latte. They use Guatemalan fair trade coffee beans and support ethical food, farming and trade practices, which is important to me. Had their huevos rancheros with vegan sausage swapped for the spicy sausage they usually serve it with. You can get the eggs any style. It all comes on a big whole wheat flour tortilla wrap. There are regular tables and a big table for anyone to sit with a chess/checkerboard, scrabble, the art papers et c. The staff is low key and not snobby, which is a must for me. All in all a good experience.

My husband said his cappuccino was amazing as was my cup of tea. I'd have taken pictures of his farmer's breakfast and my croque madame, but they were too delicious! The staff is super friendly and chill. I can't believe it took us 7 years in Buffalo to come here, especially because we'll be back constantly!

They had a concept of self service which was also nice.
