I have purchased many floral arrangements as gifts from Sweetpeas over the years and was so happy to receive this adorable bouquet for my birthday. I usually buy a bespoke arrangement, letting the amazing flower artists work their magic. Today I received an arrangement in a teacup. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Of course without knowing, the artist included my mom’s favourite flower. So although she’s passed away, she’s still with me today. Thank you so much! Needless to say, I definitely recommend this eco friendly shop with stunning, fresh blooms.

This was my first time ordering from SweetPea. I live in Vancouver BC so was ordering online. They did not disappoint. Beautiful arrangement of flowers just as described. Delivered as promised. Would highly recommend them and will use them again when I need a Toronto florist

I ordered flowers online for the first time from Sweetpea's and due to my own error realised that I was having them delivered to my home rather than elsewhere. I emailed them right away, quickly got a response from Rachel who sorted it out for me. Then, the day before the scheduled delivery, I found out that I needed to move up the delivery window to as early as possible in the day. This time, Sara took care of me. The flowers were delivered to the correct address, early in the morning as requested and the flowers were just beautifully arranged. All around a fantastic first time experience and obviously not my last. Thank you Sara and Rachel for your kindness and the top-notch service! Here again to add to my last review. I have since ordered another arrangement, this time for my mother. The arrangement was outstanding with a gorgeous variety of blooms, beautiful colours and the artistry was next level. My mother said that these were the most stunning flowers she's ever received!

I have used Sweetpeas a few times and never have been disappointed. I truly believe they are one of the best in the city. Delivery was quick. I highly recommend!

Google
I ordered an arrangement from Sweetpeas for a coworker located in Toronto. I am in the states so I only had Google reviews and their mission statement to go off of, but they outdid themselves!! Not only was the arrangement beyond gorgeous, delivery was so smooth and they even hand wrote the notes I left!

Google
The flowers were delivered on time and was also able to track the delivery. I also recieved confirmation when the delivery was completed. An exceptional experience, my new go to place for flowers.

Google
What a joy to order flowers from Sweetpea's! The artistry of the display and prompt delivery are to be noted. And best of all; the recipient LOVES her flowers! And can hardly wait to use the beautiful teacup. Thank you 🙏

Google
I used Sweetpea to send flowers to a friend. The flowers were absolutely stunning! And when my friend wasn't there to receive them (it was freezing outside so the could not be left) they had no issues shifting the delivery to the next day. The whole process was really easy and my conversation was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely use them again!

Yelp
Ordered & they delivered a gorgeous bouquet of whimsical flowers. It was delivered same day. Absolutely wonderful!

Yelp
It's almost 6pm on Valentine's Day and both my mother and mother-in-law have not received their flowers that I ordered over a week ago to arrive today...I ordered them on February 6th. I spoke to both my mother and mother-in-law and nothing has come to their doorsteps. Sweetpea's didn't bother to even call me or e-mail to tell me that the flowers will not be coming. I'm assuming they won't be delivered this evening. Even if they are, the whole point was to have them delivered to be enjoyed during the day on Valentine's day. I will NEVER use this company again. The fact that they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me that my order will not be completed as it was supposed to be shows a general lack of professionalism and a complete lack of respect for their customers. I'm hoping to get my money back tomorrow, because there is no point in getting Valentine's Day flowers after the actual day. Very disappointed!!

Yelp
I placed an order for a $250 funeral flower arrangement and gave them a picture of what I would like it to look like. When I recieved it, I was in complete shock and embarrassment. I feel like I could have honestly bought a $25 bouquet at Longos and made a better flower arrangement myself. I will try to upload a picture of the arrangement as to show the old flowers that they used and the quality of arrangement I recieved. I was so upset and embarrassed, that I decided to post a review on google and not to my surprise, the owner, instead of nicely apologizing, is argumentative and lying to make herself look better. I certainly do not recommend this florist.

Yelp
I ordered a $250.00 flower arrangement For my uncles funeral. The arrangement looked cheap and not professionally made. It was so embarrassing, Even the funeral staff seemed shocked and it was removed for the 6-9 viewing. The arrangement we selected online was $140. We wanted to spend $250 and asked if they could make it larger. They did not add any extra flowers but charged us $250.00 I called to have another arrangement sent and the manager was either on lunch or away. The manager did not come to the phone to talk to me. I asked for her to call me back but she never did. We did receive a new arrangement in time for the 6-9 viewing. Never once was there an apology. They accused me over social media of being verbally abusive and this never once happened. I didn't ask for any money back or any compensation. I did not receive a call the next day to ask if everything was ok with the new arrangement. The owner berated us on social media for our negative review. It would have been nice to just receive a sincere apology. I have noticed on other negative reviews that they do not take ownership and belittle the client. So I will not take it personally. I would never recommend this company as this was my experience.

Yelp
Very impressed, bought this for my mom for Mother's Day. She loves it. Will definitely order from you again. Thanks so much!

Yelp
Loved this little shop. I was looking for a small arrangement for a friend when I Yelped the area and found this little gem, their posies are so cute! I will be back again for sure. Also don't miss their card wall, they have some of the funniest unique cards I've seen, caught myself literally laughing out loud a few times!

Kim C.

Yelp
GORGEOUS and unique arrangements! I ordered from afar, and this beautiful arrangement definitely brought the wow factor that you want when buying flowers as a gift. I was a little hesitant based on a few of the reviews and the fact that you don't get to pick the exact arrangement, but no regrets! This will be my go-to florist when ordering for my sister in Toronto.

Yelp
I got my surprise Valentine's arrangement of stunning purple roses from Sweepea's from my sweetheart and I couldn't be happier. These were some of the most delicate, tender-smelling roses I've even seen in my life and they've kept very well during the delivery and transportation process. Personalization is key in today's business world, and Sara's dedication and above and beyond customer service really shines. The flowers were fresh, beautiful and packaged with love, along with the hand-written note which was a sweet touch. Kudos!

Yelp

Yelp
Sweatpea's had a lovely selection of beautiful flowers and I was so pleased to be able to secure next day delivery, which ended up being reliable and punctual. I would recommend!

Yelp
I called in an order for my wife for our anniversary. The woman asked me what my budget was, I said $75-$100, she took that to mean 100+tax and delivery for a total of $135. OK guess I had to expect that. The flowers that came looked ok, if underwhelming considering the cost. They looked awful after 4 days and lots of the blooms never opened. I know what you're thinking- but I did follow all watering instructions. Considering the price and this experience I would not use Sweetpea's again. Edit: They saw this review and sent my wife another set of flowers which looked very nice. They have won another chance with me.

Yelp
Worst service experience in my life!!! Can you believe it? They didn't deliver my flowers on Valentine's Day! And they totally lost my flowers the next day for the re-delivery! And the owner Sarah yelled at me over the phone! She insisted that her driver delivered the flower to the corrected office although she didn't see it. She believes it because she trusted her driver. She sweared that someone in my office took my flower and signed as 'reception' when my company never had a receptionist. I also trust none of my colleague would steal my flower when there is a card for me! Even worse, she insulted me and my company by saying that ' who is working in an office like yours that's open concept and anyone can reach each other's desk. We didn't expect your office is like this. This is like a coffee shop! ' I feel happy with my colleagues who received their beautiful flowers on Valentines Day because they didn't use Sweet Pea! I can see their flowers on their desk and that's admirable. Unfortunately I didn't get my flowers on Valentin's Day because my husband tried Sweet Pea. They didn't deliver on Valentin's Day and they even chose to not to call my husband and let him know. He only found out after I got home that I never received his gift although he placed the order 2 weeks ago. Please never order from Sweet Pea. They are not going to deliver your flowers! They will blame on you for the bad delivery place you have and they will just say they trust whatever their driver told them which means they will never trust what the customer says! Plus Sarah said ' You stop!' over the phone to me!

Yelp
I ordered purple roses for my lovely girlfriend as a Valentine's Day gift from this place and they turned out great! Sara, the owner was a pleasure to deal with and delivered an outstanding product and I could not be happier with the service that I received, I would happily purchase from this place again.

Yelp
I had some floral crowns made at Sweetpea's and they were absolutely lovely. I would definitely go to them for any future flower needs!

Yelp
Alright guys, this post is just as much for you as it is for the ladies. Every guy has been there, you're in trouble with the lady friend and you need something to put out the fire or at least minimize it as much as possible. A nice bouquet of flowers and a sweet card usually does the trick, so look no further, Sweetpea's has your back Recognized as one of the best florist shops in Toronto by Toronto Life, BlogTO and NOW magazine. Sweetpea's is an eco-friendly florist shop that brings you an array of locally grown flowers, gifts, cards, stationary products and furniture. Sweetpea's supports over 650 greenhouses in Ontario that employ 10,000 + employees. The shop is all about being Green, biodegradable cellophane to wrap purchases are used when possible, they are also working to be part of Bullfrog Power. If you don't know what Bullfrog Power is all about you can read about it here. Sweetpea's is also a full service landscaping company, offering carpentry, stonework, irrigation, lighting and design services. With 15 years experience, the team at Sweetpea's will make your property look amazing all year around. The florist shop has a very rustic, antique, eclectic feel. You walk in and you notice the big Venus Florist sign behind the counter, there's reclaimed pieces all over the store, giving you that artistic feel. To the left, there's a wall full of artistic greeting cards, some funny, some cute and all very unique, and to the right there are displays that have gifts and such. At the back of the store there are more gifts, nick nacks, and you'll also find the cooler with pre arranged bouquets and flowers. The employees are very knowledgeable, helpful, and very artistic when it comes to arranging bouquets. The guys will really appreciate that, let's be honest, we really don't know much when it comes to flowers and bouquets. If you are lucky enough, you might have the chance to meet one of the store mascots that are in the store. Sara Jameson (owner of Sweetpea's) has a sweet spot for Great Danes and cats, she rescues animals that weren't lucky enough to have someone love them like they deserve. You often have to walk around Toby, which is a 145lbs Great Dane. He is a sweet, loveable guy, so give him a good pet when you see him. If you're interested in rescuing a Great Dane or other animals, you can visit Danes in Distress or Toronto Animal Services. Check out my full review http://aboutyourhood.com/2013/11/29/sweetpeas/

Yelp
I really wanted to like Sweetpea's, I really did. After all, we booked our wedding flowers with them. We had our wedding at the Guild Inn Estate with our ceremony held in at the gazebo from 3-4 and there was another ceremony at 4:30. We told them the gazebo is not a traditional gazebo and showed photos of what it would look like (it has a roof; attached to the event halls). We wanted an archway with garlands and blooms to be repurposed for our sweetheart table, bar area, and receiving table. No problem they said. The exorborant ($450) delivery fee of our invoice has that wording on it as well. It was OK to us because we understood that they would have had to be there waiting until the ceremony was completed. A bit after 4, my wife was panicking because she said the delivery people from Sweetpea's were just going to leave. The MOH had told me she asked a man that was moving the archway some questions but he kept insisting he is not with the company. She was waiting to speak with Jenna, Sweetpea's associate. As Jenna finished packing, she headed to the driver side door. I ran out into the rain to stop her. As the rain was pouring down on me, Jenna refused to step into shelter to talk, insisting that she had done her job and that repurposing the garlands were not her instructions and asked if I saw that they put something else on the sweetheart table. I explained that I did see what they put on the table, but it was bare and looked empty as we wanted to cover the table with the garlands. She kept refusing to do so and I became upset and raised my voice. I told her that it is in the contract to repurpose and that we could call Jenn (our Sweetpea's contact). She told me that Jenn was in another city for another event. She refused to want to see the emails or contract with the wording. She asked me to calm down (admittedly more than once) and I understood that I was becoming upset and had apologized many times for my demeanour and voice but that this was not what I had paid for. I am soaking wet at this point trying to plead with her that the garlands were supposed to be on the tables. The man came out of the passenger side car and walked over to us. I introduced to myself, explained I was the groom and asked for his name. He did not give me his name and said "I'm her husband and you're being an asshole". At which point Jenna pushed him to go back inside the car and said "that's enough". She finally understood and told me that she would put greens on the sweetheart table (but no mention of the receiving table or bar area) to make it look less empty. I thanked her and after (5-10 minutes talking in the rain), I was soaked in my tux at my own wedding. We went in to see Sara (the owner) and wanted her to make some things right. We explained what happened on our side to which she explained what she had heard from Jenna and Cam (the man). Sara took their side of the story (while dismissing any conflicting aspects of mine). Jenna told her I was becoming irate and borderline abusive. Sara told me again that they put something on the table and decided to do that on Friday night. No one told us this ahead of time and we came into our wedding expecting one thing while getting another. Sara said that the garlands were ruined and could not have been repurposed. We said that it was only ruined because Jenna did the teardown; that you could go from the gazebo to our event space in complete shelter. Sara acknowledged that Cam was out of line by calling me an asshole (although I don't understand why he say he doesn't work for Sweetpea's and refuse to give his name) and that she was upset at him for doing so and that he is a very kind man. Sara told me that Cam would like to call me to apologize to which I explained that an apology would not be needed. Sara also told me that Jenna was on standby at the ceremony and that it was in bad taste to have started to pack away the archway if people were still in the ceremony space. Why would she blame the rain if she was in the space? It became a he-said, she-said argument and was clear that Sara was sticking to her workers version. She admitted that they have communication issues and they are working on it (too late for me). She said that she would not refund me, that I had received everything I asked for, but after explaining why I feel I should receive half of the delivery fee ($225) back, she offered a third. We took it, although begrudgingly. Sara, you will probably read this and I hope you understand the frustration that my wife and I experienced is not due to the quality of your work but at the customer service and lack of communication that has fostered in your shop. We had been OK with the delivery fee due to the promises made by associates. There are definitely some things that you have said your workers told you that we know to be false. You don't have to take mine, my wife or my friend's word for it, just ask our photographers

Yelp
Yesterday, I popped into Sweatpea's to send flowers to friends who lost their grandma; the funeral was today, so I was a little concerned they wouldn't be able to deliver in time, but thought I'd ask anyway. The lady I spoke with didn't balk and assured me that the flowers would absolutely get to the funeral home ahead of the funeral. The staff worked with my budget, got me a card appropriate for a funeral and told me they'd call the funeral home to confirm exactly where the flowers should go. I especially appreciated this. I also found their manner very warm and pleasant, which was especially appreciated given the circumstances. Today, I learnt that the flowers were delivered yesterday (same day delivery!) and that the family loved the arrangement Sweetpea's put together. While Sweatpea's is pricey, it's worth it for occasions that require beautiful flowers and more importantly, flawless execution. I will return, and hopefully, the next visit will be for a happier occasion!

Yelp
AMAZING! This place has the best staff, the nicest arrangements and are incredibly helpful and speedy! I have used Sweetpea 3 times now emailing or calling from BC and they have been nothing but accommodating and helpful every single time! I have even received photos of the flowers that they are going to send out! This is the only florist I will use in the Toronto & surrounding area. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! (THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING JEN!!)

Yasmin O.

Yelp
Receiving flowers from here was an awful experience. It came in a box which looked like it needed to be opened. Upon opening it, there was just a bag of water which ripped. The water spilt all over my desk and made a big mess. If you are going to provide flowers in a bag of water, the delivery person should warn the recipient not to open the box... or else.

Yelp
Continually impressed by this floral shop. Exceptional arrangements...they aren't your standard bouquet, you are getting a beautiful crafted piece of art! Their flowers aren't cheap, but they do last a long time. My bouquet that I gave my friend lasted almost 2 weeks, with occasional trimming of wilting/dead flowers (very minimal). I would highly recommend Sweetpea's for any floral needs. Their arrangements are A+, and the flowers are of the best quality. They're also very accommodating at handling last minute orders. I called after hours and they were able to get my arrangement ready for pick up at noon the next day. I also picked up a gift to go along with flowers. Stop in and check them out!

Meaghan M.

Yelp
Just had such a negative experience at a local place I really wanted to support. $20 for 1 short little rose, 2 tacky gold balls, some berries and pine needles. Not only that but I was given my disappointing package without any protection from the freezing weather. Staff were absolutely unsympathetic and unhelpful. So angry.

Archer R.

Yelp
Don't ever bother with sweetpea if you want same day delivery. They do it through another vendor and "same day" means it might arrive at 7 pm. I ordered flower for my wife as she is sick at home. I wanted it to be a nice surprise to add some color to her day. And the sweetpea guy told me it should arrive around 3. Man don't count on it. By the time the flower actually arrive, I could have pick up anything from a local florist and bring it home. So much for "same day delivery" and surprise element.

Yelp
1st experience with Sweetpea's and possibly the last... Ordered flowers online to be delivered to a friend on her birthday. Order was made on time, I called the next morning to confirm and ask what time delivery could be expected, and was told between 1-6pm. GREAT! Except it wasn't delivered by that time, nor was it delivered on the actual day. Very disappointed! No one called to inform me that they wouldn't be able to deliver by said time and date, ruined the surprise I had for my friend because the driver called her and said he wouldn't be able to deliver them. Called the shop to speak to someone about this and they made no attempt to make things right or even acknowledge a fault on their end, all they did was deliver the flowers, the day after her birthday. Unfortunately I will not be ordering anything to be delivered through them again - the flowers may look great, but what's the point of paying for a delivery service that is unrealiable.

Catherine V.

Yelp
I booked an appointment with Sweetpea's back in December to discuss flowers for my wedding. I mostly chose them because they were on the recommended list for my wedding venue. While the customer service was ok, the quote that I received was INSANELY high- as in more than double the price of the other several florists I met with. My suggestion is to do your homework before using this florist for your arrangements.

Liza Z.

Yelp
Beautiful work created by kind and understanding professionals. Very empathic.

Yelp
Recently popped in for a last minute gift and was incredibly happy with the fast custom arrangement and value. Great customer service and such nice folks. Will remain my first choice for flowers in TO.

P D.

Yelp
Their flowers are lovely, but literally every time we go there, we walk in and we aren't greeted or offered any help. This has happened over 10 times that I've walked in, at both the old and the new locations. We live in the neighborhood, so we pop in and out for occasions like Mother's Day, Valentine's etc. Instead of asking if they can help, the staff behind the counter continue their conversations (loudly). I have walked in and out (as have my kids) without a staff person once acknowledging me, on multiple occasions.

Yelp
Excellent service. Very professional. They made such a beautiful arrangement. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
A Sweetpea's bouquet is my go-to when I really care about the recipient. (Yes, I play favourites) So elegant without being stuffy. Pretty and sophisticated at the same time. They're not cheap, but totally worth it. Never felt ripped off when I see the final result. And if you can, spring to have it delivered with a vase. They're always keepers - no dollar store specials - and I always find them unique and interesting.

Angela L.

Yelp
I've ordered flowers a couple times from here and both times I requested a photo of the arrangement. Not only did I not receive an email confirmation when my order was delivered (very strange as I always receive a delivery confirmation from other florists), but I didn't receive the photo that I requested. Both times, I had no way of knowing what the arrangement looked like and if it was even delivered. This left me feeling very uneasy, especially since the arrangements were expensive.

Brenda I.

Yelp
Disappointed in arrangement from Yorkville shop that I purchased for a gift It looked cheap and I had to pull some of the flowers out when I got home I have bought pretty little bouquets at a reasonable price from them in the past which were a lot nicer than the arrangement today that cost over 4 times more I should not have placed order over the phone....

Yelp
I was extremely disappointed with the experience I had with Sweetpea's. It started out ok and after our second meeting we left with a better idea of the flowers and colour scheme we were going to use which I was in love with. It all went downhill however once we did the mock up. I arrived and wondered whose flowers were sitting in front of me as they looked NOTHING like what we had discussed. The colour scheme was mainly white (ours was suppose to be pinks and peaches) and for some reason yellow carnations were thrown in which yellow and carnations were something we never discussed. They charged somewhere around $80-100 for this horrible mock up too which seemed ridiculous considering how much money we were spending with them and that it was all wrong. And when I asked where my favourite flowers were the response was they couldn't get any because of weather. When I inquired what the back up plan to replace that flower was they stared at me blankly. So my confidence was completely shaken but we had another meeting which I thought would settle things. Unfortunately it didn't as it seemed like yet again they didn't listen to what I wanted. Day of the wedding they were an hour late so we missed all the photos with the groom putting on the boutonnieres (which were not cheap) and they almost didn't make it in time for my own photos. When they finally did arrive I was confused as the colour scheme again was off from what we had discussed (had some purpleish colours in it which I didn't want). Then when I got to the venue I noticed my table signs (which were garden posts suppose to be placed in the centerpieces) were looking unstable in the centerpiece. It was then that I discovered that they didn't use the flower sponge blocks like I specifically requested as I needed them to hold up the table signs. I literally emailed them pictures of the signs I was using and had an in person discussion to confirm. So overall I found that this place just does not listen which as a bride I feel like you want good listening skills from your florist (and punctuality). The colours were off, they were late and they didn't listen to specific instructions on the sponge blocks which were very important to the table signs. It was really my only regret of the wedding using them

Cherry B.

Yelp
A staff member was incredibly rude as I was browsing around today. I don't go in here much because everything is overpriced and some of the staff can be unfriendly. It's too bad because it's a beautiful store but I'll only spend money somewhere where I feel welcome.

Nadine E.

Yelp
It's not often you feel totally taken care of, just from a phone call. Sweetpea's staff was warm, very helpful, polite, confident and full of humour. I asked around for a certain kind of tropical flower and they were the only ones who would have it ready by the next day. Also, they were the only ones to not feel so pushy and they just seemed on point with their interactions. They kept my vague request within budget, and on time in delivery. Oh, and the arrangement was pretty. Just excellent service, all around. Very happy customer! :)

Jay O.

Yelp
Less than impressed with the product and service. I ordered a bouquet of flowers approximately 5 days ahead of my girlfriend's birthday. The day before the flowers were to be delivered I received a call from Sweetpea's explaining the product could not be sold as described. With little time to plan an alternative before the birthday, I agreed to go ahead with the order. On the day of delivery I was told the bouquet would be delivered between the hours of 1 pm and 6 pm. The flowers did not arrive within the window and were delivered roughly 30 minutes late. In addition, I was less than impressed with the final product despite being assured by Sweetpea's they would make up for not being able to provide their displayed product with an enhanced arrangement. I will not be ordering from Sweetpea's again.

Yelp
Ruined my elderly father's wedding and then lied about the reason they couldn't complete what they had agreed to. My father who lives overseas and is here visiting, decided to propose to his girlfriend, which meant a fairly tight timeline on getting everything setup. Early last week I went to speak with the owner at the shop who told me that although they had six weddings for that weekend, they would put what we needed together for us. She asked me to come back on the weekend, so I went in yesterday and spent half an hour detailing what we would require. I was then told that their wedding person would call me today with the cost. Instead, I received a call late this afternoon letting me know that they would not be completing my order because they were simply too busy. Six days since I first when in to see them have now been wasted, and today is Sunday, which means I have to start the entire process again tomorrow, with the wedding on Friday.
