This is one of Bridgetown’s true hidden gem! I loved my stay here. I wasn’t expecting this. It is a beautiful house, ancient and restored, very nice, fancy, elegantly decorated, and at an excellent price! A must stay if you are wise. The personell is the best, they made our stay even greater! Check out the beautiful peacocks 😂!

The Sweetfield is a unique property with charm. Each room is different. We stayed in 2 rooms while there with very different ambiance. The hotel & rooms are very clean and staff are friendly.|The Island room is large, bright with natural light & located in the main house upstairs. The Hummingbird room is in another building smaller and quite dark, but with advantage of large outside deck, swing bed & easy access to lovely rock lined pool.|Pool is very refreshing & surrounded by vegetation!|The good news is the hotel is set away & isolated. The bad news is that hotel is set away & isolated. Depending on your interests & taste, Note, unless you’re driving you can’t walk anywhere & need a bus or taxi.

Sweetfield Manor is a beautiful little paradise in Barbados; it's the kind of place that is a destination unto itself. The grounds are lovely and peaceful, with a pool surrounded by greenery, wild peacocks roaming, a koi pond, great covered seating areas (open to the breeze), and a decent restaurant. I think for us the part that got the most use was our porch, which had a swinging bed, table, sitting area, and greenery everywhere. The staff are laid back and very helpful. We had a really really nice stay. ||Our room was air conditioned and had wifi, which we could generally access from the porch as well. ||A few notes which did not detract from our stay at all, but may be helpful to know: it is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the beach, which feels a bit long in the heat. We didn't find a supermarket nearby and so got our groceries from town (a long walk or relatively short bus/cab ride away). However note that in Barbados you can also order food in using their national "Hopscotch" delivery service, which is like Uber Eats.||I highly recommend Sweetfield Manor!

Do not stay here if you are looking for all the things they advertise. Tranquility, relaxation and good food. I stayed one night and it was like trying to sleep in a. Nightclub, it was so noisy from loud music. I dropped my earring down the sink (no plug) and they charged 25$ to retrieve it which took all of 3 minutes. Dinner was very average and I was sick four times in the night and next morning. The manager was very rude. Allesha at the desk was the best employee they have. She was very polite and helpful.

We booked this hotel for a pre cruise sleep over, so we could relax after our flight from UK. |Super little hotel, only 10 rooms, we stayed in Flamboyant and Banaquit, both lovely rooms, with very comfortable beds.|Staff were friendly and welcoming. After a good nights sleep, we had a good breakfast, lots of choice. We walked around the gardens, counting the peacocks. We left feeling refreshed and ready for our cruise.

Ignore the positive reviews on this hotel… stayed three nights here after reading great descriptions and photos (all aged and now irrelevant) they turned the lights off in the hotel area at 21.00 and closed the bar at 21.00.||Staff are not good attitude was rather lazy and unhelpful. This claims to be a 5 star hotel, not likely, bathrooms all need updating, water system old and slow, seats and tables need refurbishing urgently.||Don’t stay here at least until they have refurbished.||More like 3 star AT BEST.

We decorated for a client's dinner party. Both client and staff confirmed that the event end time was 12am. My breakdown team arrived at 11:45pm as we do know some events finish earlier at times. While my team was breaking down, the manager and staff turned off the lights and left. My team then had to use their phone lights to be able to see to breakdown the decor. I would not recommend the venue for my clients to host any type of event. No one indicated they were turning off the lights or leaving. The client waited while the team completed the breakdown. We are still in shock that this took place.

The hotel itself is lovely, with beautiful grounds and swimming pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, the 'Mahongany' named bedroom has no window in it. When the door is closed, it is a dark hole unless the bedside lamps are switched on. So very disappointing when visiting the lovely island of Barbados with it's sunshine and lush plants. Nowhere are you advised of the fact that there is at least one bedroom at the hotel that does not have a window! It totally spoilt our stay there!!
